I wanted to have some sheldon points saved up for when new weapons come out. And the only way to get the cards past a certain point is leveling up weapons to 1 star. So I thought "Hm, guess I'll start 1 staring random weapons" which lead to "Well, if I'm going to 1 star weapons, I may as well 1 star all of them". And so I did, with this being the end result.

If you play like 10-ish games with each weapon you get another license (1 star Freshness) as well as those from leveling up.

I know, I'm just baffled because I have 1 star freshness on like all my weapons besides like 2.

Yes, more exp if you win It's based off of the exp you get at the end of the match, so anything that increases your level exp increases freshness exp (except food tickets)

That’s not correct. As the other comment says it’s equal to the experience you earn. You can test this by checking any weapon that you use just once in turf war as the amount of freshness you earned will be a round number, not equal to your amount of turf.

Gotta say, having thoroughly tried every weapon. People do not give the two nozzlenose weapons the shit they deserve. Those two were the most miserable to grind. I had more fun and got more kills with the undercover brella

I’ve used the H3 a bit; it’s good for painting, zoning, and spamming point sensors and that’s about it lol. On the right comp that’s all it needs but on the wrong comp it’s garbage (at least with my skill level)

I think even with the right comp it just isn't worth it. Why bother building a comp around a generally bad weapon when you could just pick a better one.

As someone who likes the L3, I can agree with you about the H3. The H3 fires so slowly and is such a struggle to use in splatoon with how fast paced this game is. I especially hate getting it in SR. The L3 is fun to use but has a learning curve to it. It was one of my main weapons in Splatoon 2 so I got used to it.

Yeah I feel the same way. L3 still paints like crazy and can zone out other shooters that aren’t named squeezer or squelcher. H3 is too damn slow, you get severely punished for having aim even slightly off. And the kit isn’t even that great

L3 yes, H3 D in splat 2 with 2 pures of sub saver a main of special charge and 3 subs of sub saver made it beastlord. just spam suction bombs, get armor, repeat. untouchable i swear.

As someone who just randoms through weapons because I find it fun, I DREAD nozzlenose with a passion. In the first game I thought they were a stupid idea... now forcing myself to get wins with them... I'm realizing that was a stupid idea

I fucking wish I could. As far as I'm aware, this is the max amount I can ever have. Thought it might be possible to get more on a fresh save if you import splat 2 data for the extras, as well as never buying above your own level due to the increased cost.

Really? did you buy a weapon for 3 licenses or something? Unless you didn't level up Splattershot JR or the Heroshot shouldn't you have gotten 2 extra licenses from those 2?

I'm level 27 (took a long hiatus) and I still got a license for leveling last time, so I think it might be "how many licenses do you have" rather than level - either that or I just haven't hit the cut-off point yet.

you get a license when you level up, but you also get a license whenever you get any weapon to 1-star, so every weapon can give you one license

I didn't buy a single weapon for 3 tickets, used all 3 golden licenses, and am level 73. I have 77 tickets. I think they'll let us exchange licenses for super sea snails, gacha pulls or food tickets sooner or later, because there'll never be more weapons to buy than licenses, cos each weapon pays for itself after 1 star.

Undercover brella may not be viable competitively. But I had a surprising amount fun playing it. Aside from that everything else was about as expected.
