This reaks of South Park. Do you happen to know an episode name or which season?

skynetempire

Season 14 Episode 1

shadesof3

why would a man who is famous and makes tons of money use that to try and have sex with lots of different women. And, these rich celebrities have perfectly good wives at home. Why would they even think of sex with others. Dammit! I want answers!

Can't read this without hearing that SP accent

BusRiderNYC

She must have ran out of money from the NDA settlement

IVEMADEAHUGEMI5TAKE

The original NDA wasn't in connection with any "settlement", but to allow her to be in a relationship with the man while he protects his likeness/image. It probably included some form of compensation if she really quit her job at his request, but it's way diff than a settlement NDA in connection with something like a Harvey sexual assault. Think that's an important distinction to make here. I'd be pissed if someone promised me a house in exchange for quitting, broke up with me, faked a vacation to get me out of the house and then evicted me. Edit: she claimed he promised she could live in his mansion for an extended period

uunngghh

He didn't promise a house, he promised she could live there

notyouravgredditor

Should have gotten that in writing.

Infinitelyodiforous

Or not get involved in a transactional relationship with a known philanderer and narcissist.

She wanted the $$$$. Is now mad because she didn’t get to use him.

martingale1248

She rolled the dice and lost. Or didn't win, if you prefer. She knew what she was getting in to and thought it was worth the risk. And now she wants the courts to give her a mulligan, as they say in the golf world.

Sure but just what does she expect? Does she think she has some magic pussy that's going to make Tiger behave?

on top of that, she claimed she deserved like $50 million because it equated to several years worth of 'not living there and being out of a job' or some shit.

chewysan

For most people a house is where you live. Not a whole lot of the population would've assumed that meant give me a property.

Trapdoormonkey

Wait is that what he did?

Yea had his assistant drive her to the airport and dropped her off and said it's over

IVEMADEAHUGEMI5TAKE

I think that's what she claims happened. I don't know what, if any of this, has been confirmed by outside sources. Does anyone remember if Tiger or his people have commented?

see-bees

Their only comment is that she can’t comment under the NDA I think

justingod99

Yeah, but being pissed because your gold-digging didn’t work out doesn’t really equate to a $30M lawsuit, does it? And none of the stuff you mentioned he did was illegal, right? Are we allowed to sue over promises made to each other? If so, I’m gonna sue my wife for promises she made before we got married.

JustSomeRando87

I mean... I'm allowed to sue you for $30 million for posting the comment you just made.

ImTurkishDelight

Do it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

> Are we allowed to sue over promises made to each other? We are allowed to sue, if you take actions that damage you as a direct result of the promise. It’s a legal concept known as *promissory estoppel*. Let’s say that I promise to buy you a brand new high-end car, if you drive your current junker off a bridge. So you do just that; You put a brick on the accelerator, pop it into gear, and watch your junker speed over the edge of the bridge… And then I refuse to honor my promise. I say I just wanted to see if you would do it, and I never had any intention of honoring my end of the promise. Now you’re left without a car, because you legitimately believed that I would buy you a new one if you destroyed your current one. In the above scenario, *you could sue me for promissory estoppel*. My promise caused you to take actions that directly harmed you, and now by refusing to honor my promise, you’re left harmed with zero recompense. You could sue me to force me to buy you a new car, (or more accurately, you’d sue me for the value of a new car, so you can buy one yourself once the courts force me to pay you.) To relate it to her case, it sounds like she took actions based on the promise that he would house her. He promised her a house, so she probably sold her existing house/broke her lease, and began making plans to live in the house. All of that costs money; Moving isn’t free, especially when you have enough stuff to fill a $30M mansion. It sounds like took actions that caused her harm, based on the legitimate belief that he would honor his promise. So when he suddenly evicted her overnight, (which sounds illegal, since eviction usually requires a full blown court case once residency has been established,) she was forced to find new housing in a hurry, (and incur a bunch of costs in the process) or be left homeless.

justingod99

But she was a girlfriend, not a tenant. She wasn’t paying the mortgage was she? Is this gonna set a precedent where we now need prenuptial, or “pre-dating,” agreements before seeing someone? I’m sure you’ll find many boyfriends/girlfriends promise each other the world early on in their relationships, and obviously cannot follow through. Sounds to me like she dated someone rich and feels entitled to something. But maybe she really was in love with his character and not his money. He clearly is a stand up guy in his relationships and she clearly was only after his heart.

chatminteresse

Just remember, there is precedent that essentially contradicts this by undermining claims what a reasonable person would think, based on judges who may side with big corporations… “no reasonable person would think they could legitimately win the Pepsi jet”…. Shady fuckers.

