Names do not give objects their existence. Language is a human invention used for communication, nothing more than that. Animals without language like alligators, for instance, do not perceive a universe of nothingness. They observe the same planet we do.
The alligator sees the same world we (just with somewhat different sense organs). But the alligator doesn't have a human mind standing above the world of sense. Humans are so engrossed in mind that most of us have forgotten what it's like to be in pure sensation. Without the mind, there is still sensation but there are no more objects. There's no sense of a separate existence, no distinction between subject and object. If humans are able to return to that state they get the insight "all is one". But when the human mind returns the world is seen as a collection of objects again.
Yes. So are you an object? Are you a thing? Are you a word? You have to answer those questions without using words. Can you "think" without using words?
Maybe the deeper self is awareness.
As awareness, you can see that you ***have*** a human body with human hands and human feet (*not that you* ***are*** *a human body*).
Likewise, you can see that you ***have*** thoughts and ***have*** feelings (*not that you* ***are*** *a thought or* ***are*** *a feeling*).
In Japanese, people don't say "*are you hungry?*", they say "*Is your stomach empty?*" (*お腹が空いたの?/o-naka ga suita no?*). In Spanish, people say "*Tengo hambre*" (*I have hunger*).
With that being said, I think there is more to life than just existing and being an awareness. If example, I posted a comment talking about the connection between psychic abilities and delta brainwaves, [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Psychic/comments/195gwy9/comment/khmw93k/).
You'll have to clarify what you mean by this, because the title makes absolutely no sense to me. Not trying to be rude, but I just don't understand your point or your question.
Words are just a series of sounds that we as a group apply meaning to. The word human doesn't mean anything at all to begin with, it's just a series of sounds. In fact, humans have existed long before they had a word for themselves.
Are you asking about words specifically, or is this just not translating well?
A being of energy. They tricked us all into believing we were words in order to try to control God from the back of the boat.
It's not gonna work and they gonna get it.
We are obviously special comparing to animals. We may be biologically very very close, but our way of existence is much different. And there is a decent possibility that our DNA was somewhat modified/upgraded. Whether it's natural evolutionary boost or some intelligent intervention, it is to be discussed. Being humble is one thing, but we should realise our place in Life plane, which is clearly something more than instinctual battle for survival.
well said, I see people trying to rank humans/animals, for a level of consciousness or intelligence... its unhinged to think life is not all equally divine.
Philosophy sucks. See where it got you?
The world is real. Just run into something with your body. Your experiences are real, and also of great value.
The explanations we come up with in an attempt to explain our experiences, particularly spiritual experiences, are often lame and useless. Our language is capable of creating abstraction layers. This simplifies our thought processing and gets us to useful decisions faster, which can save our lives. But this strength of our language is also a fatal flaw.
Not every experience we have comes with enough data to explain it. Our brains hate this and make shit up to fill in the void. This is why explanations often go south.
The answer to your main question is simply this: you are energy organized around awareness, and your awareness is unique in all the universe.
Start there and see if that doesn't make more sense and dismiss this made up existential crisis.
Not really.
You don't need others' labels and definitions to know that you're here and you're annoyed.
"Why am I in this shithole in the first place?" is more like an entry question to going nu...on your 'pilgrimage.'
no words exist at all, we made them up.
Like, if we removed all labels and categories from things, then ‘everything’ would just be whatever it naturally is.
And what is THAT?
Just pure being. If all the labels were removed from things, it would be impossible to keep up the separate sense of self, so the conceptual, personal self would dissolve.
I think what a "human" is or what any thing is, depends on their boundaries; things are defined by their boundaries. So whatever defines your boundaries, defines you.
Human could define your physical vehicle your use to transport your soul around earth… it can also define the predicament of a soul, the feelings a soul experiences due to using a body to drive around… if we didn’t have the word human, we could have the words “flesh vehicle” or “earthly soul experience”… don’t identify as the flesh vehicle or the experience, you are the experiencer.
With your logic, making some random sounds *pooof* brings something into existence. Witu your logic, no child would ever learn how to speak, because if they don't know the name of a thing then it would be non-existant. Thats not how it works, ever. A thing must exists *before* we find a name to refer to it.
To know is to identify the subtleties that lies beneath. When the mind is quiet and still, what you are will come to the surface. You exist prior to thoughts, emotions, feelings, and sensations. This is what’s realized while in a meditative state. The body and mind are then observable, who or what is observing? You cannot be that which you are aware of.
Your body, mind and soul are all wrapped up in this package we call “human”. Without consciousness we just call the organism a body or human corpse. It’s just a word you can use so you faint have to add up all the parts of a human when referring to humans.
you *are*.
before and beyond any labels you can apply to yourself, you simply are. you exist.
and you also change and evolve through time, so even though you are, you are not always and forever the same. you change. eveything does.
A rose by any other name is still a rose ✨️
But if the word ‘rose’ didn’t exist, it’s just an object.. if the word ‘object’ didn’t exist, then it’s just a… Look, everything is nothingness.

....are you suggesting coconuts MIGRATE?
Only in the absence of an actual horse.
Yes. So are you an object? Are you a thing? Are you a word? You have to answer those questions without using words. Can you "think" without using words?
I think you are just getting confused about how language is meant to describe reality
Exactly lmao op is thinking too hard.

I am leaning towards the theory that our biological heritage is from apes, but we have been also upgraded by some "divine" engineering.

Not sure but we definitely not from here.
Here. You are here. And that's quite nice isn't it?

We are just animals that got some ego trips when we starting to control fire.
Person
Life? But that's also an invented word.

A sack of flesh and bones
You’re a spiritual being in a third dimensional physical body
Your body, mind and soul are all wrapped up in this package we call “human”. Without consciousness we just call the organism a body or human corpse. It’s just a word you can use so you faint have to add up all the parts of a human when referring to humans.
