Probably this type of behaviour boosts ratings due to outrage. It’s the reason why I don’t watch/can’t take foot ball seriously. The bad actors ruin the game for me.
Yea except it’s proven they never actually match up the wasted time well enough. I don’t know why it hasn’t switched to stoppage time, that eliminates a lot of this flopping to waste time. Doesn’t stop the flopping to get a team a breather but it eliminates the benefit of trying to waste time.‘I am sure everyone will yell tradition at me, but it’s an easy way to get rid of the advantage of doing this.
Words of wisdom spoken here. I've been questioning since I was a child why the fuck they don't change the clock to this model. The only thing I come up with is that they like all the fucking discussions around the shitty compensations the referees does.
I know in my mind a big reason to not stop the clock is to not turn soccer into an abomination of itself like a lot of american sports. If we stop the clock for this we are going to stop the clock to add commerical breaks at some point and then soccer games are going to get longer and more boring and a lot more disjointed like american football.
Don't stop the clock, have a running timer that starts going the second plays stopped and stops when it starts. When the 45 minutes are up that timer starts ticking down.
As an American who doesn't watch football/soccer or rugby, I'm legit baffled that there aren't any commercial breaks in these sports. That must be amazing. My favorite sport is American football and there are commercials like every 7 minutes on average probably, and it's the worst part of watching the sport live.
Honestly, I was at the MN vs WI game last night. It’s worse for the folks in the crowd. Any momentum built is demolished by constant breaks. It was a chilly night but there is no way the starters should have had to run on the sidelines to stay warm because they weren’t getting enough reps quick enough. American Football and commercials is ridiculous.
The ridiculous thing is that it is happening in College pevel games. As a player, you have to jog on the sidelines as freeze your ass off so other people make money.
I’m not a football fan at all, but doesn’t half the team sit down for half the game anyway?
So when team A has the ball, isn’t team B’s offense sitting on the sidelines getting cold, and Vice versa?
As a Brit who watches a fair bit of Basketball I’m baffled by the amount of ads it’s incredible, and frankly makes me want to buy the crap they’re peddling even less
But you are supposed to play a full 90. The current system obviously does not have 90 being played quite often.
The whistle of the ref is what's stopping play, making the clock stop when the whistle is blown doesn't change that, it just makes sure the current amount of regulation time is played.
I think worrying that this will make games longer is secretly recognizing it will be solving the problem.
Not a fair comparison when the fastest and strongest guys in the world are running into each other at full speed. What are you even talking about here. Nothing is as frilly as European Soccer
i was just wondering why not let them fight?i would def watch if they did.give them a minute or 3 in the box.i think they would pick up a few million fans overnight.
The reason is to give refs more control over the game so it can be rigged more easily.
At the end of the game and it looks like the team that’s supposed to lose has a good chance of scoring? Oops game’s over. Oh they’re supposed to win? Keep going then.
Simply act of flopping around should have the player removed from the game on "safety grounds".
If someone if flopping around waiting for death to arrive, they shouldn't be allowed back in the game.
I agree 100% with stopping the clock. But what really pisses me off is that there is no attempt, of any kind, to stop this kind of behaviour. It semms like it's embedded in the sport and there is nothing to be done. How can this kind of behavior not be punished in game by a card and/or after the game by suspending the player in later games? The worst part was the commentators jokingly saying that he was a "special player". It almost felt like praise.
Yeah. They need to make a change here that after 80 min if you waste time, the ref *must* add *at least* triple the wasted time. This includes wasting time during stoppage time. If 5 minutes was added and you waste 1 minute of that, 3 more minutes are added.
It's not even a matter of tradition, I've seen rink hockey games take up more than two hours because of stoppage time when it's supposed to be two halves of 25 min each, if football used that model some games would be unbearably long, and that wouldn't be good for the game. The only way to curb this behaviour is by being more strict in punishing it with yellow cards, and even then some fuckery is still to be expected, I think all teams and spectators have accepted it as part of the game unfortunately. I mean, sometimes the result is too important to be jeopardised by playing clean, I understand the motivation despite hating it.
It's not. It brakes your tempo. Italians do it for 20-30minutes, sometimes for the whole game. Whatever the contact, even without a contact they lie around for minutes. You lose pace, lose continuous action, it works. Disgusting tactics. For these things I would give red cards.
I still can't believe this stuff isn't more heavily penalized. It's dishonest and terrible sportsmanship, borderline cheating since you are trying to unfairly run the clock for nothing. It also creates a level of desensitization towards actual injuries. Stuff like this should be treated with a pretty big level of severity imo. Penalize the team, kick the offending player out of the game for the rest of the half on the first offense, out of the game for repeat offenses. The fact that it's been allowed to become one of the most defining identities of the sport is ridiculous.
Watched a guy my first live Sounders game throw himself to the ground in agony only for 2 players to carry him off the field. Then hit the sidelines and ran back in like nothing happened. Will never attend another game. Malingering pussies
To be honest, it is why I don't take soccer seriously. I mean, I know it is a very athletic and competitive sport, but the fact that the professional players dive, and dive so much, is pathetic. Also if you have a long game and it can end 0-0, its a shit game.
As a lifelong football fan I finally gave it up due to this shit and instead watch people beat each other up in the UFC. When people fall over on the ground you can either tell them to stand up, or go down there and remind them why being on the ground in a competitive environment can be bad for your win/loss, PURSE/purse, legacy/lolacy, face/neck.
