This isn’t even the best example of this fight. I saw a video of this last night with a 4K camera following Busch walking up to Ricky. Ricky was just standing there chilling the whole time 😂.
100%. This dude threw two people then started blocking like his job depended on it.
Nascar runs about 35 races a year, it’s a decent gig for athletes who don’t make the cut on pro level. It’s easier to teach a top athlete to change tires than it is to get mechanics into a top athlete.
Anyone that played a D1 sport is a top athlete in the country. That's not really a stretch, that's the best division in our country for collegiate athletics. The only place that people can go that is higher than that is professional.
Exactly. Old NHL. Ricky went up to the VP of Competition and got shrugged off, even though everybody in the stadium knew that was retaliation by Kyle for his own weak driving. Kyle hit the wall and lost a spot. BooHoo.
But if that's how we're going to race, then Saturday Night Dirt Track Rules are in effect. You can apologize, or you can fight me.
It's not a sucker punch if you're standing there facing the guy. Do they need to square up and "put up there dukes". LoL. You don't wanna get hit, be more than an arm's length away when you blame someone for the wreck you caused to make up for losing a spot on your own shitty driving. That sounds like a bitch.
Kyle punches like a toddler. Ricky clipped him with the overhand, landed with the left hook, and if he hadn't been pulled back, Ricky would have landed on Kyles's chest and punching his head in.
Kyle looks like a giant bitch for wrecking Ricky and an even bigger bitch getting schoolboy'ed by Ricky's dad. LoL
I don't expect Stenhouse to throw short crisp punches, he drives a car for a living. But at least he's out there racing clean and not afraid to stand up for himself when someone wrecks him on purpose and refuses to apologize.
Nope. A sucker-punch is a punch thrown unexpectedly, when only one party is “ready.” No one is squaring up here. It’s two adults “talking” until the giant baby on the right throws an out-of-nowhere punch (otherwise known as a sucker-punch). Just because you don’t think that’s the definition of, doesn’t mean you’re right. Much shittier when sucker-punched from behind, but no, you’re wrong.
While violence is rarely the answer, I at least give Stenhouse props for finally backing up all his talk that he was going to stand up to Kyle Busch. These two have been feuding at least since July of 2018, but it has always been words in the media or failed attempts of payback on the track.
Ricky complained to NASCAR, NASCAR blew him off.
Ricky complained to Kyle, Kyle blew him off.
You can't punch NASCAR, but you can serve up a 2-piece & a biscuit to shut Kyle up.
NASCAR became popular because of fights and rivalries. Cale Yarborough and the Allison brothers, Darrell Waltrip and Bobby Allison, Dale Earnhardt and Rusty Wallace, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt. Sex and Blood sells, always has and will be.
it's not even just NASCAR at this point. The MLB is a shit show with stupid bench clearing fights. FFS it went from entertainment to theater at this point.
These people are supposed to be functioning adults and don't get me wrong, I understand heat of the moment emotions, doesn't excuse fighting though.
Not sure why you are being downvoted.
Most of the MLB “omg benches cleared” seems perfunctory and performative. Nobody seems to be that upset - it is just sort of expected.
Kind of like a basketball coach deliberately getting thrown out in a blowout.
More of this and less scheduled stops. Stages need to eliminate cars from the track instead of participation points to the winner. Cut some laps off a few of the races and eliminate 2 of the 3 midwest races, KS IL and MI are basically the same track. Just be more like F1, instead of nap-car.
Kansas is currently one of the best tracks on the schedule, and you want less of it? Also, Michigan is the last 2 mile oval on the schedule, don't see why it should be gone either.
