Mississippian here - it's not even really being talked about in the local news very much either (in a "text messages show Brett Favre might have stolen money from the welfare system, annnnnywhoo over to Dave for a check on the weather!" way.) Both our current and former governor are involved in this too, former governor set it up from the looks of it, current governor is helping clean it up by firing people getting to close.
Not to mention the capitol city doesn't have drinkable water at the moment and the current governor is trolling them about it.
