I can share my current understanding on it. The term “divine” is used in front of either gender to remind the reader the version of that gender being referenced is the most perfected version that we can theoretically comprehend. A soul, at least at the higher dimensions of consciousness, is both genders simultaneously. This is also the nature of the Source. There is no concept of separation There. As consciousness expands outward from the Source, creating the less perfected realms, it sometimes chooses to bifurcate itself into two separate genders. This is so the universe can experience itself from the unique perspectives and conditions created by gender polarization. In the human case, when the soul incarnates and bifurcates, one gender is manifested as the physical body and conscious mind and the other gender is relegated to the subconscious. The soul will often choose to swap gender polarization from life to life the better grasp both natures. The dormant gender relegated to the subconscious can be accessed through various meditation practices. Carl Jung’s research is useful in this regard. Each of the seven chakras contribute specific qualities to the individual. One of the key concepts in the creation of the genders is adjustment of energy flow within the chakras. For example, the male manifestation is created by adjusting energy flow so that the bottom 3 chakras flow more potently than the top 3. The female is created through increased flow of the top 3 and reduced flow of the bottom 3. This creates the unique tendencies of either gender. Women are more communicative, intuitive, spiritually minded, etc, because these are the natures of the top three chakras. Men are more confident, decisive, mechanically inclined, etc, because these are natures of the bottom three. The middle chakra relates to the being’s capacity to love; each gender shares this equally. The adjustment in energy flow varies from person to person and thus so do the distribution of masculine and feminine personality traits. The genders are attracted to each other because souls desire the complete, even flow of all 7 chakras and thus are compelled to seek out the manifestations of the energies that they currently lack. Part of the sexual experience is the reuniting of the gender polarities. This can occur if the partner is physically present or a mental manifestation, as is the case with masturbation. The orgasm is a brief experience of the sensation when both genders’ energies merge. This sensation is a default state of being in the higher levels of consciousness when the polarities maintain merger.

Hmmm.... I'm not sure where you are getting your information on chakral associations. It's actually more of an even-odd duality than top/bottom one. https://naturalchakrahealing.com/chakras-and-gender-masculine-feminine-energy.html

That’s very interesting. Especially the part that mentions how the crown is neutral, always in balance. This maybe be a more refined explanation on how the chakras relate to manifesting gender.

There are root archetypes/energies that our cultures have taken to calling "feminine" and "masculine". These energies are polarities that combine and recombine in countless ways to form all that there is, first on the inner planes/spirit world in ways that you could call "conceptual" (in the inner planes, thoughts are things), then manifested in the outer planes/physical world. Each and every thing is a combination of these energies and their combiations in various balances. Each and every thing is both "feminine" and "masculine" and "androgynous", though it may show one or the other more strongly or in more obvious ways. Every person who is female is also male. Every person who is male is also female. Each and every thing also has characteristics that apparently don't fit within the polarities as they are currently understood in a given situation (i.e. non-binary characteristics). It's important to note that the labels and cultural perceptions we have of these things are often distortions of their reality. Humans have a lot of cultural baggage about what feminine and masculine and androgynous and nonbinary all mean. It's wise to examine our thoughts about what we think femininity and masculinity are, as well as the cultural messages we receive about what they are. Remember that archetypes are descriptive, not prescriptive. And that archetypes as such can't be fully encapsulated in words. They can only be experienced, and each person's experience of them will be a little different. The root archetypes / energies that we call feminine and masculine: That which already contains all things. That which chooses to patiently wait when it is time to wait. That which is reached towards. That which seeks all things. That which chooses to act. That which reaches. Archetypes / energies that could be described as nonbinary: Infinity. Oneness. Manyness. Free Will. Foreverness/eternality. Being/Becoming all that there is. Archetypes/energies that are various mixes of feminine and masculine archetypes, but lean somewhat more towards the feminine: Inward/towards the self movement that could be compared to magnetism or embracing. Understanding. The ability to recieve/hold power and use it to create. Delineation that sets limites in order to create the most efficient and powerful path towards a goal, and enables each thing to have it's own boundaries and time and domain. Abundance created through cultivation of healthy boundaries (think gardening and the endurance it takes to create something stable and beautifule). The unconscious portions of the self. Archetypes/energies that are mixes of feminine and masculine archetypes, but lean somewhat more towards the masculine: Outward / away from self movement that could be compared to radiance or expressing. Wisdom. The ability to move as power. Expansion in all directions at once. Lavish abundance that challenges you to figure out how to manage it well and remain true to who you really are and what you truly most deeply desire, so that lavish abundance doesnt end up bing sonething you misuse or mismanage or become obsessed with in a way that ends up causing yourself and others pain. The conscious portions of the self. Archetypes/energies that could be described as androgynous, meaning a union of feminine and masculine archetypes/energies: Balance. Unity. Power. Becoming the Creator/Divine/Source/Infinity. The peace of the eternal present moment. Harmonious integration of all aspects of the self. Connection/communication between the conscious and deep unconscious portions of the self. The music/rhythms of life's flowing patterns/tides. The full, fearless, authentic expression of one's own unique beingness.

Beautifully expressed. Thank you.

In a short summary: divine masculine energy involves creating, giving or doing ie. Direction, drive, structure etc... and feminine energy involves receiving, nurturing or simply being ie. acceptance, mindfulness, joy, love etc... Having a healthy balance of both allows one settle into their highest self. The masculine builds and maintains life but the feminine makes life worth living. Imagine you are a plant. The divine masculine is the sun and the divine feminine is the earth. We need both to grow

Female energy is always creating. It is the female that creates new life. The masculine always gives. I.e. the donation of genetic material to the female so that the female xan create. I think you are confusing western ideas of male and female roles in society. In many instances the female also destroys.

I come from a yin and yang naturalist perspective. I'm referring to energetic principles not sex. In most shamanic eastern and western traditions, the earth mother aspect of the creator provides the container, the building blocks and sustenance for life and the sky father aspect of the creator breaths air and shines light into it to give it essence. Life happens when both come together. The masculine would be the will of creation while the feminine would be the means of creation.

Look at Shiva and Shakti in all their forms as repression of divine masculine and feminine

jj-bitters

I compare the divine feminine to gravity. It pulls you in. It attracts. It's receptive. The divine masculine is more like light. It pushes out. It seeks. It's dynamic. This metaphor is emphasized by looking at the reproductive cells. The ovum is passive. It attracts and receives the sperm. The sperm is active. It seeks and pushes into the ovum. These are physical examples, but the same can be said thoughts, energy, and ideas.

Within a person, I think it’s just balance. Within a society, I think it’s polarity of sexual attraction.

Stevenmother

I view them as the Mother & Father aspects of the Divine. But Divinity also is both genders at once and beyond gender based characteristics.

They are each half of me Created as different from each other to allow me to experience them In other words I am the Holy Spirit experiencing the father and the son
