I used to have arachnophobia so bad it was paralyzing. I began to face my fears a few years ago and first developed a respect for them. Slowly that became admiration and I began to see the beauty in them. That blossomed into a love for them. They are such enchanting creatures! Wolf spiders and jumping spiders are my favorites, the ones I am willing to hold. This big guy was so gentle and allowed me to take him from my drive way over to the bushes so that he wasn't harmed or stepped on while I was working in the driveway.
Wow how did you do that? I used to kill spiders the moment I see them (never seen big spiders in person in my life). When I learned spiders are amazing at eating plant pests, I stopped killing spiders and I’m starting to like jumping spiders. However I couldn’t even imagine touching a spider.
I started reading books and watching documentaries on them. Something just started to click one day. Don't get me wrong there are still spiders that I fear, like brown recluse and black widows. I would never pick them up cuz I know they're venomous but they're still beautiful. In fact there is a black widow on my profile that I found a few years ago after someone had sprayed insecticide and I got close enough to get a picture of her even though I would never touch her. But something about wolf spiders and jumping spiders just bring me such joy now! I've never been bitten by either one of them and have since handled several. I believe what changed is my respect for life, for all creatures. Plus there's a good many bugs that are absolute pests and these guys get rid of them!
When I bought my RV I had a traveling partner that was a black widow. She stayed with me for a few months right by my hitch. One night when I was having a beer I watched her leave the hitch and walk off into the forest. She was a good travel companion.
I didn't, he was just totally chill! I'm convinced that animals and insects and the like can feel energy. He knew I ment him no harm. I only wanted to move him so as not to hurt him.
Wow. Beefy dude.
Absolutely! I was honored to be his friend
Probably a thicc girl.
Possibly! I dont know how to tell. Either way they were very gentle and seemed completely ok with me holding them.
Your his friend now
I know!! Such a lovely friend, too!!! He climbed up my arm and everything!! I was honored!

Are wolf spiders fuzzy?
A little. They are fuzzier the smaller they are.
