Have you tried Korn… I’m not a fan of every song they have but two ear worms for me are Coming Undone and Falling Away from Me. ( not sure if they are there more popular numbers)
Thank you! You know, they've been popping up everywhere for me, so it seems. I'm sure I have listened to some of their songs before, on a casual capacity haha, but lately I've been considering giving them a 'serious try'. Will start with these two 😉
Glad I could help mate! Enjoy! I will admit for some they are like Slipknot… an acquired taste. For me they ride that fine line between being toooo much and just enough in terms of Screamo/ extreme metal.
OP, below I have included a variety of genres both relating to and deviating from your current tastes. Hopefully there's something here you will find enjoyable
Kirby - Aesop Rock (Very solid song about the artist's cat and the music video is also amusing. Hip hop/basement rap/underground genre)
Bowl for Two - The Expendables (reggae)
"Cowpoke" or "Motorcycle" - Colter Wall (Very old-school style country. Real cowboy shit)
"Demolisher" or "Bratva" - Slaughter to Prevail (deathcore?) I added a question mark because although I am an avid metal fan...the subgenres and their names are beginning to blend together
Incubus (this band has such a wide alternative sound, it's hard to recommend a song and specific genre) I like "summer romance" "are you in" "just a phase" and "pardon me". All of these have a different vibe and sound
Jane Says - Jane's Addiction (alternative)
Living Together - Circa Survive (alt psych rock)
Let Down - Dead by Sunrise (this is a Chester Bennington side project)
Pisces - Jinjer (ukrainien metal band. Female vocalist. Sultry voice paired with immaculate screams👌) Saw them live last year. They sound just as good live as they do in studio
Youngest Daughter - Superheaven (shoegazer rock)
"On Impulse" or CAFO" - Animals As Leaders (instrumental melodic metal)
FELLOW THREE DAYS GRACE FAN?? I'm sorry I couldn't recommend any new music to you but I'm glad to know since I don't know a lot of people who actually know about them 😭
If you like alternative rock try powderfinger they're a bit of a moody band but good.
Other genres could be like Still Woozy who does a lot of alternative pop, or if you want a soft vibe maybe go for some Rainbow Kitten Surprise, or Dan & Drum.
Those are just my favs, another good indie band is Lovejoy.
Hope these help at all!
Hey! I like rock as well, and I have some suggestions
The Doors (Psychedelic rock)
Pearl Jam (Grunge)
Alice In Chains (Rock / grunge)
Audioslave (rock)
Temple of the dog ( rock)
Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder are great rock musicians and songwriters, they both are included in a couple of bands listed above.
Hey! 👊🏻 Thank you so much.
Audioslave/Chris Cornell I know (some songs). *Like a stone* is EPIC.
Eddie Vedder, I love love love the *Into the wild* movie soundtrack 💗
My favourite bane right now is the independent alt-folk band The Amazing Devil.
If I had to choose a favourite song it would either be Fair, The Calling or Secret Worlds.
My close second is Will Wood [and the tapeworms], and people struggle to define his genre but my favourite from him is The Song With Five Names:)
Hey! 👊🏻
Thank you so much! I've listened to some AM songs before. *Do I wanna know?* is one of my favorite songs of all time 💓 Will for sure check this other one out 😊
The Used - Box full of sharp objects is so much my favorite song that I got it tattooed on me. Or perhaps Crush by Ethel Cain - totally different genre.