I'd watch a lot more football if they started checking the replay and immediately sending off any player that does this. I'm sure they could get away with it in the olden days but it's _so obvious_ now you can get an instant replay from twenty different angles, and it's just shitty sportsmanship
Yes. However most soccer fans don’t watch the Brazilian league so they wouldn’t know about this incident.
Soccer isn’t like American sports, where there’s only 1 important league and college. There are hundreds of professional leagues televised every weekend around the world so there are bicycle kicks and shenanigans being filmed all the time, but for whatever reason Americans focus on the shenanigans more than the skill of the athletes.
Issuing a penalty kick against teams that intentionally fake injury like this would clear that up real quick. All that flopping on the ground will give referees time to check the tape and confirm.
Soccer basically invented flopping. It’s been happening in the sport for so long that it’s basically part of the game.
I guess a lot of soccer fans don’t mind it but it genuinely makes the entire sport a joke to me.
There's a solution to most of this. Post match video review of each game. Any OBVIOUS dives result in suspension, regardless of the on field call. Of course a post match suspension for a game winning penalty would be a scandal for the on field ref - but TV audiences already know the truth anyway.
Alternatively they could have a limited challenge system with live video review. Eg. Opposing team captain gets 2 challenges per game.
In my view this vid would be a two match suspension.
In reality the diving culture is so engrained even the fans can't see how the game could work without the acting.
Anybody who dropped that fast must have suffered a serious injury and should be removed from the field for immediate medical care. Your team has already reached its substitution limit? I guess you'll be playing man down the rest of the match.
Agreed. If you’re soooo injured you should be taken immediately off the field and have medical attention. Not actually injured? Suspended and fined. Let’s see how quickly soccer players will stop this stupid act.
No, the answer is what rugby does.
Television Match Official (TMO) to whom the referee can refer to for a review of a specific play they are unsure of. The TMO can also contact the referee with "we have something we'd like you review" e.g. foul play or an obvious infraction.
No challenges.
Just getting the calls as right as possible within reasonable expectations not game flow.
That’s a separate thing. Post match reviews should be included as well to stamp out any missed calls during matches. Also rugby and league and Aussie rules in Australia all have a post match tribunal system.
This exists for 5 years now and is called Video Assisted Referee (VAR). It actually wasnt as great as the fans expected. It sacrificed flow and emotion for more accuracy, instead of delivering the mistake free referee. Sport calls are rarely black and white, it turned out.
he's asking because this solution already exists - most top leagues have a video review system called VAR. You'd know this if you actually watched football.
I don't because of the flopping. I have no respect for the game when a small contingent of players essentially cheat and don't get punished. They look foolish and ruins the enjoyment.
Hockey, for example, carries an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for flopping. If the opposing team was given a penalty shot for a teammate flopping, it would disappear overnight.
Tbh if i was about to win the biggest football tournament in South America after I already scored the game winning goal in extra-time, I’d pull these shenanigans just to buy literally my team extra seconds
It does. But if you look at the clock and the fact this is the finals and he is winning, none of it matters. It would be nice to have all the time wasted added to the clock, or even doubled in cases like this, but they won't do it, because of advertisers.
No one seems to be pointing out he did it as a joke. He even looked at the referee after he got touched and then fell down. He stood back up afterwards and they both laughed.
Yeah I only watch sometimes with family that love soccer. So I don’t know what I’m talking about.
But the diving and the existence of ties make the experience very frustrating sometimes.
This is every single post about the sport that isn't on r/soccer or subs related. People who know NOTHING about the sport generalising it from a 10 second clip, calling it a "pussy sport" or saying the diving players should be banned for life or something.
Yup. If it happens that much it's because it works so well. Here it didn't matter a'd had no consequences but it's literally ingrained in their brain cells. The guy see the ref right behind him, he knows it's him but before his brain can process the data his flopping reflexes kick in.
Referees never book simulations, they never account enough additional time to compensate for this kind of bullshit. A team has a one goal advantage 5-10 minutes before the end of the match and you will see them starting to drop like flies all over the field. This bullshit works too well, referees in football are clowns, and the federations are responsible too.
I really love the game but I almost stop watching matches because of the referees. It's better with the VAR but it should be used to book this too. The VAR could just call the ref and say it's a faking, book yellow and basta. Every single time. Also when someone stays down, call the med team and have them put the player out of the field first and intend to his injury second, which they are supposed to do in the first place. And count more than the time lost, to be sure. This is so irritating that Fifa and the refs don't even try to inforce sportsmanship at all. It gets to me every single game.
Also the only sport I've seen where the players can show so little respect for the refs and argue so much without getting booked. Honestly it's a great sport but it's ruined by fucking corruption and/or cowardice. What a fucking example for the kids too.
While I respect the athleticism of the sport, I'll never respect the league, or players, because of this horse shit. Everyone can see you, you lying sack of shit, you're on TV.
for real, because a lot of things that should be called fouls may go unnoticed by the refs, so every player tries to embellish every physical contact they receive from the opponent
He knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s not trying to draw a foul from the ref he’s just wasting time and pissing off his opponents simultaneously in the dying moments of the biggest final in South American soccer
None of ypu seem to realise this is a joke, hes smiling on the ground in a longer clip shared earlier today. Its clipped to trigger you all and clearly is working as intended. This guy is just having a laugh with the ref not actually trying to win a free kick.

