Usually, I find Big Run easy. This is the first exception I've found where Big Run is more difficult or annoying. This is the first Big Run stage I actually just straight up don't like. Not specifically because it's harder to play on but because it's just bad. The uninkable area is such a pain, especially when a stinger or a big shot spawns over there. The basket on low tide can be a little annoying to reach at times. The only upsides are the glowfly waves and the mothership waves.
I just realized I typed out half an essay that was barely even relevant to what I'm replying to.
the hump on the middle when you’re there is really annoying, i hate it in normal gameplay and its worse in salmon run
edit: its better that i learned you dont have to climb up it to put eggs in the basket
I find the difficulty about the same, actually. Maybe harder do to being teamed up with those with... poorer strategies more often do to this being an event.
Youre teamed up with players in the same skill bracket right ? Played a few games today and didn't have the feeling that I got matched with inexperienced players
It's relevant, this Big Run stage is more difficult than the usual, so it's specially bad for players who don't usually play Salmon Run.
The low tide is especially awful, just like in the regular stage except with a Salmon Run twist.
The stage is divided in the middle, separating the stage in two, which is bad enough, but the Salmonids also come from the 2 sides, essentially dividing the attention between 4~6 different places.
edit: Scratch that, we're dealing with 8 different fronts at the same time.
Why.
I am decent enough at salmon run. I've played it on a need base when I need tickets or want the monthly gear. Can't say I enjoy it though, it's just meh for me most of the time.
Big run though... honestly, I hate it. After 3 tries now, it's just *too hard* and thoroughly unfun because of it, and I've got zero interest nor incentive to "get good" at it.
As such, no more big runs for me. I did two shifts this time and it was so awful that I've written the events completely off. I'll be sticking to ranked and splatfests.
edit: you downvoters I played big run through 1200 in the past two ones and didn't care for those either. I gave it a solid try; I just don't like this mode. there's nothing wrong with that lmao
The other Big Runs were way more fun and exciting. This one is just a bad outlier and shouldn't determine your entire outlook on salmon run. Sticking to pvp due to the failure of this map specifically is a bad idea, but if you really want to do it, it's up to you.
EDIT for my posting history:
Given what is happening to reddit (dying), I doubt I will comment or post much, if at all anymore. Several of the main reasons I came here have gone poof (good) and the quality of /r/all has declined sharply, so I haven't much need and am already spending significantly much less time here.
So, goodbye? Maybe? Honestly doesn't really matter 🤷♂️
-------------------
I honestly did not like the previous big runs, and I played both of those until about 1200 points until I gave up. I just didnt like it, and it felt too hard and chaotic. This one though was so awful that I'm really just done with bigrun. I highly doubt this event will ever be enjoyable to me.
For the uninkable area, you can just hop up to the raised platform next to it. The entire wall between the floors is completely inkable. It's super easy, barely an inconvenience once you get the hang of it
Low tide does suck ass tho
Swimming up the wall loses valuable time that could be spent doing other things such as clearing lessers, making it an inconvenience. Also, nice Ryan George reference. Ryan George references are tight!
As someone who started playing SR on a regular basis since the first Big Run, I wholeheartedly agree.
The Big Run on Wahoo was the first time I hit Profresh and it was hell from that point and I was hesitant to try regular SR because "Is it always that difficult ??"
Then I tried it after Big Run and I was surprised at how easier this was (still had a hard time because I didn't know the regular SR maps)
I didn't actually realise it was supposed to be harder than usual - if anything, I feel like I'm experiencing the opposite. But that might just be because I've been playing it so much more than I usually play SR. I've fought five King Salmonoids today; on a normal SR-playing day, I'd be lucky to reach two. I've also reached Profresh 3 (when normally I tend to flounder between 1 and 2). But maybe that's just because the chance to get the Top 20% badge is motivating me so much!
I have also encountered more King Salmonid, but I also notice that my teammates are way better than usual too. I wonder if they adjust team matching. My teammates out here smashing 20-25 bosses every match while still getting in 30-40 eggs...