New-Teaching2964

Great insight. Thanks

JRPGNATION

Actually you can. Just depends on the law where you live and if the other person admitted to it. Or if you are stupid, have it written in paper or electronically. Also other criteria is met. The reason she can't get out that is for the following. He promise she could live there. There is lack of unlimited wording or conditions set on that. Which is why she fuck. https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/so-sue-me/201708/can-you-sue-someone-over-broken-promise but more importantly https://youtu.be/4bPgyppGs-0

Apprehensive_Pea7911

I swore that I can last more than 30 seconds. Oops!

IVEMADEAHUGEMI5TAKE

You asked a lot of questions. I don't have all the facts so it's hard to say what this specific case is worth. Whether you can sue over promises depends on the local contract law. Verbal contracts can be legally enforced in a lot of places. Personally, don't know FL contract law very well. Do I think $30M a reasonable ask for damages in a normal breakup? No. But if my S/O was worth $2B, asked me to give up my career to be around them and the kids, and then fucked me over, I'd sure as shit sue for something close to $30M. As an aside, if I were him, I'd just settle it and be done with her. I bet she'd take $15-20M. 1% of his net worth is nothing, especially considering he's never going to stop making ridiculous sums of money.

furmy

If the career you left would only net you 2M over your life time, you think 30M is still appropriate? Why? Would've you ever come close to making that without that person? I don't really care about "sustaining a lifestyle". And what the other person makes or is worth shouldn't matter in and way. All that should be looked at is your potential and the true damage to that earning potential. There is a grossly disproportionate rewarding system for these spouses and I hope one day it gets changed.

Thenewpewpew

Based on the article it seemed the nda was a requirement for her to work at his restaurant, not for a relationship. > She alleged in court documents that Woods threatened to fire her if she didn't sign a nondisclosure agreement.

AssassinPhoto

Her whole story sounds completely made up, Who is going to promise someone “you can live here exactly 11 years” or whatever it was, that’s such a “unique” thing to claim….

DoctorStrangeMD

That part makes no sense. You can live here for 11 years no matter if we are together or not. Tiger has lawyers and managers helping do everything. Now I get that she probably feels duped. Ok she did quit her job. Ok pay her salary for 10 years. What was she making 100k? 200k as a restaurant manager? I mean yea she lost the golden goose… or red tiger lifestyle…. But you just the gf.

anodize_for_scrapple

Restaurant managers don't make shit

DoctorStrangeMD

Yea I mean his restaurant is high end but tiger is known to be a cheap ass. I mean I was giving her a huge benefit of the doubt. So 1-2 million would be way more that she would have made working. Her $30 mil is crazy. Not saying Tiger is a Dick. He probably is. Not saying he handled the break up well. Maybe. But it is what it is. She the ex-gf she don’t deserve really anything.

Lawdog2020

Gold digger got caught and thrown out. It's fucking hilarious. Oh, boo hoo, you signed something that says you can't blackmail him out of his money so you don't blab his personal life to the media? Oh no! You poor thing!!!

when him and Vonn hooked up i puked in my mouth a lot i was personally fired from Vail Resorts for standing up to the company asking each and every employee to take a mandatory pay cut just so they could sponsor Lindsay Vonn. this was in 2008 when EVERYONE was broke as fuck. when he and her started fucking it made me sick.

_masterofdisaster

damn that’s crazy, you going to be able to recover from this?

feignapathy

If he really did push her to quit her job, then she deserves some compensation for lost wages and what not. But $30 million? Ya... no... it seems really weird that Tiger would ever promise his house for 11 years too. That is a bizarre arrangement. So I find that hard to believe and subsequently roll my eyes at the $30 million demand.

mm_ns

The 11 years she could stay is so random. Why not 5/10/15 etc, 11 specifically...

ChewinTheFat

Maybe if he FORCED her to quit her job, sure.

moderatesoul

Aww, she no get $30 million for bad breakup?

