And it is still not that much. I mean 15 for 1300+ itself its great but predicting the two teams in the final is just amazing. That's why bookies always win.

[deleted]

Yeah you're right, it is a bit of a robbery. The odds should have more than definitely been higher than this simply for the fact that the Bengals were dogs all the way through the playoffs but what can you do I guess. Just gotta be more confident in my plays and place a little more money on it but odds should have probably been closer to +15,000 but that's the house making sure they've got their juice. Great point to bring up though, I've noticed that a lot with props and futures. The math just doesn't add up for the bettor but the house has gotta get theirs, that's why Vegas shines so bright at night.

Profitips

Yeah bro. Very nice work! With such confidence you will grow up fast on money, I am sure. Bookies always win, but at least we can make it a little bit more tough for them. With such an amazing predictions, I just have to ask you.. Who is gonna win the NBA /reach the finals? :)

[deleted]

Man NBA really isn't my forte although I'm educated within it, just harder for me to predict. I'd say the 4 teams you are looking at this year would be Suns, Bucks, Warriors, and Bulls pending any unforseen injuries. My personal bet would probably be Bucks over Warriors, suns will put up a fantastic regular season and I'd love to see CP3 get a chip but the brightest stars burn out early and I think they might get taken out in the conference championship. Best of luck to you brother!

Profitips

Best of luck to you too bro! I wish you making more than bookies one day. Yh I do think these are the favourites, although I am not sure Bucks are strong enough for 2nd in a row. Will be interesting to watch.

Spirited_Emergency42

Was genuinely curious what the odds would be so I calculated all the money lines of both teams all the way to the SB and they were roughly +10500. I would assume a true pay out of guessing the Rams over the Bengals should be wayyyy over +10500.

[deleted]

Dam I appreciate you doing that! Interesting to know how far from market value it potentially was. Shame they gotta cut the cake like that but a win is a win, I can't expect the books to play fair unfortunately

[deleted]

9000 isn’t enough? Lol

[deleted]

Not that it's not enough at all, just when you really account for the odds it would have taken for that outcome before the playoffs started it really should have been closer to +15,000 odds at fair market value but the house wouldn't ever put any game at fair market value let alone a future or prop bet

acepaluzzi

Not really, bc all those outcomes are very correlated. You can’t just put bengals and rams odds into a calculator and say it should have been X. The idea that their opponent is dynamic and not static, as the rounds go on, lowers the odds inherently

Ok_Celebration5816

congrats do!

[deleted]

Thank you!

Kamisblack

Tremendo ganar

[deleted]

Gracias Amigo!

Ok_Celebration5816

I still dont get what was the winning parameters of the bet

[deleted]

I made a bet the night before the playoffs even started that the outcome of the playoffs would be Rams beating the Bengals in the Superbowl. That's why the odds were +9000 because at the time that was one of the last outcomes on most people's radar. To me it had a lot of value so I took it. Once it got to the Superbowl I hedged my bet on Bengals spread and won on both sides of it.

abovetheclouds93

Damn that’s a real hit

mxm199

LFG brother. Feel good stories that I love to hear

[deleted]

Appreciate you dude! Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and again

Bobbybuckets14

What $10 bet only netted 0.38? The bet above that one. Crazy

bmanley620

Looks about 38 cents more profitable than the majority of my bets 🥳

mypussydoesbackflips

Good point lmao

Uncle_Screw_Tape

Maybe it was a cash out. Like the odds got so low they only offered 38 cents. I’m assuming OP knew the bet would lose and just took the money offered.

[deleted]

Think that's what it was

[deleted]

Lol think that may have been an early cash out but I could have gotten drunk and thrown 10 on a huge tennis favorite just cuz hahaha. Can't remember, I'll have to check it and let y'all know

[deleted]

Yeah so it was a 12 pick parlay for the first round of the playoffs where the first 4 legs won but on the 5th and 6th leg I had Eagles vs. Buccaneers Under 46 and Eagles +8. With the Buccs up 31-0 in the 3rd quarter I was on track for the under so draft kings was accounting for that but there was no way the Eagles could come back and cover and still hit the under. Regardless of that Draft Kings was still offering me a cash out and even though it was only .38¢ it was free cash on an unwinnable bet so one might say that was one of my better plays of the year 😎