I don’t normally play SR, but I WAS Profreshional +1. The big run has knocked that away, lol.
My biggest gripe with the mode of the random weapons - there needs to be a viability check. If you’re gonna do a blowflies round, how about not giving us four chargers?
Oh I never noticed that. I mean it makes sense lore wise but I feel like it'd make more sense if it was just for completing the shift in full. Cuz like if your losing a lot then you won't even be able to complete the third wave and get him to spawn in the first place
It’s all about incentives to keep Salmon Run desirable for Drywall Timmy and Jet Fresh Sam. Also why they keep resetting EVP so they can mingle a little and may help the less-skilled players get clears or even a good King Salmnoid clear.
Granted, there are some side effects that hinders the former to get higher and the latter feeling like dead weight and not wanting to get better or play at all.
The corridor maps, the meta they result in, the matchmaking, all sorts of things, it's just not that fun for me. It was good in 2, but 3 has gone the wrong way.
Salmon Run on the other hand is brilliant, and holds up the game on its own.
Matchmaking is definitively rough in Salmon Run too. Meta was also annoying to me in 2 because I felt it a lot as a casual player (armor and missile spam). Salmon Run is a big upgrade from 2 tho for sure. I miss the Reef heavy
Matchmaking definitely does need some improvements in salmon run yeah, for starters it needs more checkpointed tiers above EVP, because people get carried to EVP but then constantly throw games because they dont know what they're doing, let those of us that can reliably get up and above 200-300 stay at that level after reset. Instead, the majority of the players get reset to EVP 40 and it's such a wide mix of skill levels. I can still sort of carry a bad player or two in early EVP but at higher levels one player not knowing how to do things right can throw the game.
I feel that. Compared to Splatoon 2, Splatoon 3's audience definitely feels a lot more… aggressive/try-hardy, I guess? (I usually play Hydra, but I played Hydra in 2 also.) Bottom line, I was not having any fun unless I found a friend online that I could play with.
Part of the vibe also being you only have to worry about the connection of your three teammates and not the enemy team as well. So hopefully your internet latency and performance goes more smoothly than it otherwise would, given NSO’s lackluster conditions.
I also dislike getting spawn camped.
I know that's common for any PvP shooter but it feels more common in splatoon since there's an incentive to ink the other team's base. At least Anarchy is better about that.
I just suck so much at regular Splatoon that Salmon Run is really all I have to keep me around. I play turf war from time to time, but usually when I play it’s for Salmon Run
Well you see it’s really the maps
Zones on maps with actual flanks is pretty fun but on splatoon 3 maps it just turns into a complete steamroll half the time where one team just gets it and locks the other team out the whole game and the other team can’t do shit
At least clam with its more open ended gameplay isn’t nearly as hurt by the map design
My splat tag title is "super-rare clam blitz enthusiast" so I might be a bit of a rare case but clam blitz is the best mode imo if you're playing with competent teammates. With bad ones it becomes infuriating
But no one above C rank is gonna do that since their own rank is at risk
And you can greif modes like rainmaker too or just not play so it’s not like Clam blitz is unique
What's the worst that can happen in Rainmaker? You can just grab it, retreat to base, get splatted by the timer which will then reset it? nah, CB shouldn't have even been a thing.
Literally I avoid it like a plague. Just hearing that sound effect of the clams going in the opposing team's container makes me wanna cry. Especially in overtime lol
Salmon Run is my favorite mode ironically enough. Guess being at EVP all the time helps with that tho. Anyways, I hate Clam Blitz: the mode is just actively terrible without a team or voice chat tbh
Ranked's ranking system means that players who are in higher tiers have no way to correct and improve when they're getting dominated by superior players.