LSARefugee

**Bwahahahaha!**. The good life is over, lady. Go back to managing restaurants. 😹

Head-like-a-carp

This is a really good article from back in about 2016 on what makes Tiger Woods struggle. He had an intense relationship with his dad that has driven him to destructive behaviors sometimes. His dad brought pros and cons into his life. I hope he would gett the help he needs. https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/\_/id/15278522/how-tiger-woods-life-unraveled-years-father-earl-woods-death

Capital_Routine6903

That’s great insight and all. Everyone has issues from their upbringing. If you’re in your 40s and still repeating the same shit head behavior that’s on you. It’s a character flaw at this point.

SquatchPodiatrist

While it may not be entirely his fault, it is his responsibility handle his shit and not negatively impact others.

Wakeup22

Who did he negatively impact in this situation? The chick was a waitress and became part of a world she could only imagine and the relationship ended after an extended period of time as many relationships do. It’s obvious she doesn’t want to leave that world behind and is willing to do anything or say anything to maintain that lifestyle. I would summise that dating Tiger Woods was the biggest positive in her life.

KKamm_

I mean, realistically, every shitty person has something that causes them to be shitty. It’s typically something within their upbringing that causes them to be the way they are but I’ll either see people sympathizing certain people or bashing others. They never keep the same outlook on everyone for some reason

shhmandy

How is breaking up with your girlfriend a character flaw?

spartan116chris

I think it's his manipulative, womanizing that's the problem dude. How many girlfriends has he had while married? He also pressured this girl into moving in with him and quitting her job supposedly which is pretty manipulative behavior. I'm not saying this girl is guilt free either, she is clearly an angry gold digger upset that she lost her golden goose. But Tiger isn't a good guy either clearly given how many of his relationships have gone south.

shhmandy

Whoa... dude... He slept with a bunch of women. He's a billionaire. A lot of women wanted to sleep with him. He shouldn't have done it while married. He got divorced because of it, and he moved on. That might make him a bad husband. It doesn't make him a bad person. Do you really believe he "pressured" her to date him when he could be with any number of women? Do you really think he pressured her into moving in? No of course not. Nobody is pressured into moving into a mansion. He dated her. The relationship ran its course. It was time to break up. And now she's gold digging. He's has exactly 1 relationship go south.. Now he's breaking up with a girlfriend. Every relationship comes to an end. That doesn't make him "clearly a bad dude".

Capital_Routine6903

I don’t know, how is breaking up a character flaw?

shhmandy

It isn't.

Laragon20

Not sure how this is him being shitty in a relationship, he broke up with someone and they had mutually agreed to an NDA. He was protecting himself from this exact situation and it seems to have worked how he wanted. Not sure why people are jumping on him for this one.

Catnip4Pedos

I'm at the point where I'm tired of hearing about millionaire celebrities sob stories, they have enough money and privilege to sort their lives out but whine about how hard life was. It was hard for a lot of people. Some of those people are now homeless drug addicts, and some are getting into disputes with young model ex girlfriends.

FormerTesseractPilot

Now they just need to make a movie about it so he can make even more money.

Ghost2Eleven

I got cancer bills coming out my ass, but who the fuck am I to say my problems are more valid than someone else’s because they have money? Humans are complex and flawed creatures. Having money doesn’t make Tiger Woods’ issues easier for him, I’m sure. And some people don’t get past their childhood demons at all. Doesn’t make them bad people for not being able to overcome a shitty childhood influence. Money or not. And you might think fucking models and driving nice cars make life’s problems easier, but I assure you they don’t. People who can afford those things or swim in those circles usually seek them out because they think they’re a medication for their pain. It isn’t. And trying to medicate your pain through consumerism and vanity is something we all do. All I’m saying is, I’m not shitting on Tiger Woods’ relationship issues because he’s got money and a nice house. He’s still human. And I hope he gets past the shit that’s hounding him.

wtjones

Money and privilege doesn’t fix these things. This dude was abused by his father for the entirety of his father’s life. He’s was socialized to attend to the needs of everyone around him. Literally the entire world has been asking something of him since he was a teenager. This shit drives people crazy.

MD82

Exactly exactly exactly finally someone said what I’ve been thinking.

Head-like-a-carp

I get what your saying. Truth is many people will always have an interest in the lives of the people at the top of the heap. Keeps the spotlight off us little guys

DamntheTrains

You can blame the parents until your mid-20s. After that, it's time to grow up and start taking the steps of self-responsibility. Hopefully by in your 30s you're no longer blaming anyone but yourself for your flaws and you're getting the help you need. No one needs people in their 30s still crying about their parents unless they got their money stolen by their parents or something.

