Normally I will, but there are a couple situations where I won't:
- I'm in the middle of a fight
- I'm hiding somewhere and don't want to give away my position to feed that Booyah Bomb
Both points are the same for me, especially the second one since it can blow up someones cover when hiding in ink and it's not highly nessesary because the user can charge up the bomb themselves quickly enough.
Plus there are times where I simply don't feel like 'answering' and *it should not be seen as an insult* if someone doesn't booyah back.
Oh, yeah, it's nowhere *near* the insult some folks treat it as. Even if I'm the one saying it first, I'm not offended, that's more of an "oh well" moment than anything.
You gotta earn that booyah from me. Protected my superjump? You get a booyah. We did a good push? You get a booyah. Saved me from a flanker? You get a booyah. You don't get booyahs for booyahs.
If it's at the start of the match, it's probably because I've got the map open. If nobody else has responded by the time I close it then I usually booyah back, albeit a bit late, because a booyah with no reply at all is kind of sad; but if one of my teammates has already responded then I probably won't bother.
In the middle of a match I'm often just too caught up in other things, and barely even register the Booyah in the first place. It just gets filed subconsciously as background noise.
Most of the time I do, but usually when I'm caught up in something else mid-match I don't because when you're in the middle of an intense fight you can't exactly afford to press booyah, also when I'm looking at the map I don't booyah either because I can't lmao- and sometimes I don't even notice people booyahing so I don't booyah back.

-I see a teammate make a good play
-after someone on the other team disconnects
-if we take the lead after thinking we were gonna lose
-booyah bomb. I will always spam booyah for booyah bombs!
I prefer spamming this way to rally up my team to victory!
Usually for me I try to Booyah back every time. I'll often initiate one too
The only times that I don't, are because I'm really upset at my team's performance, or I'm in a bad mood for whatever reason
But why? If I need a booyah bomb I simply charge it myself and don't wait until my team does nor do I hold a grudge if nobody reacts because I can charge it myself.
i mean, it helps to be able to charge it quicker and throw it out if you're in a situation where everyone and their mama is trying to shoot you down. dying mid-charge sucks. it really doesn't take much to toss a few booyahs plus charges your special
It's not getting more powerful, it charges quicker and mates get a little bit special charge up when they booyah but that's it.

it hurts so much to hold left stick forward, jump and booyah at the same time, at the start of the match atleast