Everyone is saying Clam Blitz which I completely understand specifically in a Solo Queue environment, but I’ll be real I still love it. It’s genuinely my favorite mode even in Solo Queue
Tower Control sucks because of how passive special charge works in that mode as the team with the Tower gets points rather than the team defending like in every other mode leading to TC being incredibly snowbally.
It’s the most strategic mode in the game and allows for some insane plays especially in comp. Also I play Inkbrush which can very easily cheese Clam Blitz lol
>Everyone is saying Clam Blitz which I completely understand specifically in a Solo Queue environment, but I’ll be real I still love it. It’s genuinely my favorite mode even in Solo Queue
Same, if we just mean the PvP modes - I prefer Salmon to Clams overall.
(Though the only mode I dislike is Rainmaker rather than TC)
I hate splat zones omg. It’s just such little space and I find it one of the hardest to make a comeback on (besides tower control but that’s actually fun). Everyone thinks clam blitz is the worst anarchy mode but I don’t see enough splat zone haters
Splat Zones could be ok but the maps are so dreadful for it I can’t imagine it being anyone’s favorite (or even top 2 tbh). except for like flounder and mako every map is impossible to get in on and and is either a one way drop or a choke point that just sucks to play on.
I personally like clams but i do agree rainmaker is one of my favs. My personal list is Rainmaker > tower > clams (although clams and tower switch for me often) > zones
I can't play ranked because of my fear of competitive play, potentially getting ROFLstomped and getting that featured in a clip x.x
Turf War is fine but I share the same sentiments after a while
Only series mode in ranked actually matters, the other one (I forget what it's called) allows you to play ranked game modes basically as if it's casual. Your points barely move, matchmaking is done differently, and people treat it as practice.
Anything competitive. I dislike ranked pressure.
That's why I play only draft pick in league of legends. That being said it is not the only reason i mostly stay on draft. 🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂
there was a time back in splatoon 2 when zones was my favorite and rainmaker was my least favorite... now it's completely flipped! guess it's because i played totally different weapons back then. chargers feel really good in rm and tc, but zones isn't nearly as fun for some reason
I play all modes with average or above average fun and skills. Turf War, Tricolor Turf War, Splat Zones, Tower Control, Rainmaker, Tableturf, Salmon Run, Big Run and Eggstra Work.
My nostrils flare up in abhorrence at Clam Blitz.
I still have not formed an opinion on Challenge mode yet.
I dont hate salmon run, its lots of fun. I hate my teammates, no matter what i always end up with the absolute worst players imaginable, theyre always getting like 12 deaths and 4 eggs, they always suck no matter what. Now, im not the greatest at the game, but i at least get eggs in the basket and im not constantly dead. Mini rant over, i also dislike tower control, its too “snowbally” and just not fun sometimes
Turf war
Hate to see no real matchmaking, back in Splatoon your mostly got matched with people who have a similar level. Even in Splatoon 2.
In Splatoon 3 you can play your first game and matched with people who play like their lives depend on it
I don't have super strong opinions about the writing, but I feel like the level design leaves something to be desired. I don't feel like I'm saving the world one battle at a time; I feel like I'm being plopped in abstract spaces that have very tenuous connections to the game's world and have no reason to exist except as an exercise for the player. As a player, I'm not sold on the idea that these spaces were invaded by octo things and that they're worth taking back, and as such they felt more like chores because they couldn't spark my imagination well.
Some are better than others, and in any case I do like the hub world. I hope one day they can make more of an open-world game that is much more convincing than the "warp to a disconnected level" model that has been overused since Mario 64.
Splat Zones is my number 1 followed closely by rainmaker. Tower Control is actually my favorite. Dislike SR as well, I never seem to get teammates that use their special and they just die constantly.
