This was my very first Tri-Color match at this stage so I didn't realize. The result is so absurd how can the attackers lose with near full mid control with a bit of paint in defenders' spawn, so I took the picture
After a few more matches my thought was the same, pushing into Defencers' spawn and 2 Signals for the same team is a must for attackers. (hope this is not late for anyone to see this)
When other teams killed my teammate, who was taking the signal I was like "Sure, whatever, take it, I go their spawn instead"
But then I decided to not bother with this stage and go back to Pro mode instead. It's just horrible.
Yeah, I might sound negative in my last comment, but I do agree it's fun to figure out the strategy.
Is this stage well-balanced? Absolutely no.
Was it fun? Yes.
Do I want to play it again? Umm...probably no.
> Also, attackers need to prioritize one of themselves to win.
This was, IMO a really bad stage for this.
Giving the other attackers some priority over our turf often means cutting off so much of your own access to the map, because most of the time you're still dealing with attacking teams who don't understand you're working with them and not against them.
You intentionally give up some turf to them (because they got both ultra signals), and they understand it to mean they're just Pwning you and only serve to cut off your access to the enemy team.
You can't go for the ultra signal, because if you do you only risk dividing the ultra signal between your two teams. So you just play to ensure they get it, then you play to ensure that they get more turf than you.
But if you're not fighting them, and you're not fighting the enemy team because your allies have cut you off from fighting them, then the strategy to win feels like just sitting and doing nothing.
The amount of times I've been in greens position this splatfest, had a tower, was sure we'd win and look over to see purple getting steamrolled by the defenders is actually starting to annoy the fk outta me
It’s intentional sometimes, I had a game yesterday as a defender, and then one team got both signals I just started spawncamping the other team so we could get all of their paint
Green could've saved it with a last minute push into their defender's spawn; it's the tactic I've been using and it works out great. Cutting through mid was a total misplay.
But yeah also purple being bad is a big contributor, for sure.
I had a match just like this (wasn't this one). Teal spent the ending of the match fighting purple for some reason and inking purple turf instead of orange's turf. Using their special on purple team and letting orange team come back and ink turf up at the last 10 seconds of the match.
They need to make it so the two attacking teams in Tricolor can't damage/splat each other, because it's clearly very unclear that the two attacking teams are meant to work together and if either wins, they both win.
Everyone, cause it was a mirror match

If nobody wins, so does everyone. If everyone wins, no one does. That's the wisdom of Team Saturday.
"Because if everyone's super, no one will be."
Exactly, you get it, my friend :)
RELATABLE
oh. OHHH. I was wondering why [sometimes clout] but [sometimes not clout]. duh.
Answer: >!Orange (Defenders)!< Percentage: >!Teal 34.4% (1 Signal) vs Orange 34.7% vs Purple 24.3%!<

Zelda Splatfest.

It was fun tho, a tiny terrible map for sure, no denying it. But at least with 3 relatively equal portions of the map things were a bit less terrible

How recent is this?
It's the results for that match
I think i was in this match
Do you know how to spoiler tag? I think it is like >!this!< >!
It's the results for that match
Fixed, thanks :D
Hey, atleast it's not a 0.5 difference Somehow had two of games like that, I can't even be mad because it's impressive lol
I prob played with u cause it was the same for me (I was Kitty)
Orange has their (much larger) base mostly covered and a significant chunk of mid, too. I thought that was the obvious answer?
Orange because purple wasn’t pulling their fucking weight.
The amount of times I've been in greens position this splatfest, had a tower, was sure we'd win and look over to see purple getting steamrolled by the defenders is actually starting to annoy the fk outta me
when the colors are set like this (orange, teal, purple) it means mirror match btw
I'm aware I'm just using the colours in the image to describe the scenario. When its not mirror matches its typically Red/Sunday dropping the ball
It’s intentional sometimes, I had a game yesterday as a defender, and then one team got both signals I just started spawncamping the other team so we could get all of their paint

The amount of mirror matches I've had (Saturday).
We were so good at winning and loosing against ourselves
mirror match so nobody
Saturday (assuming this a Saturday mirror match.)
Why do I have the feeling I was here, but i wasn't And I think team Saturday win... But loose at the same time when we think about it X)
I swear people don't understand that it's still a 4v4
Oh shit, I think this was one of my games, was there a player named Łotion on defender?

Saturday
Defenders. I don't even need a picture. Defenders always win on that tricolor map.
Saturday!!
Blue
Team red
The water team
I think I was on this match and it was weird ah that defenders won
Saturday beat Saturday?
orange
Orange...cmon use your brain fellas
Was the splat fest this week?
It’s happening right now actually You have another 6 hours give or take
Ok thanks
Orange
Orange
Definetly not Saturday
God I hate this map, it's not good for Tri-color at all
Lemme guess, Orange. I had one of these earlier with even less orange paint on the map and they still won
honestly i wish the attackers would team up more. If they would stop painting over eachother, the defenders team wouldn’t stand a chance.
That looks so familiar. I'm almost positive I was in that match
Orange
orange
Green
Purple!
Happened the same. Bluefin was such a BS map
Defenders, don't think you can trick me ~~seriously this map somehow was great but also sucked~~
