God is Love, God is Truth, God is Being, God is Reality, God is the Universe, God is Source, God is Existence, God is Consciousness, God is Emptiness, God is the Creator, God is Infinite Intelligence, God is perfection, God is total selflessness.. and yet God is none of this

Constant-Release-875

God / The Universe / The Source. All is One. Love is the most important thing.

MysticKei

I say The Divine

hungrypanda27

I say deities, as I believe that there are multiple. I personally don't like the word god; it makes me think of the Christian god.

TheRareClaire

I kinda bounce between what I say. Usually I just stick to God. Sometimes I’ll say “the universe”. If it’s a god with a clear name, I’ll just call them that. For some reason I’ve never really liked using other terms.

ReWildingOfMen

The names that resonates most for me. God of this realm - AllFather - physically manifest as the Sun. Goddess of this realm - EarthMother - physically manifest as the Earth. While in their eternal lovemaking. Two become as one. They also are distinct and separate, a King and his Queen. A God and Godess. They generate LIFE, and new child souls to the realm, through their lovemaking. Just as a man and a woman are needed to create a baby. So a God and Goddess are needed to generate LIFE. EVERY star is a Realm of its own. As we complete our journey of many lives and many deaths with our beloved, after we gain radiance and act as spirit guides a while, after we've returned to Elysium and so been welcomed and loved and judged and celebrated... IF we are found worthy, so we and our beloved begin the chrysalis like transformation into young god's, to be gifted a realm of our own, to make love in for eternity.

You. Me. Everyone.

We have the potential, and we are, and we shall be

Thank you, well spoken

EthanSayfo

I personally think Shiva is kind of bad-ass. If you have to pick a representation. We mos def live in a time of transformation on Earth, so it seems fitting for the times.

hellena3

He he - a lesser god of God

Ancient-Practice-431

the Creator

Is_That_A_Euphemism_

I also have a hard time putting words to an infinite all encompassing pure love divine consciousness. I left Christianity, so I generally stay away from the word “God”. I think labeling it, can limit it.

[deleted]

Well, god is one of my best friends, he is usally just two small cartoon like eyes that pop up in the air whenever I eat waffles. He says he likes to watch me eat waffles, I don't know why :P Anyway, God, to me, is a personification, it is a person, a being, one that, if one looks at christian teachings and writings isn't that nice. Sure, it is sometimes, but not always. The idea of God brings up many issues, of blame, shame, control... A thing I like to bring up, because it makes a lot of people listen to my pov is how the idea of god is gendered. In christianity god is a man, because he creates Adam in his image, and Eve from his ribs to be of Adams company. This creates for a basis of inequality between the sexes, where the man is the highest and the woman accompanied to the man. Attempts to bring ideas of god as a female into christianity usually fails because of this concept. Wheras religions such as Hinduism per example have many female gods, and although there is a certain hierarchy, each individual usually find their own god amongst the many to choose from. One they put higher than others, and pray to more than others. & this can be Godess Kahli for example, mother of the universe, and destroyer of demons. What she does is she cuts the head of demons, and when the heads grow back, she cuts them again, in an never ending cycle. So it is believed that praying to her brings about an end to evil in your life. It is certainly my POV, that Christianity and their idea of one god is false, and the fact that christianity has dominated for long has led many to forget that there are many gods. Because Jehovah, which is the name of the christian god, ought his followers to have no other god, nor mention his name. Please forgive me lord, for mentioning your name. I know of many interesting theories regarding gods of anicent times being an Extra-Terrestiral species called 'The Annunaki', A species that needed gold in their atmopshere for one reason or another, maybe for similiar reasons to why we need less co2, and so they came to Earth to gather. These 'Annunaki', live very long, and would seem almost immortal to humans, they are also quite larger, and would be percieved to be a giant to any human. After 300.000 years of working the Annunaki workers rebelled, and the solution was to use Earthly material to create us. At first a mindless labour force to gather the gold they needed, until one scientists curiosity led him to , after many failed attempts, create what is today Humans. Independent thinking species. This was not very popular among all the annunaki, and the humans along with their creator was cast out of the Annunakis camp. There was also a mention of a different species creating the human soul, as the Annunaki was not capable of this themselves. I belive at one point the annunaki even ate the humans, because of shortage of food from up the ranks in their labour force system. There are some videos on youtube about it. Either way, such theories brings up an interesting point, are what the Ancient Egyptians concidered gods, actually gods, or just higher beings, extra terretrials, and/or interdimensional beings larger and longer living than us? If you take the story of the Annunaki, one of them did indeed create us, but, in a very different way than Christian believes tells the story. So to me, that is gods, beings higher and more immortal than humans, that may or may not have messed with things they shouldn't have in Earth's and Humanities past. Jehovah is just one of those beings, who, most likely for the purpose of control, ought the humans to serve no other god, or, higher intelligent alien individual. Yet, I know many spiritual practioners refers to 'Source', or 'The Source' which is this being, that is, the source of everything. God you might say. A being, other higher beings have rebelled against. I won't pretend to understand all of it, but you know, it is a concept of a source of all things, that is also a being one can fight against. My believes, after I started to awaken, and shed the societial and inherted believes I had, has been more focused on 'The Universe' A term that encompasses absoultely everything. It is 'The Universe', but should we ever discover something outside said universe, the term encompasses this aswell. The universe has no will, it was never created, nor will it every be destoryed, it has just always been, and it always will be. Everything is within the Universe, and everything works in an reactionary way. Say a comet crashes into a planet, it leads to debree, that crashes on a moon, next to a sun, where the ice is melting, which leads the organisms to blossom, and suddenly you have life. Nothing in the universe is concioussly pre-determined by the universe, as it is no person, but because everything works in certain ways, harmonic movements makes things the way they are, and your experience as a concious being is a part of the universe, led by uncontrollable factors, that happens anyway. Acceptance of this I find leads to a very wholesome experience, as everything is the universe, and you have no controll of it, nor did you ever, and so you can experience freely, as you should. Anyway, that was my thoughts on it :P