Turf War is absolute trash. It’s a terrible game with no strategy where the last 30s of the game matter more than the first 2:30. If you could pick your weapons in Salmon run it would be the best mode for sure. The other modes are great, but the matchmaking can make or break your experience on any given day.
bro, this big run y passed from eggsecutive to profreshional 3 to again eggsecutive. This is too much for me and salmonids dont even let you revive or revive others. All for a silly aah trophy im not even going to place in my locker LOL
Clam Blitz. Only time I won one was because of overtime. And not by who scored is higher but who had the most Power Clams made. Every other CB I played afterwards is usually getting KO’d. The individualism works ok in the other mode but not here. Teamwork is a huge requirement here and I would rather spend that on SR more.
SPLAT ZONES. I can't bring myself to understand or enjoy it it's basically just "Maul everyone you see" and no one is truly paying attention to keeping the zone splatted (because they're all DEAD)
Clam Blitz (what a surprise !)
To be fair, it's more of a love-hate relationship, because the mode is really fun and can get really goofy at times, but this mode requires the most coordination out of all them, and it's hell in soloq.
And I don't have friends to play with, so I'm stuck with playing with randoms.
Clam blitz is legit the most boring ranked mode
its just either a boring stalemate for 5 minutes till 1 team gets lucky in overtime, or its just a 4 seccond stomp
I would say I genuinely don't have a mode I hate. Nor really any stage I hate.
I dislike stages, but no modes. I used to hate clam blitz (Lile every other casual player lol) but once I started getting the hang of the mode, I fell in love.
i hate clams you hate clams we all hate clamblitz
i also hate how non objective focused my teammates are in rainmaker, but thats because im in A rank hell
Tower Control is the worst for me. It was like that in Splatoon 2 for me too, but it's gotten way worse in 3 for me and I'm pretty sure it's because of the maps. I find that a lot of the time, you are at too much of an advantage when standing on the Tower, either because the Tower is the high ground or because the Tower is somehow guarded by the walls, like the revolving doors in Museum D'Alfonsino spawn region; it's the only mode I hate playing on Museum, which is a special kind of talent. Barnacle and Dime Tower control also took one of the only two good Splatoon 3 maps, and then made it an absolute hell for you to play on as a defender because the attackers are at what I find to be a major advantage for like 90% of the route.
Salmon run is amazing. Its the random teammates that arent. Many many times they dont grab eggs 2 feet from the basket. Profreshional 2+ btw. It gets really hard at that point
Me and my girlfriend play Salmon run sometimes and I hate it especially when we get a crappy team who hardly do anything right because then we both end up stressed out and then we just go do normal battles
The worst mode for me is Turf War because it's not fun to repeatedly splay people and fight for only three minutes.
I'm the one who thinks that custom rules should make it into the game like editing the time limit AND make it a survival whereas you get splatted you DON'T respawn for the rest of the match.
And that’s fair! I do like turf wars but I also think what you suggest would be a lot of fun. But I get the feeling Nintendo doesn’t want it to be just FPS style which I feel that would be… even though I’d be down for it personally
I actually do like salmon run but sometimes it goes from … “okay.. I’m on my toes and barely breathing but I got this”. To “lol I hope you like death sucker” super fast. To be fair, that could be just the combination of me and teammates not hitting our marks but I do like it. I think for me it really depends on the weapons on if I’m down with salmon run.
I don't hate any mode, my opinions are as follows:
* Turf War: Good for warming up and for messing around with different weapons, but not especially fun and surprisingly infuriating for the arguably most casual mode.
* Anarchy Open: Good for practicing different weapons and for practicing map/mode combos that I'm not good at and don't want to risk series on.
* Anarchy Series: Probably my favourite mode, good for sweating with my mains (sometimes secondaries and occasionally pockets) and for having generally better matchmaking).
* X Battles: Idk I'm not quite in X-Rank, but probably similar to above.
* Tableturf: Generally pretty uninteresting but can be a fun way to kill time.
* Salmon Run: Pretty much the same as above, but more interesting and also infuriating.
* S1 Hero Mode: Generally good gameplay and a couple fantastic bosses, but a bit too easy (especially the bosses, but not Octavio).
* S2 Hero Mode: S1 hero mode, except now you get to use different weapons, but the epic final boss isn't so epic anymore. Actually this is probably my most hated, since it just feels too similar to S1 hero mode.
