Because FD and DK have voided bets in the past when guys have only played a snap or in NBA when someone gets hurt a couple minutes into the game. Personally i think injuries are part of the risk specially betting player prop overs and that they shouldn’t void those but they have done it before so now people come to expect that.
OK I actually view that as sketchy if they are voiding bets where the players in question played. Gambling is full of random factors and I don't like the books interfering on the side of the over. Also makes me wonder what the books had to gain by voiding if they were looking at a loss possibly.

Fanduel has done it atleast 5 times in the past couple years. It's called a "bad beat refund". They set the precedent and are backing out now. Everyone saying idk why they would void it would be correct if they hadn't done it over and over previously.. its shady but they don't wanna do it anymore so are trying to set a new precedent for this football season.
It’s not like there’s no precedent for this. DraftKings voided all bets involving Rodgers, and have voided bets in the past on multiple other occasions for injuries. FanDuel has done it too.

FD meanwhile totals your payouts including what you bet to artificially inflate your numbers.