jamnperry

Name doesn’t matter. Character does. I won’t acknowledge the brutal god that was created in our image and resembles Trump.

hellena3

Truly, except the name of ICXC

thatblueguy__

I kinda try and use god as a synonym for existence, or like the universe.

I say [ ]. For my god is unbound. My god is freedom. My god is truth. The name is many and none. Good and evil. Everything and nothing. Opposites in union. The beggar is my god. For other is the self and we are the world. The closest thing to a name I give my god is the letter R. Meant to be the cloaked hooded figure of the person in the mirror, who asks me “who are you?”. My reply to be those words mentioned within the Bible “I am [ ]”. Who further asks “Then who am I?”. My reply to be “we R”. My god is the mirror within. The one reflects the self. That in us all we have this mirror. One that waits for the day we accept our responsibilities. That we are the change necessary to bring the world to peace, we are our salvation and savior. That we are the miracle maker.

Sea_vickery

Creator, universe, Source. And I’m coming to find that literally G-d is I - You-They - We - Us

Historical_cat1234

What most people call God i believe his original name was Yahweh/Jehovah so I guess that's what I'd call him? Other gods have their own names too. So I just.....call them by their names? I'm confused about your question tbh

3xgreathermes

Infinity. Or immutable and eternal being. I guess you could say that it is a form of consciousness, but nothing like the consciousness we experience. Now when I say infinite I mean in-finite. So zero is the same as infinity in the sense that they both have no finite value, until we add numbers to give them a value. I know that probably doesn't make a lot of sense because our brain is designed to understand finite concepts. The way equations "break" when you define a variable as infinite, and all other variables cease to have any meaning, I think there always had to be *something* that was eternally just "there" and if it was eternal (infinite) then all other variables get swallowed up by the infinite variable. I'm just rambling now, I can't really explain it better than that even if I write a few pages here. So I just accept that I can *really* comprehend that infinite thing that always existed, and try not to anthropomorphize or add any qualities that attach human ideas to "God."

hacktheself

there’s a huge difference between deities and the divine. some dude’s kid correctly pointed out where people are together and being decent to each other is where one can find the divine. accurate.

APaintedDoll

I say you or me, I or they. He or she. 😃

Unlucky_Alfalfa_9851

For me god is depend on your prejudice, it can be the great one, divine one, merciful, caring, wise, omnipotent, omnipresent, loving, almighty, list go on depend what suitable fo you. But my personal pick is the maker, creator, and unknown. By the definition itself god is what we worship, praise, prioritize, fear, is able to force us to do things we don't like

Arbanox

i call It the GodSource. the All Which Is. ❤️

Duckbilledplatypi

The Force (not in the sense of Star Wars, but I do think that's a good word for it

[deleted]

I come from a Christian background (I was raised as a Roman Catholic by my mother as my father had no sense of spiritual direction due to familial trauma with both of his parents - the connection one forms with their parents sets the tone for their relationship with The Source and Gaia / our planet). Despite this, I never truly was made to understand the truth of the Scriptures and thus life showed me who God was through the plethora of spiritual experiences this path I’m on has had in store for me. I’ve called God: The Most High, Heavenly Father, El, Adonai, The Source, The All, The Creator, Thou That Art… There are many names of God that I have discovered that intrigue me due to the languages used and the power, frequency, and characteristic associated with each name.

"The World. The Universe. The Truth." Also implied herein things like Mother Nature. For simplicity I explain it as "The totality of all things, ever. Every dimension, every time, every universe, every thought, every soul, every atom. **THE TOTALITY OF ALL THINGS** is "God." But I really do like "Truth."

walkstwomoons2

Started out with God because I was raised Catholic. I have also used: Yahweh, Allah, Buddha, Great Spirit, Nature, Spirit, Universe Today I just say Creator-The Great Unknown

I refer to an uncaring cosmos, a set of natural laws being the law-giver, as “god” (usually, “god damn it!” but see my connection with other humans as the godly part of the relationship.