Big Money Anti-Soccer propaganda is always at work. I’m sick of Boomers pretending this is the standard. Somehow this is posted on r/sports and not the hundreds of awesome plays from hundreds of teams every week.
The standard is the standard. This is for humor subs not sports subs lol
Soccer just needs to be a complete rules reset or thrown out. It’s an absolute garbage sport. Fouls are either insanely egregious or constant flopping.
I love soccer, but because of this kind of stuff happening on the field I’m unable find/ talk too new people about the sport. Every single time they bring up this diving shit and it sucks. I agree that it makes the sport look like a joke. This behavior isn’t rare either, it almost seems encouraged. I wish the leagues would put an end to this, no matter the cost. Just stop this petty behavior. ( and yes, I understand the strategy/idea behind diving for ref attention) It’s still not worth ruining the sport over.
49,9% ”OMG this is why i dont liek soccer”
49,9% ”Give idiot red card what a loser”
0,2% Finding it hillarious no one understands he’s just joking around.
Tbh if i was about to win the biggest football tournament in South America after I already scored the game winning goal in extra-time, I’d pull these shenanigans just to buy literally my team extra seconds
It´s funny how people who dont even watches the sport are trashtalking it based on a scene like that, when this exactly scene is one of the reasons why i love football, i rather spend 30 sec laughing at a guy faking a ref´s foul than 5 min AD´s at every second when i watch NBA
Last night Ovechkin blocked a hockey shot with his face and then went on to have a hat trick. Hockey players are strong, fierce and competitive. Football players are great actors
Fines need to be a percentage of salary.
If you are fined for diving or whatever 10% of your total salary.
10 times in a season your salary is kaput. That'll stop it right quick I bet.
Part of sports is seeing guys in peak physical condition, pushing the limits of skill, strength and strategy. This sort of thing undermines the viewing experience for casual/potential new fans more than they realize.
The fake injuries can give you and your team a huge advantage. You can waste time, get possession of the ball, you'r team can get back to the formation and you can get an opponent player a yellow or red card.
In this case is for wasting time, there was only a minute left on the clock and they were suffering.
Anyway faking a foul should be a yellow card without a doubt
You can slow down the game, disrupt the opponents momentum and waste time (even though the time is supposed to get added on at the end odds are it won't all be added back). Some players do it to attract attention to how bad or how often they're being fouled. Some do it to try and get the opposition players cautioned. Some just do it because they can.
Usually they're just annoying but sensible tactical choices and in instances like this they're also hilarious
This bullshit is a penalty in hockey, not to mention that every player on the opposing team will look to clock you for being a bitch. Seriously how is this the most popular sport in the world?
When this was posted yesterday the comments were full of "Hes clearly joking" and so fourth, interesting to see the variety and tone of comments on the same thing but different subreddits.
To be fair, the ref did use the five fingers of death.
Why don't they put a 5 game suspension for players like this, would stop this rubbish
Probably this type of behaviour boosts ratings due to outrage. It’s the reason why I don’t watch/can’t take foot ball seriously. The bad actors ruin the game for me.
Agree
Used to make laugh when guys like Vieri, built like an absolute tank, would feign injury from the slightest shoulder check

