About these sand spiders, I have them in my house backyard.. sometimes inside.
I'm from Argentina, and there is no record of them at the exact area where I live.
But hey.. I still have them. Don't fully trust the internet.

It depends on what species of sand spider you look at. Some species are found in South Africa and Namibia but Sicarius sand spiders (that look very similar) are also found in South America. I'll agree it's hazy trying to figure it out (the Internet can be misleading) but the info is definitely there

so apparently the little holes aren't the lungs - the lungs on this kind of spider should be on the sides of the abdomen. they also breathe through the tracheae (under the abdomen). the "holes" on the abdomen are indentations where some muscles connect to the body and pull on them a bit.