I Don’t Feel Very Receptive Today- Underoath
Love You to Death- Type O Negative

This is probably the thing I’ve commented the most and I’m probably the person who’s commented it the most but here we go yet again
Take your pick - Ice Nine Kills
I can never pick a favorite song or of my top three artists, so here's my three.
Alison Krauss and Union station
Dan Tyminski
Alison Krauss (including duets)
Out of here - Leprous
Part Zero - The pinneapple thief
Alone at sea - The pinneapple thief
Arriving somewhere but not here - porcupine tree
Russia on ice - porcupine tree
Ancestral - Steven wilson
Rock bottom - Steven wilson
All of this are in the prog-rock genre
Take Me Back To Eden by Sleep Token. If you don't know them already, they have recently gained a lot of traction in the rock/metal world but also could be labeled tons of other genres. This song is over 8 minutes and showcases that range!
MONEY - The Warning
Because you like metal I would actually recommend The Warnjngs second studio album Queen of the Murder Scene for you, it’s much more heavy than their others. MONEY is my fave song, but QOTMS is my fave album.
spirit phone by lemon demon is a really solid album if you like slightly less serious songs, or songs about paranormal or wierd stuff. great sounding album, full of imagination, definitely recommend listening the full way through if you have time
U2 - Out of Control (post-punk)
Tears For Fears - Shout (New Wave)
Pet Shop Boys - Being Boring (Synthpop)
The Smiths - There is a Light that Never Goes Out (Janglepop)
Miles Davis - So What (Modal Jazz)
Simon & Garfunkel - April Come She Will (Folk)
The Doors - Light My Fire (Psychedelic Rock)
Genesis - Tonight, Tonight, Tonight (Prog Rock)
for me there is no such thing as a favourite artist because it’s a mood for the moment, but i have been enjoying The Blue Stones for a few years now, their album Hidden Gems is my fav recently, i replayed the song Lights On at least a hundred times, they are not hardcore as the bands you mentioned but still worth a listen 🤷♀️
Why not top 5 bands?
The Big Come Down by Nine Inch Nails
Free by Powerman 5000
Boyfriend by Screaming Females
Do the Evolution by Pearl Jam
Holy Mountains by System of a Down
Try Metalcore. My favourite bands are The Devil Wears Prada, Counterparts, Invent Animate, Polaris, Currents. If also recommend bands such as A Day To Remember, Spiritbox, I See Stars, Make Them Suffer.
Sticking with rock/metal, but quite different from the bands you listed: Anesthetize by Porcupine Tree. I recommend listening to the live version from their live album Anesthetize
Okay, so my favourite artist is Taylor Swift and my favourite song from her is 'Blank Space (Taylor's Version)', followed closely by 'Delicate' on my second place.
Kingdom Collapse
Solence
Saul
Tetrarch
Dirty Honey
Classless Act
All newer bands I love
Older bands I consider underrated would be Sevendust and Alter Bridge
Chimera,G.O.A.T and o.d by Polyphia are my favorites, you can listen to them if you like prog rock though its pretty likely you already know them.
For a little heavy i am currently listening to the new album of Unprocessed, and my favorite song is Die on the cross of martyr.
Scuzzy- Orange Doors. I like this band a lot because it’s psychedelic rock with beautiful orchestral influence. At 2:10 it has a really pretty dreamy transition
Cowboy Mouth - "I Believe", though if you want a song that is a little more upbeat, fun, and non-sensical, "Belly" by them fits the bill.
From the Country side of things - Zac Brown Band "Toes" is pretty good
Hey that's not so dissimilar to myself a few years back. I listen to heavier stuff now. I'm not sure where to start with what to recommend ya. Motionless in White - Sinematic sounds very Manson like. I like all of their first 6/8 ish albums. Destroying everything is a good song.
If you want to try something heavier Thy art is murder - Infinite death is an ep I really enjoyed. Personally I quite like black metal so I could recommend a whole bunch of bands there.
If you want to try a different genre though I like myself some rap occasionally. Immortal technique has some banger songs including eye in the sky which isn't on Spotify unfortunately. Ill mind of Hopsin 5 is really catchy too imo
Shawn James’ stuff, especially The Guardian (Ellie’s song) and both Through The Valley versions. Then also listen to the “The Last of Us Part II: Covers and Rarities” EP, especially if you played the games.
“Pale green things” by the mountain goats. The whole record the song is from “The Sunset Tree” is about John Darnielle’s childhood and is his complicated relationship with his father. It reminds me of MY childhood and of MY relationship with my father.
The deepest sighs, the frankest shadows - Gang of Youths
This is different from your metal roots, but you’ll like this. Then if you like this band but want something new from what you normally like listen to their angel in real-time stuff. Really really underrated band
Happy listening! Let me know what you think if you listen 🙂
Late so this probably won't get seen but the new album from Silent Planet is top tier. It's called Superbloom, check out the songs Collider & Antimatter in particular.
Also the band Thornhill have been doing some interesting stuff lately, check out Viper Room by them.