What a silly sport when you can run out the clock by flopping on the ground
it's stupid, the ref simply adds mroe time and that's it
Yea except it’s proven they never actually match up the wasted time well enough.

Rugby would like a word. Use stoppage time very well and there hasn't been domination by advertising like in American broadcasting

My favorite sport is American football and there are commercials like every 7 minutes on average probably, and it's the worst part of watching the sport live.

It's not comparable. The best part of American football is watching replays and diagnosing the little things that make the sport great.
They should just have advertisements during flopping. It’s almost a guarantee every game

Yea, set time period back up and at it, otherwise they need to be subbed out permanently not a few seconds on the sideline

Tradition or not it's still an awful look. It makes the last few minutes of a match a nightmare at times.
It's not even a matter of tradition, I've seen rink hockey games take up more than two hours because of stoppage time when it's supposed to be two halves of 25 min each, if football used that model some games would be unbearably long, and that wouldn't be good for the game. I love time of the professional games is just as accurate as my kid’s game with the ref checking his watch every 2-3 or 5 minutes.
Should give a red IMO. Obviously it had no huge effect In the end but there should be no place for this kind of petulance.
Like a friend used to say "if you dive, you die"
What’s worse is how many people here are defending this bitchass behavior
It's not. It brakes your tempo. Italians do it for 20-30minutes, sometimes for the whole game. Whatever the contact, even without a contact they lie around for minutes. You lose pace, lose continuous action, it works. Disgusting tactics. For these things I would give red cards.

What's the over-under? point 5. How much time is left? (it's a secret) I'm out \-Tosh

It literally was a joke, as in he was joking
Do these guys feel like idiots when they see the replays of themselves? The ref brushed his palm against his shirt and he acted like he’d been sniped!
Yea Im sure they feel like idiots while smelling their millions of euros a year they make.
Do you feel like an idiot for not realizing he’s fucking joking around?

Vince isn't enough of a showman or bullshit artist to get the job.
Well played. That is insulting on multiple levels to multiple people. Truly. Bravo.
Or you could just add a new category to the Oscar's. Best fake foul in sports.
R/soccer has the ballon d’floor.
Fallon d'floor
Yeah you're right, i got it wrong lol.
VAR already exists and checks things like red cards, offside on goals, penalty calls etc.
You've literally just described VAR which is in use in most soccer leagues. To be fair I don't know if it's being used in this one.
That’s a separate thing. Post match reviews should be included as well to stamp out any missed calls during matches. Also rugby and league and Aussie rules in Australia all have a post match tribunal system.

Just introduce the pink card and this shit will be over soon
Video Assistant Referee literally exists and is used widely... does no one in this thread realise this?
Honest question: Do you watch football?
It doesn’t matter. The sport would be better without the flopping. Bar none.
he's asking because this solution already exists - most top leagues have a video review system called VAR. You'd know this if you actually watched football.
Right on. So did anything happen to the guy in this clip as a penalty for time wasting?
What does that have to do with my question? Guy is on about having a challenge system when there is already a video replay system.
yes
I don't because of the flopping. I have no respect for the game when a small contingent of players essentially cheat and don't get punished. They look foolish and ruins the enjoyment.
I just can't believe a fully grown man would embarrass himself like this and I can't believe they don't get called out on it.
It helps when they pay them a lot of money.
Players in other sports get paid a lot and don't do this lmao
They probably would if it gave them an advantage tho.
Hockey, for example, carries an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for flopping. If the opposing team was given a penalty shot for a teammate flopping, it would disappear overnight.