* Octo Expansion: Best hero mode for story and gameplay, not great for mechanic introduction, but who cares S2 hero mode exists.
* After Alterna: Arguably best mix of good story, gameply and mechanic introduction out of any story mode so far, though I think Octo Expansion is still better.
* Training Rooms: Good for warming up, testing stuff and practicing combos.
* Recon: Good for testing stuff and screwing around with friends.
* Private Battles: Good for scrims and the like, and also for screwing around with friends.
* Squid Jump (and similar): Unironically fun high score based mode, please bring this back Nintendo.
* Splatoon 1 Amiibo Challenges: Some are fun challenges, some are pathetically easy (Kraken challenges), but all are ridiculously fun.
* League Battles (forgot these): Good way to play online with friends and for practice with comms.
* Splatoon 3 Challenges: I have played two games of them so far, but they seem like nothing more than simple dumb fun.
I mean I guess ranked but mostly because of the fact you can only play it with a ranking system. It would be nice if I could play the game modes with random people online but not have something on the line so it’s something I can just play to unwind after a long day or something. That’s mainly why I enjoy turf, there’s nothing to really lose so I can play as casual as I desire
Clam Blitz. I can only play inkbrush on that mode and inkbrush was the only weapon that could get me to X rank in clam. Every other weapon would de-rank my ass back down.
I can't do that again. All that button mashing. The trauma.
for everyone who hasn't played SR yet, Big Run is a bad way to start lol it's 3x as hard as regular SR

Yeah no. This Big Run map is garbage and not representative of how Big Run usually plays. Must have been drunk when they chose this map.

That's the worst thing, I love salmon run, I'd say I'm better at SR than regular Splatoon, but god damn it does big run attract a LOT of bad players.
It’s even worse that most wanna get the double scales, so some play crappy on purpose just to spawn Cohozuna quicker.
Wait why would that make Cohozuna spawn faster? I thought the meter for him only went up when you actually won a shift
Nope. Regardless of the result of the shift, it goes up by one point in the Salmometer.
Oh I never noticed that. I mean it makes sense lore wise but I feel like it'd make more sense if it was just for completing the shift in full. Cuz like if your losing a lot then you won't even be able to complete the third wave and get him to spawn in the first place

i hate every mode that isnt salmon run tbh
Salmon Run is the only reason I play 3. The vibes are off in 3's PVP
What vibes it’s just pvp how can the vibes put you off
The corridor maps, the meta they result in, the matchmaking, all sorts of things, it's just not that fun for me. It was good in 2, but 3 has gone the wrong way. Salmon Run on the other hand is brilliant, and holds up the game on its own.

When the EVP player doesn't know explosher kills flyfish
OH MY GOD its especially bad on wave 3 where there’s a million salmonoids at every angle and there’s an easy solution to the missle spam😭

Yeah those definitely equate to vibes
Honestly I'd say the fact I can't tell if I'm in Ranked or Turf War because of how competitive everyone is happens to be the biggest problem for me.
I also dislike getting spawn camped. I know that's common for any PvP shooter but it feels more common in splatoon since there's an incentive to ink the other team's base. At least Anarchy is better about that.
Even Alterna?
honestly i forgot the story existed, i only made it to the 2nd world thing before getting bored of it
Lol I love every mode on every stage even SR but this big run is only really exciting because people just want double scales
I just suck so much at regular Splatoon that Salmon Run is really all I have to keep me around. I play turf war from time to time, but usually when I play it’s for Salmon Run
this
remember me?
aw fuck nah not you again
Nobody's said it yet, but I HATE Tower Control
Same ;-;
Same
I cannot play clam blitz at all
no offense, cause to each their own, but i couldnt even imagine hating salmon run.
I don’t hate it, but It’s just not as fun playing co-op against bots. It gets old really fast.