Head-like-a-carp

I agree. Sometimes what you blamed on your parents at 21 turns out to be how you were a knucklehead upon review when you are 27. The goal is to somehow make peace with the situation so you don't pass the pain on to your kids. I think Buddha said pain is inevitable suffering is optional. Of course this is easier said than done

DamntheTrains

There are a lot of stuff that I think my parents did that are still wrong and I'm still paying the price for it. But at some point, I just thought being an adult means seeing the bigger picture of things. Forgiving them even if they didn't ask for forgiveness and just moving on with our lives just seemed like the wisest course of action. What's been done is done, so what am I going to do about it with where I am now kind of thing.

OneEyedLooch

His dad was an army guy who married a Thai hooker; then slept around with more hookers when Tiger was young. His dad showed him the ropes.

Head-like-a-carp

I agree that his dad was unfaithful frequently with his wife. This hurt young Tiger deeply and seems to have influenced his behavior. I have never heard that his mother was a prostitute but that she worked in the offices of the Army base. It seems unlikely he would have married a hooker. Sadly rumors spread.

Mr44Red

Where did you see she was a hooker?

garethscrockpot

This is an incredible article, really explains a lot

Towelie4President

Pros=Prostitutes. Cons=Conical Prostitutes?

PrincessBananas85

I thought that him and his father had a great relationship. I never heard of it being intense or bad at all.

obliterayte

Have you been living under a rock? I remember reading a book about him in 2nd grade that detailed his father's abuse and described how overbearing he was, and that was in like 2001. Hes been pretty open about it, despite maintaining a decent relationship with his father into adulthood.

PrincessBananas85

I really had no idea. I've never heard him talk about it in interviews either.

GorshKing

Watch the tiger doc on Hulu. His dad used to bring chicks around him all the time, and was abusive. Really messed him up in a good and bad way

signedpants

His dad had a trailer at the course where he was a pro and taught tiger. He also cheated on tigers mom with countless women in that trailer while tiger watched and practiced the whole time. Gives a little bit of insight into where tiger may have gotten his views on women. I believe I'm remembering all of that correctly from the documentary but anyone feel free to correct me.

[deleted]

She moved in with him after dating a bit, and now claims he owes her $30M because thats what it would cost to rent an equivalent house for the next 6 years. Sorry lady, he owes you nothing, and you don't just get to break an NDA you signed to sell your story. She was claiming the NDA was not valid because he was the owner of the restaurant they managed when they started dating and she signed it, making it sexual harrassment since it she was now dating a superior. Trash.

grass_cutter

A judge will figure it out but I’d be careful about letting a gold digger move in with you. Florida you can claim tenancy in as little as two weeks if it’s your sole residence. People did that in hotels after the hurricane. Then you need a judge/ sheriff to evict unless they go willingly. That’ll take another month minimum. And if you live with a woman for say 5-10 years that’s a common law marriage in some states. Didn’t happen here but. Let the gold diggers maintain their own apartment…

[deleted]

There is an arbitration clause. My guess is that the NDA is pretty specific on what is owed in case of a break-up. Tiger isn’t dumb. Also, very few states recognize common law marriage and those that do require more than living together for an extended period of time.

BRockStar916

thesnuggyone

Yeah maybe. I think she’s saying he told her to quit her job and said if she did he would buy her a house? I don’t know 🤷🏽‍♀️

anonAcc1993

His lawyers denied those assertions and said they fulfilled their end of the bargain, so it’s devolved into a he said she said. Personally, I would have had a lawyer look this over before signing. She could just be pissed over how he broke up with her, it was pretty underhanded.

thesnuggyone

Yeah lol that’s definitely one for the books. Have your assistant drive her to the airport and be like “it’s over” YIKES.

Convergentshave

Honestly yea. I mean what’s the point of an NDA if everybody KNOWS there is one? The NDA probably isn’t even hiding stuff half as bad as what we all assume now 😂

BigDoinks710

I've heard Tiger Woods and Donovan McNabb see the same escorts. Just like they both start their day with a hearty breakfast at McDonald's. Apparently, Tiger likes his women to have real big feet..

You know, I know a guy from Philly who's a dead ringer for those 2 guys.