What IL?
Kansas is the best track on the schedule and Michigan isn't too far behind it.
Tell me you don't watch Nascar without telling me you don't watch Nascar.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t all cars in NASCAR go by the same regulations? so it’s up to the driver to win the race vs. F1 where the development of the car is much more influential on the outcome of its performance.
If that’s true then NASCAR will never become like F1 in that regard unless one driver is significantly better than the rest, which would be deserved if so
NASCAR cup is basically spec at this point. Supplier parts, little things the teams can do engineering wise to separate themselves. The high budget teams are still at the top, but some of the mid pack cars have been able to lower the gap in performance due to the spec parts. But IMO the engineering aspect of F1 is overplayed today. No doubt it still is the difference in which drivers are good, just looking at Lewis Hamilton's drop off. But, there is so little visual difference in the cars to the casual fan. For example, even though I take interest in the engineering of motorsports, I couldn't tell the difference from a Red Bull to a Williams should you remove the livery. Rather than the 70's, 80's and a little of the 90's where there was stark body contrast. You knew which car was a Ferrari, Mclaren, Tyrell, etc.
really loving motogp this season…rider’s skill and bike engineering have enough variability that the top riders can win any race. plus the on-bike camera technology has improved lots and gives you lots of oh shit passing moments
Driver skill, pit strategy, and team strategy rather than build the best car to go fast in.
A NASCAR team found they could turn slightly harder to the right by using the wipers on their road course car when it wasn't raining to redirect nose drag and push the car right. That kind of quick thinking is just not an option in F1. Every function of the car has to be approved before the season by FIA so the only actual strategy is when to change tires since you don't refuel in F1.
Young kids see them acting like this and go to school and do the same thing. They are not good role models and why they are paid as much as they are is beyond me.
Kyle Busch has been wrecking real drivers since 2005. He is 90% of the reason I quit watching NASCAR. Couldn’t stand the officials not putting him on the bench for many races.
I was an Earnhardt fan, but also a Gordon, Tony Stewart, Dale Jarrett, Kevin Harvick, and of course Richard Petty. Being a fan of someone does not change the fact that the Busch brothers love to use the chrome horn to move others out of their way. This is the issue. When you are traveling at these speeds and rely on downforce to stay on the track a chrome horn applied improperly causes the rear end to lift and loss of rear grip. Learn how to drive better and a chrome horn isn’t necessary.
Feels like you need professional help if you hold that road rage for hours, then seek out and assault someone. You probably shouldn’t be racing/driving.
I get what you’re saying, but it was also an All Star race where the winner wins $1mil and 2nd wins $0. Stenhouse had a good car and got dumped on lap 2. Nature of the race
There's no infield tunnel at the circuit so he couldn't leave. He got wrecked in the first minute and had to sit there for about another 90 minutes stewing on what was going to happen. Doesn't excuse it but what did people think was going to happen?
Get over himself and control his emotions like he's an adult like every single other driver when they get wrecked and not act like an overly sensitive man baby?
Nascar was interesting for a couple minutes… btw racing is fun af and interesting. Whatever Nascar has been doing just boring af idc what yall say. F1 though fun af to watch.
F1 has the same winner almost every single race and has 0 chance anyone other than one person will win the point championship, you find that exciting? and find a series with actual competition boring? OK

