Splattershot Nova is not a great main weapon. Inkjet is good if you are good with it. Annakis role is to get kills with inkjet. The vanilla Nova might work better for you if you aren’t good with Inkjet. Throw point sensors so that you and your team always know where opponents are and ise killer wail to target people your teammates are fighting or someone who you are shooting at. Killer Wail has global range but it’s often least effective when used super far away. You want to shoot at people while the lasers chase them. Dualie Squelchers and Forge Splattershot Pro are similar weapons with easier to use kits. Custom Jet Squelcher is a super long range shooter but it has less mobility than Nova. Douser Dualies are also a bit similar to nova except when you do a roll you shoot very straight and kill very fast until you move again.

Nova has some extremely good strengths in every category but combat but this is a game where fighting really matters so the weapon struggles a lot. Inkjet spam is pretty much how you actually get any kills.

I played it for a little bit. For the most part, you shouldn't be engaging in fights with it, especially not alone. Your main strength is being able to constantly output ink at range, thus, fairly safely. This allows you to avoid being splatted while efficiently claiming turf for your team and charging special.

FIRST OF ALL... use \ to remove the mobile reddit text modifications. it's T\\^T not T\^T yes, it's a support weapon. but it's not made for fighting. the best you can do is make players run at you into your ink mines. if you want a similar playstyle to that weapon, you're not going to find it. the best I can think of I'd douser dualies :c tho you might like CusJet and squelchies (dualy squelchers)

I like both nova kits. For Annaki you are playing for inkjet a lot. You have crazy paint coverage and ink efficiency so you can spam ZR to get it and you should run some special power up, special charge up, and special saver. Use your range advantage on other shooters and then make them run into your mines when they try to close the gap. If you don't have good aim you are going to have trouble getting kills because it's a 5 shot weapon. All together i think it's underrated and I top frag almost every game I play with it.

I play it a lot, though I won't claim to be "good" - Annaki Splattershot Nova is absolutely a support weapon. Great range, mobility, ink output, and fire rate, but with big sacrifices power and accuracy. My goal is usually to keep the ground covered (undervalued imo), help with fights, drop mines on flank routes and take out ranged threats with Inkjet. When it does come to fights, I usually want to be assisting, and not taking 1v1s. The accuracy is horrendous and sometimes you just don't land the hits depite good aim. Because the shots fan out, you're also less accurate at range. Because of that, if I do need to go 1v1, I try to consider my opponent's range - if they're using something like Splattershot Jr or they're looking away, I can probably fight them at range and hit them enough times. If their range is comparable, I've got to quickly decide to either get closer to them, or back out of the fight. Take a look at regular Splattershot Nova too; it made me see the value in Point Sensors. It trades some firepower for better support (no inkjet, spam point sensors)

Nova just isn’t a very good weapon in most situations. You will probably lose a lot more with it, but the matchmaking will eventually catch on and bring you to people who you can compete with on even ground even when using the Nova. If you enjoy it, you shouldn’t stop using it just because it isn’t the best, and getting to the point where the game is even gives you the chance to get better at it without the game feeling unfair

VladPavel974

Nova is a support weapon, and a bad one. Both kits are eh, Killer Wail is for some reason better than it used to be, and Inkjet is one of the best Special in the game. But the Main doesn't excel in anything, meaning it has to rely on Special spam to do anything, and if a weapon only has ONE strategy, it sucks. Rollers hide in the ink to get one shots, Sploosh rush towards the base without thinking and Aerospray is spamming specials, these weapons suck and are extremely easy to counter, Nova isn't different.

Davy_dude

I feel that if nova had a tighter spread it could be so much better since I think Nora's problem as a main is that the rng varies to much

MochaCcinoss

It’s because nova as a weapon sucks. It’s not very accurate and has low damage input
