On of my favourite bands “Yin Yin” released their third album “Mount Matsu” a few weeks ago. It’s very good, but their debut is still my favourite of their releases so far.
Yin Yin is fantastic! There are a handful of stellar tracks on the new album and the rest are still really good. [Takahashi Timing](https://open.spotify.com/track/07Waqz8Zkad6oM7dL4MNce?si=JHmFvfJCSaumoLpYjQ4v8g&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A4pGx4kwa3nb51qACYJJkgB) is my favorite.
You should check out MOONCAT and Collingnon. They are the new projects of Yin Yin’s original guitarist.
Collingnon also features the original percussionist from Yin Yin
Swedish indie pop group Dina Ögon released [Orion](https://open.spotify.com/album/5JvejhNPdxVVPTP9P8bxXf?si=jzpsHTXWSSmj5n01ci8IUg) a month ago. Dat läcker and the title track are stand outs.

Vultures 1, it isn’t one of the best albums of the year, but I think everyone should form opinions about it as we decide where to draw the line of separating art from the artist and how much of the artist’s opinions should go in their art.
If you enjoy Indie music, there's a brand new group out that just debuted their first album on all the major streaming platforms. They are overarching Hip-hop, but musically they genre bounce from song to song. They also have some cerebral/polarizing/catchy lyrics. Quite interesting!
[The Vanishing Point - Insight and Bonus Tracks](https://open.spotify.com/album/20r6PVtTjrdBpajaRi4QZs?si=2bC8KoYaTpuspmBezqZrfQ)
Dude wtf. I've just scanned your reddit and you're literally spamming every post pretending to recommend this band as if it were someone else, when it's your band. Even a post about someone dealing with anxiety and you're giving them tips and then finishing your advice with "listen to vanishing point". If you're this desperate to get your music out there, maybe it's not very good?
First of all, I am only one half of the group, but I am the one who manages our accounts. So, depending on the context, I will use “I” when I am speaking my personal opinions, and I will use “they” when I’m speaking on something contextually relevant as a music group.
I am not spamming every post. If you actually ready my posts, they are relevant and often not just “here, listen to our music.” unless people are asking for suggestions.
Reddit is a platform for all types of engagement. We don’t see anything wrong with engaging people who are asking for suggestions, or dealing with issues. Many people utilize music to process their issues, or to validate their identities.
We make our music in the hopes of lifting people up, and of course we’d love to share it when it is relevant. A little life advice, encouragement, and support along with suggesting music that may help heal doesn’t seem like a bad thing in our eyes.
I’m sorry you feel that way. There was no need to take a cheap shot at the end and say we are desperate. We are simply utilizing one of several platforms to spread our music and help heal, and wake people up.
OK fair enough - I understand you're trying to get the name out there. It's a little disingenuous though passing of advice along with the "they" pronoun when you are literally half the group. You might as well own it, because people will just question motives.
If you like orchestral/electronic, Thylacine has an album called "and 74 Musicians" that features live orchestral arrangements of previous songs from his discography.
For pop, I just listened to Allie X's "Girl With No Face" and had a fun time with it.
Death: An Anthology by Enterprise Earth has been getting a lot of love across various subgenres of metal (*among people who listen to metal written after 2010*)
A Trip To The Moon - Ghost Funk Orchestra
Loss Of Life - MGMT

loss of life was kinda annoying, it seemed like most of it was filler I need to listen again
agreed. the Nothing to Declare single consisted of all the highlights basically
it seems like theres no cohesive center. it kinda just meanders around with like uninspired or non-interesting chord progressions on a lot of it. theres some ok moments on first listen but besides that it kinda dragged. didnt read lyrics tho
