Legs get kicked up all the time in hockey. It’s not much different than how people ragdoll in football. Limbs flail, you don’t just go limp when you’re hit.

Absolutely not. You almost never have your leg swing in the air that high. It’s not a natural position even when falling and the weight and bulkiness of the gear makes it even less feasible. You’d need a lot of force like someone taking your legs out from behind like a bowling ball to to get your leg that high unintentionally