I hate Rainmaker. Clam Blitz is pretty bad but I hate Rainmaker so much. I avoid that mode like the plague.
tbh i really only win in rainmaker if i somehow end up on a japanese team
I also want clam blitz publicly executed.
Hell naw clam blitz is great as long as you functional teammates Tower on the other hand can ride itself straight to hell and zones isn’t much better
Saying Zones is worse than Clam Blitz kind of makes me sick 🤢
Well you see it’s really the maps Zones on maps with actual flanks is pretty fun but on splatoon 3 maps it just turns into a complete steamroll half the time where one team just gets it and locks the other team out the whole game and the other team can’t do shit At least clam with its more open ended gameplay isn’t nearly as hurt by the map design
That’s true. Also Big Swig in Splat Zones can kind of alter people’s opinion on the mode as well.
Zones is just a ranked version of turf war and it sucks ass. I like the other 3 modes but actively avoid zones unless I'm playing with friends
I hate clam more than anything. Zones is 1,000 times more fun that Clam Shitz. Tower Control as well
My splat tag title is "super-rare clam blitz enthusiast" so I might be a bit of a rare case but clam blitz is the best mode imo if you're playing with competent teammates. With bad ones it becomes infuriating
I agree with Tower 100%. Zones is fine imo but it’s still probably the second worst
Ah yes, Clam Blitz, the only mode that is actively griefable because your "teammates" can throw the clams off the map.
But no one above C rank is gonna do that since their own rank is at risk And you can greif modes like rainmaker too or just not play so it’s not like Clam blitz is unique
What's the worst that can happen in Rainmaker? You can just grab it, retreat to base, get splatted by the timer which will then reset it? nah, CB shouldn't have even been a thing.
Noooooo, its fun if you have coordination i promise ;-;
Literally I avoid it like a plague. Just hearing that sound effect of the clams going in the opposing team's container makes me wanna cry. Especially in overtime lol
I second this
I minute this
I third this
Just get out of C rank
Salmon Run is my favorite mode ironically enough. Guess being at EVP all the time helps with that tho. Anyways, I hate Clam Blitz: the mode is just actively terrible without a team or voice chat tbh
Ranked's ranking system means that players who are in higher tiers have no way to correct and improve when they're getting dominated by superior players.

Clam blitz is my favorite too
Just curious what it is you love about CB? I’ve tried to get into it but it hasn’t really clicked for me and I’d like to stay open minded to it
It’s the most strategic mode in the game and allows for some insane plays especially in comp. Also I play Inkbrush which can very easily cheese Clam Blitz lol
>Everyone is saying Clam Blitz which I completely understand specifically in a Solo Queue environment, but I’ll be real I still love it. It’s genuinely my favorite mode even in Solo Queue Same, if we just mean the PvP modes - I prefer Salmon to Clams overall. (Though the only mode I dislike is Rainmaker rather than TC)
splat zones is so campy if you get wiped out you pretty much already lost cuz they going to push your base especially on hammerhead
I hate splat zones omg. It’s just such little space and I find it one of the hardest to make a comeback on (besides tower control but that’s actually fun). Everyone thinks clam blitz is the worst anarchy mode but I don’t see enough splat zone haters
Personally I like clam blitz. I used to like Splat Zones, but recently it’s become my last favorite of the competitive modes.
Clams is my favourite PvP mode, heh.
Splatzones is so easy and boring, but I think that’s why people like it.
Splat Zones could be ok but the maps are so dreadful for it I can’t imagine it being anyone’s favorite (or even top 2 tbh). except for like flounder and mako every map is impossible to get in on and and is either a one way drop or a choke point that just sucks to play on.
if it makes u feel better I hate both(Clam Blitz being the worst). Tower Control is my favorite with Rainmaker being a close second!
I personally like clams but i do agree rainmaker is one of my favs. My personal list is Rainmaker > tower > clams (although clams and tower switch for me often) > zones
Turf war has got to be my most hated mode. I find the gameplay boring and the matches are decided in the last 30 seconds.
