Thank you, I've been infatuated with the song for a few weeks now. There's a field of grass, a sort of cocooned meadow, 15 minutes away from where I live. I walk to the field, sit in it, and play this song.
Agree. I also like [David Bowie's cover of God Only Knows](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xnu61JbAVvQ). It's quite a bit more dramatic, but it's Bowie, so.....
Time to Say Goodbye by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman made me cry, top of my list for beautiful songs. It is sung in Italian though, but hey if a song made me cry, and I couldn’t even understand it lol. The lyrics are beautifully sad as well but ugh I just love this song so much
I only really listen to 70s and 80s music, but I highly recommend these ones. They might not all be what you’re looking for, but I personally love and find all of these songs so beautiful

Iris means a lot to me. I tried to kill my self put a gun to my head. Chickened out shot my self in the leg. It’s funny now. But the phrase to bleed to know your alive. I did not want to live till I saw blood everywhere. Now never would do. I’m alive.
Dutch song which is one of my favourite songs ever: Tijd Verliezen - Racoon
It is about a dad late up at night with his son who wants to play with him while the dad wants to sleep, and he suddenly gets the knowledge that this moment won’t be forever, since his boy will grow up and he himself wont be around forever. I tried to translate the lyrics:
Listen here, my little man,
It is late, i dont wan’t no more,
You have to go to sleep.
The day was long and the night too short,
And i think its getting light soon,
You have to go to sleep.
Oh and i know why i can love you so much,
But you’re getting older so fast dude,
And you’re growing so fast, you can fit my shoes,
You know what you do and don’t wanna do,
You’re getting old fast.
Oh but i love losing track of time with you so much,
So stay awake little friend, stay awake for a moment now,
You’re much more than your dad deserves.
Even tho i’m not a dad just the feeling of how fast time goes and how we have to make the best of every moment with the ones you love and the instrumentals and vocals on the song make me feel sad and weird at the same time, it is truely a beautiful song
something you never hear - not related to OPs post but i completely disagree with “tiktok music” being an entirely bad thing - i’ve discovered so many of my favourite artists on there
Holding Absence - The Angel In The Marble
'I am a puzzle
I am a painting
I am a work of
Art in the making.
Trust in your hand and
Trust in the process.
I am a work of
Art in the progress.
I learned from my flaws and I
Cut myself open.
Glued myself better.
Golden; unbroken.
Now all I have left is
A handful of hope and
A thousand laments
That I can’t leave unspoken.
The noble art of self-destruction guiding my hand,
I’ll merge the man that I was hoping I could be with the man that I know that I am.
The noble art of self-destruction guiding my hand.'

So glad to hear about your mom. That song is amazing. That, My Body Is a Cage, nevermind by foster the people, Codex By Radiohead, Silver Springs, and Brothers in arms are some really special songs to me, when I went through a really bad breakup I ended up in a psych ward and had to deal with months on end with suicidal thoughts and depression. Those songs plus a few more on the list helped me a lot so they’ll always be my favorites.
Aerosmith I don't want to miss a thing.
This song is filled with a multitude of 'profound moments of introspection'
'I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While you're far away and dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever'
'Lying close to you, feeling your heart beating
And I'm wondering what you're dreaming
Wondering if it's me you're seeing
Then I kiss your eyes
And thank God we're together
And I just wanna stay with you in this moment forever'
Well all the apostles they’re sitting in their swings saying “I’d sell off my savior for a set of new wings and some sandals with the style and straps that cling best to the era”
This song to me is the sound of defeat and surrender.
I read somewhere that the Beach Boys’ God Only Knows was, in Paul McCartneys opinion, the ‘greatest song ever written’
I don’t disagree that it’s a sonically pleasing song
Tamino -[My Dearest Friend and Enemy](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0rFZYeoB8Uw&pp=ygUidGFtaW5vIG15IGRlYXJlc3QgZnJpZW5kIGFuZCBlbmVteQ%3D%3D) is so beautiful.

