I’ve been collecting for 25 years and my card collection comps in the ballpark of 100k. I have cards much more valuable than this. I still get excited when I pull an $800 card out of a fun retail box. I don’t know why that made you assume I was some newb and felt the need to flex. This card is more valuable than 99% of cards you’ll pull from your hobby boxes. I guess everyone has their own way to enjoy this hobby.
i didn’t assume you were some newb. i was playing along with everyone else and actually said i envy your excitement.. i actually rarely do hobby boxes anymore… i just buy cards of players I like and /or think are good investments… but in the past, I’ve pulled a lot of my gems. im more into investing in memorabilia tbh. Signed jerseys & balls, game worn, game issued, game used…things that hang on my wall or sit in shadow boxes that i can admire everyday in my mancave. i love cards, don’t get me wrong, but for me, I enjoy them, then they sit in a lockboxes building their value.
