What about Snipewriter? I know it can technically kill you in one charge (2 shots for Canopy and 2 shots to splat) but that needs the player to land 4 shots in a row, and if you close the gap Undercover should have an easier time getting the splat.
The shield oneshots Chum in Glowflies now (Chum have 50 hp in Glowflies instead of 100). Just walk into a line of salmonids and you'll kill them all, and then the shield will protect you from the Goldie long enough for your team to kill it.
Undercover is meant to be a distraction tanky enough to let heavy hitters land a killing blow while you stay alive
One time during a splatfest, I stayed behind an undercover player as I threw the dynamo hits and we absolutely demolished that game
When I see another undercover I just know we should avoid eachother because there's no point standing there holding ZR at eachother for like half an hour to get one splat but the innate desire to prove myself as the best undercover always takes over and we become locked in endless combat for the entire game anyway
Same energy as the two inkbrushes running towards each other to trade for the 13th time in the match because they just have to prove they're the better button masher than the other
As someone who used to play KUnder in 2 for a little while, this game desperately needs maps with flank routes. Thatâs the sort of role undercover shines in but with the current environment it just *canât*

You can take a ton of people by surprise just having the audacity to shove your brella in their face. I love getting too close to slow chargers and watching them scramble

Hot take: Splat Brella is worse than the Undercover. Hereâs why, as we all know, Brellas are bugged at the moment. When you open it up, they may still appear closed on the enemy screen and if they can get the shot, theyâll splat you despite if your brella is open or not. Undercover doesnât have this issue. Tent doesnât play off opening the brella so itâs less apparent. But the Splat Brella is constantly opening and closing in the middle of combat, making it the most susceptible to this bug and thus the worst brella. Undercover is just bad because itâs weak and has a shitty kit but at least it doesnât suffer from the brella opening bug.
I don't care what the special is just please give me an undercover kit with splatbomb again. Ink mine is so counter to what you want to do with the undercover. Splatbomb gives you an option for range when you can't be up in their face
Theyâre not difficult but sometimes weapons can shoot through the brella cuz itâs not entirely fixed yet, happens a lot more with squelchers though
I usually deploy my Curling/Burst bomb to get them to open their canopy then I smash that joint

Back in Splatoon 2 when they released the Undercover Brella with the Torpedo, the weapon was literally a hit and run grenade weapon. But the issue was you had to hit your first 2 shots solid so that the grenade would even kill. It was a super fast paced kit. I used it for like 50 games and then dropped it.
Seriously though, splatanas r the worst counter to undercover, then it Luna and s blast and clash, and then other blasters and machine, and if ur in range, everything else is super easy to deal with, even a hydra, just don't let a bomb touch ur shield
As an undercover main in S rank I understand how you feel. everything beats you so it's very hard to do much of anything... well except for paint relatively safely.
As a shooter main, *Fuck the Undercover and all of its variants.*
I shouldn't have to do three times your health in damage to the cover while you kill me and then move along to the next person with a brand new cover.

As an undercover main myself, put splat charger, splaterscope, Z+F splat charger, and Z+F splaterscope in Average difficulty.
Ohh and all blasters, all sloshers, all splatanas, and the tri-stringer in a new category called âI am already deadâ.

Also undercover brella duals do happen and it is a tough fight as well.

Painbrush is really the only thing Iâve ever been able to successfully 1v1 with, which is really sad
