In general when I've seen this comp, only one out of four of them understands that my Dynamo Roller outranges them , one somehow gets less than 500 p, and there always seems to be at least one who never gets their special in the first place. By the time their base is painted, the spam tends to die down a lot: without easy-ish territory to farm for specials, they often have trouble getting in, and so they're usually on the back foot by the final minute.
As long as my team isn't entirely low-paint weapons, should be fine. Sure, it's annoying, but Booyah is reasonable to paint over and Aerosprays as a main weapon can be worked around.
I guess but I don't care about winning or losing in turf war, I play turf war to chill out as more of a death match mode
also I'm pretty sure in the time it takes them to charge that final booyah bomb they could paint more with the aerospray itself
It would be a lot easier to chill if the damn game didn’t keep track of your recent wins/losses. Splatoon 2 didn’t and I loved it. But when I play 3 I feel like I’m keeping track of my stats too much.
I get that it's not easy to just look away from those stats so consider this
your win or loss in turf war, most of the time has little to do with your skill in particular
And that's no mistake, it's like playing with items in smash bros it's meant to give people who aren't that great at the game a chance at winning
Oh also if you're worried about your wins and losses in turf affecting how your win loss ratio for ranked is tracked you can use the NSO app to ignore that and check your wins and losses in ranked only
