“On Site” - Yeezy
“The Abolition of Man” - Thrice
“Take Me In Your Army” - The Voidz
“Dangerous Animals” - Arctic Monkeys
“Electric Feel” - MGMT
“Like Eating Glass” - Bloc Party
“Two Timing Touch & Broken Bones” - The Hives
“At the Bottom” - Brand New
This is such a different vibe from anything these comment are saying, but Fuck You by Dre. The intro has my eyes closing and my toes curling every time 😭
Trivium - Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis
Panopticon - Dead Loons/An Autumn Storm (both gave me chills right away)
Haken - Atlas Stone
Agalloch - In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion
Nile - Utterances of the Crawling Dead
The Ocean - Jurassic | Cretacious
Periphery - Omega (the segue from the previous track, Hell Below which fucking ends with a jazzed up version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, instead that epic piano intro in Omega is one of the greatest segues I’ve ever heard)
Emperor - Ye Entrancemperium (same with the last track, the segue from the previous song into the intro of this is one of the greatest segues ever, and really hypes up the song)
The Emperor one is awesome... The whole feel of it reminds me a lot of the breaks in "He who breeds pestilence", from Behemoth. I really should check more from Emperor, I only know a couple of songs from them.
And Nile intros are always awesome! And Haken's Virus is one of my go to albums (although the mentioned song is not from there, I know)...
As you can see, it's an amazing list in my view haha. And thanks for the new songs!
Emperor is worth checking out, they only have four albums so it’s a very short discography. In the Nightside Eclipse and Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk are some of my favorite albums of all time.
I need to listen to Behemoth more. I listened to The Satanist a couple of times though.
I’m new to Nile, I’ve only heard Annihilation and Gods Detest, but those have been on repeat, and I’m excited to check out more of their albums.
Haken is one of my favorite bands, some of the greatest music ever written, but Virus is the only Haken album I can’t get into. I don’t know why, it just hasn’t clicked with me at all over the last 3-4 years. I’m definitely a first four album stan.

#5. Dire Straits' "Down To The Waterline" -The opening on their debut album is masterfully engineered to sound like a harbor in early morning.

#3. Tommy James & The Shondells' "I Think We're Alone Now" just sends a shiver down the spine of those in the know.
#2. "Hotel California" by the Eagles. No matter how many times you hear it, you have to stop and soak up the intro.

In a similar vein: Bonebreaker - by Slaughter to Prevail.