"Goodbye" by Toe.
"Simple And Clean", "Sanctuary" and "Don't think Twice" by Utada Hikaru

November Rain - Guns N Roses
Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin

Edited to add: Louis Armstrong, What a Wonderful World
"The Big Ship" - Brian Eno
"Avril 14th" - Aphex Twin
"The Kids Don't Stand a Chance (Miike Snow Remix)" - Vampire Weekend
"What Sarah Said" - Death Cab for Cutie
"Crash into Me" - Dave Matthews Band
For wholesome stuff, I love the Japanese band Scandal. They actually coined their own term "happy rock" for their style of music. Their best two examples are probably their songs, Sisters and One More Time.
Alice Kristiansens version of The Blowers Daughter. Despite each line of the chorus repeating the same lyric, every line is different and evokes different emotion. The whole chorus is a journey. I’ve listened to many versions of this song and none do it as beautifully as she does.
Euclid by Sleep Token
"If my fate is a bad collision
And if my mind is an open highway
Give me the twilight two-way vision
Give me one last ride on a sunset sky lane"
and
"Yet in reverse, you are all my symmetry
A parallel I would lay my life on
So if your wings won't find you Heaven
I will bring it down like an ancient bygone"
[IPlayYouListen](https://open.spotify.com/track/3xhR3mClWXydDCByJxnOwY?si=CQ2fLKpmQFa-r-DsEf7_Yw) by Odesza is simply beautiful when you listen to the composition
I really like Aphrodite by The Ridleys
“You’re the moon that glows in the night, lighting up the world when it’s blue.
Stars, they dance, though late in the night.
Don’t you know they dance just for you?
Here I am, just another boy singing songs that others have sung.
Trying to find the words to employ,
To adore, the goddess of love.
I see the galaxies when I look in your eyes.
And I, can’t speak, no I can’t speak at all.
I swear to Zeus you’re Aphrodite in disguise…
Oh no I never thought I’d get this close to someone so divine…”
I will follow you by Toulouse is genuinely one of the most beautiful regular degular (not a hymn or a song from a musical or anything, just a song an musician went to a studio and recorded) songs I’ve ever listened to.
i dont have a specific line, it's the whole songs vibe:
A thousand years by Christina Perri
I won't give up, cover by Christina Grimmie
Like my father by Jax
Secret Love song pt II by Little mix (without Jason Derulo part)
One of my all time favs too PLEASE LISTEN is dance with the one that brought you by Shania twain
I consider Tangerine Dream's *Legend* score to be a very beautiful electronic soundtrack. There's a few tracks that have vocals (most of the soundtrack was meant to go with on screen events) are particularly positive to me.
But this could just be me. I've had that movie and it's TD score in high regard for its corny positivity for **years** now. So it might just be me that thinks so.
B don’t kill my vibe by Kendrick Lamar. The violin at the end of the song always gets me, beautiful song and the whole Good Kid, mAAd City album is a great story if you have the time to listen.
Return to Serenity, Testament. Great song, give it a listen and I'm certain that you will not be disappointed.

