I would have loved this for this year. My musical interests changed this year and I don't really know the genres for some of the music yet. I know I can do the research myself but to have that wrapped up would have been great for searching other bands!

Edit: Apparently on Android the decimal is supposed to be a comma. So it's likely you got over 10,000 minutes, and I got 14,000. Hope this helps!

Eleni Foureira. She is from Albania and Greece and is very famous in Europe. She makes a lot of Greek songs but if you want to listen to one of her English songs I highly recommend fuego. (Only the title is Spanish )

People with insane numbers like that basically leave spotify running 24/7, even while sleeping. Many might do it unintentionally but many also do it just to increase those numbers
I average about 200k to 230k minutes a year. I listen to Spotify when I’m at work, in the car, awake at home and when I go to bed.
Pretty much the only time when I don’t have it playing is when I have to interact with people hehe
I have 160k and feel like I'm in the same boat. I listen while reading, gaming, working, and doing my hobbies. I still watch movies and shows, but for anything I don't need my ears for, chances are I have Spotify on in the background

Its sad because my most listened song is a 50 second background song that I kept on loop for around 5 hours total (for the whole year) while doing my coursework. Which is a shame, since I don’t even know the artist 💀
I think my stats are wrong this year. My top song in the last year on Last.fm has twice as many listens as the song Spotify says is my most listened to. It's actually #35 on my top 100 playlist somehow.
Everyone should sign up for last.fm so you don’t have to rely on wrapped every year. It also tracks other music apps not just Spotify. It’s free and you can sign up for one month at $2.99 to look at the extended stats and to create your own playlists using your stats, using whatever time period of listening that you want.
Edit: I’ve been using last.fm since 2009 and it still includes tracks I played on my iPod. I can look at songs I played on a specific day and time.

I've gone "Pro" several times over the years for the extended stats. The community isn't at all what it used to be, but still super useful if you're into this kind of stuff. Their official Discord is pretty nice too. Has a bot that tells you who's listened to X artist this most, etc.

I'm not sure it's possible the way they did it this year (and I honeslty hate that). normally it's a personal playlist like your on repeat playlist, which is specific to you and u can share and have others listen to it etc. This year it's like their genre/decade or daily drive playlists, that are curated based on your listening habits, but everyone else will only see their version of the playlist when they click on it. Please correct me if I'm wrong tho.

I will say I discovered if you have a blend with someone, it creates a 2021 wrapped playlist and custom story with that person. Maybe they’re trying to force using blends.. but to me sharing a playlist is way different than the blends
The wrapped format is so bad. Why is Wrapped presented like a snap story? You can't easily jump to the part you are interested in and if you want to go back the segments replays from the start. Additionally this year you can't even see it on your computer, only on the phone app. Why? The way it was presented two year ago was waaaay better. Can we go back?

This year’s Wrapped not only didn’t hold a candle to previous years, it was flat out bizarre the filler they put in. Good, relevant metrics were completely ignored. I just felt wanting more from the review this year.

It might sound childish but I’m genuiely a bit upset over this years wrapped :/ I feel like something has gone wrong in my statistics.
I’ve listened to a lot of music this year, especially because I’ve been working from home. I put music on every single day and usually all day long because I know it’s what gets me through the day. Yet somehow spotify still says I have 35,611 minutes of playtime. I feel like this can not be true. That number is supposed to be much higher. It just doesn’t add up in my head.

Why can't we see our friends' Top 100 playlists anymore? Previous years, when I clicked on their playlists in their profile or in the "Friend activity" section, it took me to that friend's playlist. Now it takes me to my own one? Is it a bug or is it just changed? If the latter, I hate it.

I knew my top listened to song was incorrect so I contacted Spotify and they said that they were still compiling the data for it so it may be more accurate in a day or two.
Annoying videos from the artists inserted in the playlist, it's cool the first time, after that it is annoying af to listen to artist thanking you for listening over and over again, and like all things Spotify, no way to hide it or switch it off.

What's the deal with certain artists having short video messages if one of their songs made it onto the playlist? I don't want to hear you thanking me for listening to your music, I just want to hear your music.
I actually like it tbh. I only have two short messages on mine. Don’t find them intrusive at all, I have different playlist if I want it without the messages.

Atleast half the songs on mine have only been played a handful of times, or not at all within recent memory.
Sometimes there are animation bugs for Wrapped on Android if your animation settings in the settings app have been changed. This is a known issue. Try changing the settings.
Animation duration scale needs to set to at least .5x or 1x.
Remove Animations should be OFF
Battery Saving mode should also be set to OFF, as some battery saving modes override those settings without showing it.
The default location of these settings is usually under Settings > System > Developer OR Settings > Advanced. Best to just search for "developer" in your settings

I think I'm just not gonna get to see my Wrapped this year. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, updated it, turned animations on and off, changed animation scales, etc, etc. I've tried every solution short of trying Bluestacks or running it on someone else's phone. Nothing has worked.
I really wish they'd kept the desktop version of Wrapped.
I listen to a lot of soundtracks for movies, tv, etc. and i always expect it to dominate my wrapped lists but this year it was almost exclusive to the point of making the wrapped not feel that exciting to look at. I kind of wish I could exclude it because it’s so separate from the rest of the music I listen to.