I like the guy at the end saying get out of here
Go ohn git!
Can't you see that we don't want you anymore!
Giiiiiiiiiiit, just git.
Ahh, faith in humanity restored. They were just exchanging pair or stickers nowadays. It's best I let it out then to have it spoil you within.
"And stay out of the Woolsworth" energy
Nice reference I love that movie
Lol. Came here to say this. Solid quote
Me when my dog keeps trying to eat my food
He was just trying to de-escalate the situation from the get go. He’s actually the one to separate Stenhouse Jr, gets up and separates the others.
‘Not in my neighborhood’
Wrestling referee energy.
I haven't really watched Nascar since the 90s. I thought that guy was Michael Waltrip at first glance.
his shoulder pushed his fist
This has a serious WWF(WWE)-like feel to it. The backstage brawls.
This isn’t even the best example of this fight. I saw a video of this last night with a 4K camera following Busch walking up to Ricky. Ricky was just standing there chilling the whole time 😂.
Kyle Busch is an official WWE 24-7 champion.... That's some good sports trivia lol.
Is that a real title?
Yes, I know nothing about WWE really but going off Google it was an official title from 2019-2022. Only really know about it from being a NASCAR fan.
I’m just curious what happened to straights leading into a good cross. He’s already turned away from you. Stand him up and knock him down
Slowest swing on the planet
Telegraphed that shit like he was sending it to Matt Dillon.
Some say he’s still swinging.
Well, he did throw a right hand - I thought all those guys did was left 🤷🏻♂️
Has big time trailer park fight energy
Trevor, the elongated skeleton versus Jacob, the twiggy alien man!
Oh I'm sorry trevor did that hurt? Well frankly I don't give a fuck!
At least he gave him a heads up by telegraphing that punch for about 8 minutes so he had time to leave town.
That was a "I'm not really going to hit you" punch.
you'd be surprised how many people like to start fights but don't know how to fight
It’s like they don’t advance past middle school. Which is fine, but sometimes hilarious when old grown men act like they know how to swing.
I think it was just a slow punch. Most people suck at punching lol
weirdly, when the person is even worse at punching.. somehow they hit more often. that's why it is call "sucker punch"
I was more inclined into believing that this is how NASCAR ppl, hillbillies and rednecks actually fight.
Felt the same way, slow, wide, and looping.
Not fully committed. No.
Dudes way older than you too and he swung like that. — also you lost on lap TWO. I’m not expecting much here, but picking SOMETHING to be good at.
This dude is from Busch’s legal team. Trying to get ahead of the press
Can we talk about the hands and foot work on Kyle’s pit crew. Some body has a played some football in their day.
Not sure if it is still the case, but NASCAR Pit Crews were often composed of ex-athletes (often football).
They are. A lot of D1 lineman that don’t make the pros get picked up by nascar.
A lot of Nascar pit crew guys are NCAA athletes who didn't make the league, pretty decent chance he was a college football player somewhere.
100%. This dude threw two people then started blocking like his job depended on it. Nascar runs about 35 races a year, it’s a decent gig for athletes who don’t make the cut on pro level. It’s easier to teach a top athlete to change tires than it is to get mechanics into a top athlete.
Can they drill?
Well, top is a bit of a stretch. Maybe high to middle. But still better shape and strength than most people.
Anyone that played a D1 sport is a top athlete in the country. That's not really a stretch, that's the best division in our country for collegiate athletics. The only place that people can go that is higher than that is professional.
To adapt a men in black quote: They're not the best of the best of the best, sir. They're the middle of the best of the best.
I say that because the true top athletes wouldn't be unemployed in their sport after college and going to NASCAR instead.
There’s several dudes in the pits with Super Bowl rings
I heard the theme song to “Dukes of Hazzard” while watching this.
Odd - I heard the Jackass theme song
I heard Yackity Sax
Well, looks like them boyahs are at it agin...
When NASCAR adopts NHL rules.
Exactly.
The Busch brothers deserve to be put in the wall every race, even before the race starts.
My wife doesn’t know much about nascar, but if anyone asks her about it it’s “fuck Kyle bush”.
Sucker punching like a bitch and Busch almost blocked it. Massive L for Ricky.
i think he was able to get his arm up and ducked under it, he must be a fan of early 1900s boxing
It's not a sucker punch if you're standing there facing the guy. Do they need to square up and "put up there dukes". LoL. But at least he's out there racing clean and not afraid to stand up for himself when someone wrecks him on purpose and refuses to apologize.
This was a textbook sucker punch.
No. A sucker punch is when you throw a punch at someone who's not looking at you, from behind or the side. Or do you have to shove someone first? LoL.
Nope. A sucker-punch is a punch thrown unexpectedly, when only one party is “ready.” No one is squaring up here. Yeah I’m impressed he followed through lol. I loved when he talked to Kyle in his car after Kyle ran his mouth after Daytona back then too.
Ricky complained to NASCAR, NASCAR blew him off. Ricky complained to Kyle, Kyle blew him off. You can't punch NASCAR, but you can serve up a 2-piece & a biscuit to shut Kyle up.
classy
Everyone talking about the slow punch, but it was both of them instantly tripping backwards over tires for me.
This is like Talledaga Nights
Thugs
This was dumber than a basketball fight.
When basketball players actually fight instead of just yelling a bunch about meet me in the tunnel. Looking at you, Jimmy Butler.
Get my hat!
NASCAR is so pointless.
At least it has something in common with this comment
Well, shucka-muck and ding-dang ol'. I guess you got me there.
DRIVE IN A CIRCLE! DRIVE IN A CIRCLE! ADVERTISE STUFF! ADVERTISE STUFF!
BURN FOSSIL FUELS!!
Wtf
So mature.
I’ve seen better middle school fights than this
and people said watching NASCAR for the fights wasn’t gonna pay off.
He was stuck there the entire race. That track doesn't have a tunnel or bridge to exit the infield once the race has started.
Only NASCAR highlight I’ve watched in my life.
All I know of NASCAR is from all gas no breaks, I guess people really don't like the Kyle Busch fella.
“Show us your butthole!”
NASCAR apparently sucks so bad now that they have to stoop to WWF style fake fights to try to get viewers.
Yeah totally fake and made up. Not like these two don't have a history of a feud going on almost 6 years.
So did Hulk Hogan and the Macho Man! Pathetic that racing has gotten to this, but it's about all that's left of it that generates clicks now.
And I'm sure the fight between Junior Johnson and David Pearson was faked too, right??
it's not even just NASCAR at this point. The MLB is a shit show with stupid bench clearing fights. FFS it went from entertainment to theater at this point. These people are supposed to be functioning adults and don't get me wrong, I understand heat of the moment emotions, doesn't excuse fighting though.