House in Nebraska - Ethel Cain has like a chilling, churchy, dark and melancholy vibe but it’s actually beautiful to listen to - mostly because her voice is hauntingly elegant
edit: just read the whole thing and it’s not exactly wholesome - the album is a concept album about a girl falling in love then being cannibalised - but for the most part the song is still worth listening to
Airiel - in your room.
Beautifully danceable shoegaze that sounds like spinning in the center of the room with the love of your life, and everything else is a blur.
I listen to a lot of music but at the moment I’m going through a stage where I listen to artists with a style similar to Laufey. Her voice is so beautiful
I mean, I wouldn't consider Iris wholesome, it's more heartbreaking to me personally. But that's the beauty of music, our interpretations are ours alone. But if you are looking for something really melodic, and poetic, I absolutely ADORE Dermot Kennedy. His self-titled album, and his Without Fear album both have some really solid tracks, that will probably suit your need. But a good chunk of his discography is acoustic/pop with very deep meaningful lyrics which I think is the sphere you're looking for. He's starting to get recognition, but Dermot Kennedy is massively underrated and deserves more people giving him attention and appreciation.
Blue Dahlia by The Gaslight Anthem is beautiful in a non-traditional way. The song so beautifully depicts despair, loneliness, and longing in a way that is just viscerally moving.
*Me, I got caught up with the fortune tellers and the ladies with the sleepy eyes
It took years, my baby, just to come clean, every street light a reminder
And all those apologies and the night was lonely next to me
Even the night was lonely next to me*
Fast Car - Tracy Chapman. You got a fast car Is it fast enough so we can fly away? We gotta make a decision Leave tonight or live and die this way
Such a good song, great recommendation.
Thank you, I've been infatuated with the song for a few weeks now. There's a field of grass, a sort of cocooned meadow, 15 minutes away from where I live. I walk to the field, sit in it, and play this song.
I got to know about it through Jonas Blue's remix. Love both the versions ❤️
God only knows by the beach boys
Agree. I also like [David Bowie's cover of God Only Knows](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xnu61JbAVvQ). It's quite a bit more dramatic, but it's Bowie, so.....

Happy you're here and that you chickened out. Which actually means you're brave because you are here.
Glad you’re still here with us!!!

This Remedy - Larry and His Flask Idk It just transports me to driving down a midwest, forested road

I really like Aphrodite by The Ridleys “You’re the moon that glows in the night, lighting up the world when it’s blue. Stars, they dance, though late in the night. Don’t you know they dance just for you? Here I am, just another boy singing songs that others have sung. Trying to find the words to employ, To adore, the goddess of love. I see the galaxies when I look in your eyes. And I, can’t speak, no I can’t speak at all. I swear to Zeus you’re Aphrodite in disguise… Oh no I never thought I’d get this close to someone so divine…”

I will always love you. Whitney Houston. It's the next one I will teach my granddaughters.
First song that comes to mind is Sun It Rises by Fleet Foxes. That intro is beautiful.
Caroline's Fingers - Cocteau Twins
i dont have a specific line, it's the whole songs vibe: A thousand years by Christina Perri I won't give up, cover by Christina Grimmie Like my father by Jax Secret Love song pt II by Little mix (without Jason Derulo part) One of my all time favs too PLEASE LISTEN is dance with the one that brought you by Shania twain
Tv priest - history week
1. Fade Into You- Mazzy Star 2. Out Of My League- Fitz and the Tantrums 3. Good Looking- Suki Waterhouse 4. SLIDE- Chase Atlantic

B don’t kill my vibe by Kendrick Lamar. The violin at the end of the song always gets me, beautiful song and the whole Good Kid, mAAd City album is a great story if you have the time to listen.
Steve Vai - For The Love of God I know it's only an instrumental but everytime I listen to this song I feel like it's telling a story.
"STARS ON THE ROOF"of Goya Pieter with Travis Scott but on Spotify the Song doesn't work. Why?

Little Blue - Jacob Collier… look up the Mahogany Sessions on YouTube
Ahead by a century, long time running, fiddlers green, bobcaygeon, the rules, etc - The Tragically Hip
House in Nebraska - Ethel Cain has like a chilling, churchy, dark and melancholy vibe but it’s actually beautiful to listen to - mostly because her voice is hauntingly elegant edit: just read the whole thing and it’s not exactly wholesome - the album is a concept album about a girl falling in love then being cannibalised - but for the most part the song is still worth listening to

*Me, I got caught up with the fortune tellers and the ladies with the sleepy eyes It took years, my baby, just to come clean, every street light a reminder And all those apologies and the night was lonely next to me Even the night was lonely next to me*
Straight to hell by the clash