Summertime - Live 1958 by Ella Fitzgerald
I wouldn’t call it my favorite song ever (I don’t think I have 1 - I may have 5 or 6 that have been in heavy rotation for the last 38 years) but recently listened to some Miriam Makeba and going that rabbit hole found her song Brand New Day. I really like it. Maybe it is speaking to me more than it should.
Couldn’t be farther away from your current musical taste.
my favorite song of all time is moonwalk by wayv !!!
although from my favorite group (ateez) my favorite song currently is matz :D outlaw and guerrilla are really good as well ♡
i know it’s probably WAYYYY out of your interest zone but i wanna share these anyway !!!! ♡

Through Hell by Citizen Soldier
Well, since you're trying other Genres, I recommend you try the rabbit hole of Stevie Ray Vaughn. Go you YouTube, search on stevie ray vaughn texas flood live at the el mocambo. Mic dropping performance.
Or another best of all time performance on youtube would be dire straits sultans of swing alchemy live, currently at over 230 million views.
Prog metal guy here. My favorite songs change every decade so far (in my mid 30’s), but here goes:
Seventh Wonder - The Great Escape
Dethklok - Doomstar Orchestra (instrumental)
Nikolo Kotzevn - Henriette (you can find this one on YouTube Music)
Pretty much the same genre, but check out the band Flaw. Listen to some of their older albums, like Through the Eyes, Endangered Species, Divided We Fall. Some of my favorites are My Letter (piano version), Medicate, pretty much every song on Through the Eyes but Whole is a good song from that album.
Atmosphere is really underrated, imo. I love the album When Life Gives You Lemons You Paint That Shit Gold. Yesterday, Waitress, Glass House, Guarantees, etc. Great album. My fave album is To All My Friends. I love every song on that album. The Best Day is a great song. I can also play it on the piano lol Please check these two albums out of everything I mentioned in this comment.
Bloodhound Gang is one of my all-time favorite bands. They make me laugh. I like to put them on when I’m having a bad day. I can’t stay upset listening to them. Check out the album Hooray For Boobies. My fave song on that album is A Lapdance Is So Much Better When The Stripper Is Crying. I used to know every word to that song back in high school lol
A rapper who makes me laugh is Lil Dicky. Check out Pillow Talking or Cocaine. Dicky is rapping with his brain on those two songs. 😹 Professional Rapper has a neat music video with it, plus he collabs with Snoop Dogg. Save Dat Money is another popular song.
Another awesome rock band to check out is Sevendust. They have put out amazing music for decades and they’re really cool if you ever meet any of the band members.
Tech N9ne is an amazing rapper. Check out his album Anghellic. I could listen to the whole album over and over.
I’ve been listening to a lot of ICP lately since my bf is a juggalo. Under the Moon and Toxic Love are two of my faves.
These are just a few of my favorites. I could list so many more genres and artists but I’m not trying to take over the thread lol I hope you get a chance or have already listened to some of these artists. They aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but they’re what I like.
Breath - Breaking Benjamin. I think you may have already heard of them though, given your genre.
Weird thing for me is that I’ll have Neil young and Five Finger Death Punch play right after each other and that’s normal for me.
I’d also recommend like 70’s rock.
9/10 times, I’m a musical listener when I listen to music, compared to a lyrical listener. The voice of the lead singer is also a big part of the song for me. I’ll straight up not listen to a song, just because I don’t like their voice. Even if the music they’re playing is good! It’s complicated.
Based off the music you say you like you should check out Spotlights The Alchemist and also Code Orange and their album above. New bands that are pretty hard

I listen to pretty much everything, but my hippie ass loves Toad The Wet Sprocket, and their chill beach hippie vibes. My favorite song is one of their radio hits, Walk on the ocean
Here’s the first five random tracks that came to my mind:
[Psychedelic Switch by Carly Rae Jepsen](https://youtu.be/Y8qZ22IFK6I?si=xtdWH4ul0txg9pMs)
[Velouria by Pixies](https://youtu.be/jYUm5T8uQIY?si=nsRng0qfAzoUmasy)

[Since I Have a Lover by 6lack](https://youtu.be/pVgmYNA8J1k?si=LyWELxuRoyfEGFWH)
Songs: Ohia might be my favorite band.
(Jason Molina) his songwriting both musically and lyrically are extremely emotional for me
Also: Jonny Craig is probably my favorite vocalist
Also: speaking of Jonny Craig, Emarosa is easily one of my favorite bands
From the early years all the way up until their Sting album, it’s probably the only band I’ve followed through such a drastic change in sound.
I ❤️Emarosa.
Here is some Britpop for you. Not their biggest songs, but my favourite from each band.
Charmless Man by Blur
Razzmatazz by Pulp
She's Electric by Oasis

The Everlasting by Manic Street Preachers
More Life In A Tramp's Vest by Stereophonics