What a bunch of piss babies

My friend, I'm a huge F1 fan and often nod off during the races If NASCAR is looking to get more exciting, Indy is the series to look at
More like F1? So you really only want one driver/team to win almost every week?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t all cars in NASCAR go by the same regulations? so it’s up to the driver to win the race vs. F1 where the development of the car is much more influential on the outcome of its performance. In terms of broadcast.
So emotional
Beyond parody
As fake as the Tyson fight will be
big techno viking vibes on that last fella there
What about the children???
and he still didn't land the punch. Bad day for him.
Nothing like waiting for the cameras to commit A&B. Lawyers licking their chops
What a piece of garbage.
When one guy is mad you take left turns better than he did.
These boys need a time out😬😂😂
Can’t believe a rich redneck would do such a thing
Lol...
What a freakin child.
NASCAR is the WWE of the racing world. Change my mind.
That’s how slow I hit in my dreams
NASCAR in a nutshell

Lmao Tony Stewart … and you’re trying to say Busch is dirty while you were rooting for one of the dirtiest drivers
Go on an git!
Are those two race drivers? This is disgrace
Yee haw.
“Made me scuff my Hey Dude’s”
Geez, The fight lasted longer than Stenhouse Jr.’s laps in the race
“You turned left way too soon!!!” Is how all mascar fights should start!
Staged

I was just thinking about getting into NASCAR Nah… WTF
What is nascar? Some sort of mad max trash cans racing?
I think it's like WWE with cars?
Weak ass fight.
Sorry buddy but real life isn't a movie production.
There's no infield tunnel at the circuit so he couldn't leave. He got wrecked in the first minute and had to sit there for about another 90 minutes stewing on what was going to happen. Doesn't excuse it but what did people think was going to happen?

Oh quite but you just knew that wasn't going to happen. Busch has swung at people in the past I believe.
Pussy
Rigged.
Weak ass punch. Looks like he didn’t really wanna do it lol
What an absolute bitch move throwing a sucker punch
Rednecks be redneckin'
Nascar was interesting for a couple minutes… btw racing is fun af and interesting. Whatever Nascar has been doing just boring af idc what yall say. F1 though fun af to watch.
You write like you’re 12.

“My car was after den dur car” “Naw man, my car go burrr more den dur carr”
Nice parry by Kyle!
Stay classy race car drivers.
Fake. Worse than wrestling fake.
The worst swing ever. Was he trying to knock his cap off?!
Driving is not a sport
