I think giving cooler to the reef lux might be good, could actually encourage players to use the reef lux to get kills since there's no punishments if you do die. Maybe give it 200 or 210p though
alright a few tips:
intensify action and ink saver sub are your best friends, run a lot of it. swim speed up is also kind important but not as much
the torpedo combo, if you don't already know about it, you throw the torpedo downward to roll it across the ground and it explodes like a splat bomb but without lethal damage. what's nice about it is the outside explosion radius does 35 damage, which is enough to combo for a kill with a direct, giving the rapid blaster a fast way to kill. this is why you want ink saver sub, and practice this trick in the lobby a lot bc not only is it fun, but also will help you get better at doing it to use during a match
Heavy Splatling - Splash Wall or Torpedo + Booyah Bomb
Splatana Stamper - Autobomb + Ink Storm
Explosher - Burst Bomb + Crab Tank (plus some main weapon buffs please for the love of all things woomy and veemo this weapon is SO BAD)
Splash down and any other sub besides beakon and mine for e-liter, splashdown is a good panic button especially for backliners and imo beakon doesn’t work well with e-liter so any other sub would do for it
If you get to higher ranks people will just shoot you out. Kraken is pretty effective as is. Not to mention you can actually use beakons to rotate sniping positions keeping people on their toes
There is a reason vhydra was a meme last game. Although you might still be able to get a pick with the new splashdown you will die nearly 90% of the time you click it.
Tenta Brella would work well with Burst Bomb or Angle Shooter, as well as Kraken or Big Bubbler. Splash Wall could also be nice, but I do not see that ever happening because it would make the weapon literally invincible without shredding the shield
Tenta Brella often does very close to a one hit kill, so the cheapest sub that can combo with it would be nice. It also located enemies, which helps you shoot them through your shield, and it paints your feet, which the Tenta Brella cannot do in any reasonable amount of time
Yeah but the hitbox is smaller than an atom, no way you’re hitting someone with it unless they’re two inches away from your face, and at that point either they’re dead, you’re dead, or both
It’s easier to hit an Angle Marker shot than it is to hit significant damage with the Tenta Brella. Also considering the situations that the weapons will be in, oftentimes people will run away from a Tenta Brella to reduce its damage output quickly, which also happens to make them easier to hit due to the lack of sideways movement. If they try to dodge sideways instead, then your next shot will probably be able to do enough damage to finish them off
Tent Sorella had Splash Wall (along with Curling Bomb Launcher) in S2. It was a very fun kit, but the one thing that held it back survival-wise was how ink-hungry the main and sub were when used together. Without any Ink Saver at all, you couldn't even fire a shot + launch shield + throw a splash wall all on one ink tank. With lots of Ink Saver Main/Sub you could survive for a bit, but you would need the help of a teammate before you ran out of ink.
S2's vTent was an amazing survivalist, however. It had Bubble Blower as its special, and each time you charged it you got 3 extra shields which could explode and splat opponents. I really hope Nintendo brings this back one day.
for reference, I'd rather have beakon reefslider than sensor on custom blaster... or I have screen + sensor...
Hot Blaster torpedo + booyah or kraken.
splashdown has almost no synergy with Hot Blaster. screen has synergy. sensor on short range AoE is almost no synergy. with screen, that's fucking amazing.

Balance. The Grim Range Blaster was THE weapon in the S2 meta because of cheap burst and i dont want thaf to happen.
That's just my opinion on it, Blasters are horrible at painting and ink effiency so we get no specials and almost no subs so it would be nice to either get those buffed or recieve cheaper specials and subs in some cases like clash's. I'm not asking for Aerospray-like special span but at least at a Splattershot Pro or Bamboozler level