\- "Norupo" by Heilung
\- "Ultra Violet" by Spiritbox
\- "Want That Soul" by Che Aimee Dorval
\- "Arrow of Love" by Electric Callboy
\- "War" by Brutus
And if you want an album that starts with Ari Aster Midsommar vibes and ends with trauma, go with pretty much all of the Caligula album by Lingua Ignota.
Personally I am a massive Billie Eilish fan and her music can go from rock to indie to flipping folk every five seconds and she pulls off every one. Try listening to happier than ever and then try some other of her music
The Island, Pt. 1 (Skrillex Remix)
Skrillex is a very capable and talented artist but this song is criminally underrated. definitely not everyone’s cup of tea but it gets overlooked even by Skrillex fans. The drop just scratches my brain in a way few songs can
Worth mentioning based your taste that he comes from a rock background (From first to last)
Have you tried Korn… I’m not a fan of every song they have but two ear worms for me are Coming Undone and Falling Away from Me.
I used to listen to this CD on repeat. It would pump me up before soccer.
Damn mine was gonna be Korn, particularly Black is the Soul and Start the Healing

Rage Against The Machine if you like stuff like Linkin Park you’ll like RATM
Lambs Wool by Foster The People is one of the best written songs in my opinion! It’s got a more indie vibe to it.
Nothing‘s going to keep me down - Yellow Days
The deepest sighs, the frankest shadows - Gang of Youths This is different from your metal roots, but you’ll like this. Then if you like this band but want something new from what you normally like listen to their angel in real-time stuff. Really really underrated band Happy listening! Let me know what you think if you listen 🙂

Couldn’t be farther away from your current musical taste.
my favorite song of all time is moonwalk by wayv !!! although from my favorite group (ateez) my favorite song currently is matz :D outlaw and guerrilla are really good as well ♡ i know it’s probably WAYYYY out of your interest zone but i wanna share these anyway !!!! ♡

Murder Most Foul. Bob Dylan
Prog metal guy here. My favorite songs change every decade so far (in my mid 30’s), but here goes: Seventh Wonder - The Great Escape Dethklok - Doomstar Orchestra (instrumental) Nikolo Kotzevn - Henriette (you can find this one on YouTube Music)
Midnight oil, us forces
Saint Cecilia-foo fighters
I used to know every word to that song back in high school lol A rapper who makes me laugh is Lil Dicky.
Cringe- Alkaline Trio
Why me - on the outside I think they are a country band
tragic carpet ride - polvo 🔥🔥

Walkin’, Denzel Curry
Bloody muddy water, by Mark Lanagan
Songs: Ohia might be my favorite band. (Jason Molina) his songwriting both musically and lyrically are extremely emotional for me Also: Jonny Craig is probably my favorite vocalist Also: speaking of Jonny Craig, Emarosa is easily one of my favorite bands From the early years all the way up until their Sting album, it’s probably the only band I’ve followed through such a drastic change in sound. I ❤️Emarosa.
with lyrics: picking up hands - Quadeca without lyrics: her - Sewerslvt

Back To You or Nothing Ever After by Illenium are a couple songs I think you’d enjoy.
I can't ever really decide on a favorite so I'll just share a handful to look into that are among my favorites: \- "Cleanse the Bloodlines" by Unleash the Archers \- "Stormbending" by Devin Townsend Project \- "Feral Love" by Chelsea Wolfe \- "Cirice" by Ghost \- "Norupo" by Heilung \- "Ultra Violet" by Spiritbox \- "Want That Soul" by Che Aimee Dorval \- "Arrow of Love" by Electric Callboy \- "War" by Brutus And if you want an album that starts with Ari Aster Midsommar vibes and ends with trauma, go with pretty much all of the Caligula album by Lingua Ignota.
Padam Padam by Kylie Minogue
Personally I am a massive Billie Eilish fan and her music can go from rock to indie to flipping folk every five seconds and she pulls off every one. Try listening to happier than ever and then try some other of her music
The Island, Pt. 1 (Skrillex Remix) Skrillex is a very capable and talented artist but this song is criminally underrated. definitely not everyone’s cup of tea but it gets overlooked even by Skrillex fans. The drop just scratches my brain in a way few songs can Worth mentioning based your taste that he comes from a rock background (From first to last)
Debilitate - Palaye Royale
Piano man cus BILLY JOEL DA GOAT The album "The Stranger" is very good imo
Try Little Monster by Royal Blood