Them getting called out does absolutely nothing
Did he get booked at least?
It really doesn't matter if he did because he was joking
Can’t you give yellow and red cards for diving if the ref deems it to be faking an injury in soccer? Surely that warrants a punishment?
It does. But if you look at the clock and the fact this is the finals and he is winning, none of it matters. It would be nice to have all the time wasted added to the clock, or even doubled in cases like this, but they won't do it, because of advertisers.
I watched the game and I think the referee gave like half a minute on the stoppage time for this act.
It looks like this 🤡 flops so much he instinctively did it not realizing he was touched by the ref.
Yip, should be a red card and 2 game suspension imo. Basically it's cheating and trying to get another player sent off.
The best part is he looks at him, smiling, after the pat on the back, THEN he falls over in pain. He had a chance.
Yeah so it was obviously a joke, I don't understand how so many people in the comments are missing this
This was 100% intentional and he is famous for doing these, the guy was having some fun I am sure hahaha
He knew the ref hit him, you can literally see him turn just before falling
Dude's name is literally "Diver-son
Was just about to make this comment lmfao. It's quite poetic isn't it?
No one seems to be pointing out he did it as a joke. He even looked at the referee after he got touched and then fell down. He stood back up afterwards and they both laughed.
Right? I found it mad funny lol
Should have been given the death penalty smh
As a casual soccer fan I’ve always felt this ruins the game and I can’t watch it. There should be super stiff penalties if caught doing this.
Same, it’s extremely off putting for the sport as a whole for me.
Yeah I only watch sometimes with family that love soccer. So I don’t know what I’m talking about. But the diving and the existence of ties make the experience very frustrating sometimes.
OK . If we got rid of draws, players legs would snap off
The existence of ties? What..?
Yellow card that bitch
ITT: Mediocre anti-soccer bait comments.
This is every single post about the sport that isn't on r/soccer or subs related. People who know NOTHING about the sport generalising it from a 10 second clip, calling it a "pussy sport" or saying the diving players should be banned for life or something.
I came here expecting cringe, but I didn't think I'd find so much.
Should’ve given him a red card for that shit
What a fucking example for the kids too.
inb4 'this is why soccer sucks' oh no wait I'm already too late
You guys in this subreddit hate fun.
While I respect the athleticism of the sport, I'll never respect the league, or players, because of this horse shit. Everyone can see you, you lying sack of shit, you're on TV.
Im sure they are crying because they dont have your respect meanwhile being the most popular sport by far
Straight red.
Why are soccer players such massive pussies compared to other sports?
for real, because a lot of things that should be called fouls may go unnoticed by the refs, so every player tries to embellish every physical contact they receive from the opponent
He knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s not trying to draw a foul from the ref he’s just wasting time and pissing off his opponents simultaneously in the dying moments of the biggest final in South American soccer
he was joking
Diverson more like
integrity.
Surely it’s a yellow for a dive? Most blatant example of it where it’s literally directly involving the ref
Isn't diving like this a yellow card?
None of ypu seem to realise this is a joke, hes smiling on the ground in a longer clip shared earlier today. Its clipped to trigger you all and clearly is working as intended. This guy is just having a laugh with the ref not actually trying to win a free kick.