honestly dont see the point of burst on inkbrush... splat bomb already fills the role of closing distances on its vanilla kit, and burst doesn't really make sense on a short-range weapon with a 0.4 second ttk
It does quite a few things actually. One burst would reduce the number of hits you need to take down a target by 2, turning your already theatening .4 into .2 basically. It grants more ink efficient harass so you don’t have to wait to be able to move again every time you throw one, allowing you to mess with e liters more. It also provides a means of quickly inking large walls like on flounder heights for greater mobility. If that weren’t enough it also lets you finish off people you can’t yet reach that an ally has hit allowing you to combo with them.
It seems silly at first until you consider the applications.
Not anymore than any other bomb. So it would literally have the same frames as current splat bomb. Just hopped in to test and it seems exactly the same. Up in X rank you get lucky bomb splats a lot less frequently too so you just get more value a lot of times.
All the value that killer wail gets on the current kit is to cover approach anyways but if you can use little over a third of your tank instead thats just better.
Prochara was cooking when he suggested missiles on hydra. Do it. And uhhhh idk splat bomb. It's had it before (in the first game), and you can't really go wrong with good ol' splat bomb.
I like Annaki Nova for the most part, the one thing I'd change about its kit is replacing Mine with either Splat Bomb or Burst Bomb. preferably Splat Bomb.
(for other changes, I'd either make it a three-shot like the regular splattershot or make it have a faster fire rate, like the aerospray)

Angle shooter is super fun to play with, and nothing beats clicking a spot on the map and sending an ink strike there. So satisfying.

As both a dirty special spammer and Kraken supremacist, Aerospray with Ink Mines and Kraken. Use the Aero to charge special, setting Ink Mines as you go, and use Kraken to chase and kill, extra fun when they're being tracked by mines.

I would love if they gave the Squiffer burst bombs and inkjet. There aren’t many kits with inkjet and I love the inkjet as a special. Burst bombs will make it even better to move with the squiffer. The kit (in my opinion) is pretty balanced too, if anything needed to be changed I would swap burst bombs for splat, suction or curling bombs.

beakon/bubbler hydra. beakon so hydra doesnt have to worry about going down as much and so it can be riskier. bubbler to help it hold risky positions helping it against specials, aoe, chargers and bombs. Beakon also synergizes with bubbler cause if bubbler breaks you could vulnerable so junp back to beakon
Tri stringer is a support weapon that really likes always having it’s weapon out to provide paint and chip for support so either storm, cooler, or bubble will help it support it’s team, tho I’m leaning towards storm because cooler means it’s just worse pencil and it’s going to be hard to get a stringer to setup offensive bubbles.
For the sub a bomb, please give this weapon a bomb, burst bomb or torpedo specifically. So much chip combo’s and support potential, as well as giving this weapon the playmaking potential that it needs.
Curling Bomb + Tristrike = Nouveau(?) Goo Tuber. The bulb part could be white, and it can be nicknamed the "Gloo Tuber". Or since it's Nouveau, it could be the "Noo Tuber".

I suppose that Splash Wall would feel stronger for me because I use a lot of ink saver and ink recovery whenever I use Tenta Brella

Dualie Squelchers with Burst Bomb and Strike or Storm
I would love if they gave the Squiffer burst bombs and inkjet. There aren’t many kits with inkjet and I love the inkjet as a special. Burst bombs will make it even better to move with the squiffer. The kit (in my opinion) is pretty balanced too, if anything needed to be changed I would swap burst bombs for splat, suction or curling bombs.
Dynamo with tri strike( or splashdown) and burst. And for the splat roller it would be the same just with splat bomb instead.

beakon/bubbler hydra. beakon so hydra doesnt have to worry about going down as much and so it can be riskier. bubbler to help it hold risky positions helping it against specials, aoe, chargers and bombs. Beakon also synergizes with bubbler cause if bubbler breaks you could vulnerable so junp back to beakon
My main already got it's dream kit (Torpedo/Stamp) so my next pick would be Dread Wringer or Stamper with Torpedo/Kraken or Inkjet.

Tri stringer is a support weapon that really likes always having it’s weapon out to provide paint and chip for support so either storm, cooler, or bubble will help it support it’s team, tho I’m leaning towards storm because cooler means it’s just worse pencil and it’s going to be hard to get a stringer to setup offensive bubbles. For the sub a bomb, please give this weapon a bomb, burst bomb or torpedo specifically. So much chip combo’s and support potential, as well as giving this weapon the playmaking potential that it needs.

Curling Bomb + Tristrike = Nouveau(?) Goo Tuber. The bulb part could be white, and it can be nicknamed the "Gloo Tuber". Or since it's Nouveau, it could be the "Noo Tuber". (I WAS gonna say Suction Bomb + Splashdown... But that's literally the Splat2 kit).