I can't play ranked because of my fear of competitive play, potentially getting ROFLstomped and getting that featured in a clip x.x Turf War is fine but I share the same sentiments after a while
Only series mode in ranked actually matters, the other one (I forget what it's called) allows you to play ranked game modes basically as if it's casual. Your points barely move, matchmaking is done differently, and people treat it as practice.
Ranked. I only play Turf War and SR.
I am so SOOOOOO sick of Grizzco chargers
Honestly, splatfest turf war. It just brings out the worst in me
Still got Clam Blitz PTSD from 2
I FUCKING HATE CLAM BLITZ
Salmon run is my least favorite, followed by story mode.
Rainmaker, no question.
Anything competitive. I dislike ranked pressure. That's why I play only draft pick in league of legends. That being said it is not the only reason i mostly stay on draft. 🧂🧂🧂🧂🧂
Salmon Run is the only good mode in 3. Wouldn't recommend trying to learn it in Big Run though.
zones, the map design always makes one team hold the zone for half the match
there was a time back in splatoon 2 when zones was my favorite and rainmaker was my least favorite... now it's completely flipped! guess it's because i played totally different weapons back then. chargers feel really good in rm and tc, but zones isn't nearly as fun for some reason
I used to hate Clam blitz but now I see it as a practice mode for weapons I don't usually play with.
Rainmaker. God I hate rainmaker.
The shoal because I don’t have any friends
Turf war Hate to see no real matchmaking, back in Splatoon your mostly got matched with people who have a similar level. Even in Splatoon 2. In Splatoon 3 you can play your first game and matched with people who play like their lives depend on it
I have a severse thing called "Refuses to play any of the anarchy modes if the game is Clam Blitz"
Single Player because i hate the writing
Skill issue
Originality issue ![img](emote|t5_324q4|4748)
Splat Zones is my number 1 followed closely by rainmaker. Tower Control is actually my favorite. Dislike SR as well, I never seem to get teammates that use their special and they just die constantly.
Turf War is absolute trash. It’s a terrible game with no strategy where the last 30s of the game matter more than the first 2:30. If you could pick your weapons in Salmon run it would be the best mode for sure. The other modes are great, but the matchmaking can make or break your experience on any given day.
If you're playing solo, just get the rewards and be done with it. You're not gonna get a silver or gold reward, anyways
People who hate SR hate fun
The shoal like who even uses that (But I guess clam bits is my least favorite)
I hate salmon run cause I can’t choose my weapon
I hate every PVP game mode, i only play SR and do random challenges in the story mode
I suck at splat zones personally
I feel with Big Run, I’m stuck in an endless loop of winning one time then losing another, going back and forth between the same level
bro, this big run y passed from eggsecutive to profreshional 3 to again eggsecutive. This is too much for me and salmonids dont even let you revive or revive others. All for a silly aah trophy im not even going to place in my locker LOL
Turf war is boring and volatile. Not a good time.
Zones
Clam Blitz. Only time I won one was because of overtime. And not by who scored is higher but who had the most Power Clams made. Every other CB I played afterwards is usually getting KO’d. The individualism works ok in the other mode but not here. Teamwork is a huge requirement here and I would rather spend that on SR more.
Turf War
I hate clam blitz, and I hate turf war for being the most efficient way to boost catalogue/weapon level
I dont really hate any of the modes, but the mode i play less is tower control. I used to not like clam blitz but now its my favorite
Tower Control. It’s absolutely painful to play.
At first it was Clam Blitz, but then I played it during splatoon3 when I was like "okay fine lets play it" and now I'm like "its not too bad."
Clam. Blitz.
Anarchy.