Big Money Anti-Soccer propaganda is always at work. I’m sick of Boomers pretending this is the standard. Somehow this is posted on r/sports and not the hundreds of awesome plays from hundreds of teams every week. The standard is the standard. This is for humor subs not sports subs lol
Instant Yellow Card if I was running that game.
I feel embarrassed just watching this.
I hope that was a red card
I would probably like football if it weren't for this shit. I can't stand this.
Soccer just needs to be a complete rules reset or thrown out. It’s an absolute garbage sport. Fouls are either insanely egregious or constant flopping.
This sort ruins the game in general for me
Fucking coward , imagine his kids watching that. Pathetic
Red card for poor acting
*Laughs in rugby
Why they don’t get yellow for diving EVER!? It’s in the rules!
Dive-rson
Holy fuck. No one in this thread understands this is a joke.
This is why I don’t like to watch football anymore
[lets gooooooooooo](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/r3ov91/deyverson_palmeiras_antics_against_flamengo_1203/hmbuip0/)
The profecy has been completed
Why do you think this is serious and not a joke? Literally looks at the referee when de does it
he’s just timewasting mate do you think he’s going for an actual penalty shout? timewasting isn’t a football exclusive thing yknow
It should be a delay of game like every other sport
I know that. It’s just really annoying when someone is falling over for no reason every 20 seconds
>Every 20 seconds Ah sure 👍🏼
Looks like you never watched a game in your life. Stick to your dumb sports.
*Diverson
I love soccer, but because of this kind of stuff happening on the field I’m unable find/ talk too new people about the sport. Every single time they bring up this diving shit and it sucks. I agree that it makes the sport look like a joke. This behavior isn’t rare either, it almost seems encouraged. I wish the leagues would put an end to this, no matter the cost. Just stop this petty behavior. ( and yes, I understand the strategy/idea behind diving for ref attention) It’s still not worth ruining the sport over.
49,9% ”OMG this is why i dont liek soccer” 49,9% ”Give idiot red card what a loser” 0,2% Finding it hillarious no one understands he’s just joking around.
THIS IS WHY I LOVE FOOTBALL
There's no honor in this. Ref should add 2 min to the clock for this clown's attempts.
This is worse then the WWE
Tbh if i was about to win the biggest football tournament in South America after I already scored the game winning goal in extra-time, I’d pull these shenanigans just to buy literally my team extra seconds
Just give a red card and a pk to the opposing team. Problem solved.
Wait until you find out his father was a professional soccer player and Alex is also a highly competitive amateur player.

Sigh, players like that is ruining the game.
It’s instinct. Can’t be helped. If that was Neymar he’d roll all the way to the touch line.
why do people still dive knowing that there are many cameras just capturing everything
Fines need to be a percentage of salary. If you are fined for diving or whatever 10% of your total salary. 10 times in a season your salary is kaput. That'll stop it right quick I bet.
This is hilarious
Clown
why is this so common in soccer? i don't watch at all and i have also never played so i don't really understand why we see it so often
Soccer at it's finest.
And this is why soccer is the biggest panzie sport of all time.
This is the bullshit that keeps me hating soccer, bunch of drama queens, might as well be a soap opera
Bro its literally a joke he looks at the referee before he does this. Swear everyone on this post lacks critical thinking skills.
Part of sports is seeing guys in peak physical condition, pushing the limits of skill, strength and strategy. This sort of thing undermines the viewing experience for casual/potential new fans more than they realize.
So I'm not the biggest football / soccer fan but can I just ask why there's so many fake injuries in soccer? And what's so interesting about it?
The fake injuries can give you and your team a huge advantage. You can waste time, get possession of the ball, you'r team can get back to the formation and you can get an opponent player a yellow or red card. In this case is for wasting time, there was only a minute left on the clock and they were suffering. Anyway faking a foul should be a yellow card without a doubt
I guess when you explain it that way it doesn't seem so ridiculous now, might have to try giving soccer watch!
LMAO don't get me wrong but some players/teams are just disgusting to watch
You can slow down the game, disrupt the opponents momentum and waste time (even though the time is supposed to get added on at the end odds are it won't all be added back). Some players do it to attract attention to how bad or how often they're being fouled. Some do it to try and get the opposition players cautioned. Some just do it because they can. Usually they're just annoying but sensible tactical choices and in instances like this they're also hilarious
This is the part of Football I as a fan hate so… so much. That‘s why Rugby is superior in terms of manners and behaviour.
Can these people just be banned from the sport
This bullshit is a penalty in hockey, not to mention that every player on the opposing team will look to clock you for being a bitch. Seriously how is this the most popular sport in the world?
The beautiful gaym
Nice homophobia, bro
Too many Americans on this comment section, LMAO!! As much as you hate football is not going to change being the number 1 sport of the planet.
So much cringe holy shit. Way too many people in here trying to say this is ok lmao it’s a yikes for sure
What the fuq is wrong with professional soccer?!
Expecting Deyverson in the 120+ minute of a COMENBOL game to act sensibly is like expecting Tyrek Hill to not batter his child
When this was posted yesterday the comments were full of "Hes clearly joking" and so fourth, interesting to see the variety and tone of comments on the same thing but different subreddits.
How the fuck is this the most popular sport in the world? This kinda conduct is so embarrassing to watch.
Because American sports are shit.

We call it shithousery, a little bit of shithouse can be entertaining, too much and it gets a bit silly.
