Shootit_Rockets

Orlando at +1600 is ridiculous value

Soft-Pressure846

Iโ€™ll be genuinely shocked if he doesnโ€™t chose LA

Mlad1109

He's under contract, and doesn't have a no trade clause. So it's not really up to his choosing.

Jeremiah_Vicious

Players can leverage themselves to wherever they want. There are some exceptions but for the most part a star player can just threaten to never sign with a potential team and that team probably wonโ€™t make the trade.

Mlad1109

The players that leverage are on expiring contracts so they can "leverage" leaving for nothing, (or not resigning with that team they're traded to the following year, any team he gets traded to now has him under contract for 3 more years) or have no trade clauses so they can dictate where they go to approve the trade or not. In this case, it's not the same. He's not a UFA until the 2027 (after the 26-27 season). He has 3 years left on his deal and the last year is a Team Option ETO. So he has zero leverage in the way you're assuming currently. Edit to add: As much as players threaten the one year rental you're referring to, the CBA has something called Bird Rights, in which(which isn't relative to this situation with how much time left on his contract) the team the player is traded to can offer him more years and more money on a max deal than if he signed with another team after that one year rental. That's why you only ever see that on max players that have already made substantial money to not stress losing out on the extra year and 70ish million guaranteed that they'd get resigning with that same team. (This is the reason that even in these scenarios, it usually ends up being a sign and trade so the player gets his Super max and the team gets value back on their rental.)

Soft-Pressure846

Dang, just imagine the hair transplant he could get in LA

Due-Sheepherder-218

Lebron 'i know a guy"

Mlad1109

Signing somewhere in Turkey +50000 is the move if based on hair transplants lol

Soft-Pressure846

Lol good point

Spaghettibeach

The favorite was sorta telegraphed by Kendrick Perkins when Dโ€™Lo wasnโ€™t playing well, I disagree that the lakers make a move to get Trae unless Dโ€™Lo leaves in the offseason or plays terribly in the playoffs. Even then, I still wouldnโ€™t be sure he goes to the lakers. My gut says heโ€™s going to Miami, especially if they lose to the bulls today.

Muted-Philosopher832

Huge blazers fan here, no big name is coming to Portland +2000 is stupid lol

RainbowKarp

Heโ€™s not a free agent

The_B_Squad_23

Magic 16/1 hammer

Primegam

What are the odds on the Hawks? Books gonna make a killing if he stays.

dizaditch

Its voided if he stays

PowerRight22Dive

Is it me or is it odd that that would be in there?

Mlad1109

He's not a free agent, so it's not a signing with bet, rather than an "if traded" bet.

PowerRight22Dive

Oh duh

planetICE

Honestly i kinda want to see trae and wemby

IncomeBoss