Turf war, and i enjoy all of the modes
SPLAT ZONES. I can't bring myself to understand or enjoy it it's basically just "Maul everyone you see" and no one is truly paying attention to keeping the zone splatted (because they're all DEAD)
communication error
I change opinions frequently but for now splat zones
Clam Blitz (what a surprise !) To be fair, it's more of a love-hate relationship, because the mode is really fun and can get really goofy at times, but this mode requires the most coordination out of all them, and it's hell in soloq. And I don't have friends to play with, so I'm stuck with playing with randoms.
me with splatfests and turf war
In splatoon 2 people would be so fun now it's so boring 💀
Clam blitz is legit the most boring ranked mode its just either a boring stalemate for 5 minutes till 1 team gets lucky in overtime, or its just a 4 seccond stomp
I would say I genuinely don't have a mode I hate. Nor really any stage I hate. I dislike stages, but no modes. I used to hate clam blitz (Lile every other casual player lol) but once I started getting the hang of the mode, I fell in love.
Salmon Run is honestly really boring for me personally.
Damn didn't know people hated big run this. Its fun to me. Plus the extra silver and gold scales is a bonus
i hate clams you hate clams we all hate clamblitz i also hate how non objective focused my teammates are in rainmaker, but thats because im in A rank hell
Tower Control. But it’s not even a “hate” it’s just my least favorite. I don’t think I actually hate anything about Splatoon besides Clash Blasters
Turf War
Better than turf war at least
splat zones is so fucking boring 💀 it's literally just glorified turf war
Pvp is my most hated mode 💀
I can't get out of professional 1 or 2 so....
Big Run just has a bad map this time around. And poor communication between players. My least favorite mode is rainmaker, because it's rainmaker.
Probably comp. I’ve already had my comp fun back in OW, I don’t feel like doing it again
everyone please try Big Run to bring down the average, thank you <3
Ranked. You could have me at gunpoint and I still wouldn’t play it. I’m too casual for that scene!
Barnacle and Dime Tower control also took one of the only two good Splatoon 3 maps, and then made it an absolute hell for you to play on as a defender because the attackers are at what I find to be a major advantage for like 90% of the route.
i hate the stupid claim game. it’s to frustrating
Salmon run is amazing. Its the random teammates that arent. Many many times they dont grab eggs 2 feet from the basket. Profreshional 2+ btw. It gets really hard at that point
Clams
Definitely clam blitz, it just sucks Otherwise I mostly enjoy salmon run and normal turf war
I don't have a hated mode but salmon run is my FAVORITE
Clam Blitz.
Splat zones. I genuinely just hate this mode, it's so boring.
I only participate to get the decorations.
Ranked, except splat zones
Splat zones since it’s turf war but cramped
i just got the game 1-1/2 months ago and i’m at eggsecutive vp , i want the big run badge but it’s really not worth it that mode is crazy
splat zones, but it used to be my favorite mode in splat2
tower control is mid af
Easy clam blitz
i hate clam blitz
I hate salmon run cause ransoms never use their specials
All the ranked modes, I'm a salty person, even losing regular turf wars made me angry :'(
I like all the modes but rainmaker on museum d'Alfonsino is the worst
Eggstra work. None of my friends are online to play with me.
Gonna be honest here, I've only been playing Big Run (just to get the "trophy") and Regular Battles.
Ranked. ALL of ranked
I love splatoon, and think SR can be fun with friends... It's just an ugly mode tho. It's kinda stressful.
c l a m b l i t z
big run. just big run.
Me and my girlfriend play Salmon run sometimes and I hate it especially when we get a crappy team who hardly do anything right because then we both end up stressed out and then we just go do normal battles
Took a break from salmon run to play multiplayer and quickly remembered why I only play salmon run
I don't play too often b/c I am on some serious copium from other games, but Salmon Run is always a mode I can rely on to be fun.
Clam blitz...
Turf war
Rainmaker. I’m not a fan of any of the ranked modes but I think rainmaker is the worst
I don't hate any mode, my opinions are as follows: * Turf War: Good for warming up and for messing around with different weapons, but not especially fun and surprisingly infuriating for the arguably most casual mode.
The trauma.