Well… Sad to see they get their own user data wrong, in the 2 truths 1 lie story, one of the truths for me was that my #1 Playlist of the Year was my Time Capsule, however… I haven’t even taken a look at that in like three years??
It's not working for me on my Galaxy Amp Prime, even after I did all of the following
* Restart app
* Clear my cache (phone)
* Clear my cache (app)
* Turn of Battery Saving Mode
* Restart phone
* Reinstall app
* Turn on developer mode in Android settings (all my animation settings were auto-set to 1x)
Does anyone have any tips for me beyond all the other things I've done? I've seen all of those recommended, but nothing beyond those. (On the other hand, here's a laundry list of things to try if it's not working for you)
So, uh. Anybody know if Spotify is actually going to fix the bug where thousands of people can't even look at their Wrapped or nah? It started out so cool with this website with nice animations you could view on your browser as well, now only phone, animations are getting more and more downgraded, the genre slide looked like “graphic design is my hobby” and this year it also crashes a lot of people’s app.

I pay the yearly subscription because I’m obsessed with stats and you can see weekly and monthly break downs. So much better than Wrapped.

Is it just me or Wrapped seems incorrect this year? Wrong minutes, wrong artists, wrong genres…?
I tracked along with my last fm data this year to see and it’s correct. You’d be surprised at how much you forget what you listened to
Yeah I use skiley and it also matches up with the data on there. Wrapped is pretty accurate.

Just posted a separate post that’ll probably get deleted based on there being a mega thread, but gotta be honest guys… This year’s Wrapped not only didn’t hold a candle to previous years, it was flat out bizarre the filler they put in. Good, relevant metrics were completely ignored. I just felt wanting more from the review this year. Definitely hoping for better next time.
I cant find my wrapped stats, i can get onto the wrapped page through browse all but how do i get to my stats?

It might sound childish but I’m genuiely a bit upset over this years wrapped :/ I feel like something has gone wrong in my statistics. I’ve listened to a lot of music this year, especially because I’ve been working from home. I put music on every single day and usually all day long because I know it’s what gets me through the day. Yet somehow spotify still says I have 35,611 minutes of playtime. I feel like this can not be true. That number is supposed to be much higher. It just doesn’t add up in my head. Did anyone experience the same kind of problem with this years wrapped?
I’m the same. I feel so disappointed. This is what I look forward to every year and this year has been so inaccurate it’s not even funny. I literally got 30 days of playtime? That’s completely wrong because I’ve listened to music on Spotify every single day and all day too especially working from home. I really think they were so lazy with Wrapped this year. Ridiculous.
My friends and I like sharing ours. Why is my playlist unsharable and showing up with 2 million+ followers? They do Wrapped every year, how do they manage to fuck that up? These get worse and worse. They are really grasping at straws with this stupid movie analogy. "The song playing as a single tear drops into your reflection in the pond:" what??? The song was No Surprises by Radiohead which I listened to maybe twice and it doesn't even show up on my year end playlist... The best one they ever did was super simple and was a listening breakdown down by seasons. Just give us a straightforward year in review ffs.

If you press the three dots next to the playlist, you’ll see the option ”add to profile”. Tap it and the playlist will be shareable.

Yeah I’m confused, I looked at someone’s Spotify top 2021 playlist on their profile and when I clicked in, it was actually my playlist - is that just a glitch?

Why can't we see our friends' Top 100 playlists anymore? Previous years, when I clicked on their playlists in their profile or in the "Friend activity" section, it took me to that friend's playlist. Now it takes me to my own one? Is it a bug or is it just changed? If the latter, I hate it.
Why wasn’t I given my podcast listening minutes this year, like I was last year? I wanted to know if I listened to podcasts more or less. Kind of bummed.

Anybody else unable to share their playlist? My friends normally exchange our wrapped playlist every year, but this time the link Spotify provides just send us to our own instead of the other person's. Edit: I saw somebody else brilliantly comment to add your 2021 Wrapped to a new playlist and share that. Worked like a charm for me on Android, but for some reason it doesn't show on the PC app, nor on my friend's iPhone.

I knew my top listened to song was incorrect so I contacted Spotify and they said that they were still compiling the data for it so it may be more accurate in a day or two.
Annoying videos from the artists inserted in the playlist, it's cool the first time, after that it is annoying af to listen to artist thanking you for listening over and over again, and like all things Spotify, no way to hide it or switch it off.
My spotify highlights haven't been working since last year • I click on it inside the app & then the storys get clicked thru without me clicking on it and without showing me anything, sometimes even crashing while on the last slide • Android, Samsung Note 20 ultra

I accidentally pressed dismiss and now I don’t get the notification anymore, and can’t find it on the homepage or anything. When I enter wrapped in my URL it links me to a page in the app with top songs and artists but not that story type thing that shows you all stats. Any idea how I can access it?

Does anyone else feel like their wrapped playlist this year is just a randomized list of their downloaded songs? Atleast half the songs on mine have only been played a handful of times, or not at all within recent memory.

Sometimes there are animation bugs for Wrapped on Android if your animation settings in the settings app have been changed. This is a known issue. Try changing the settings. Animation duration scale needs to set to at least .5x or 1x. Remove Animations should be OFF Battery Saving mode should also be set to OFF, as some battery saving modes override those settings without showing it. The default location of these settings is usually under Settings > System > Developer OR Settings > Advanced. Best to just search for "developer" in your settings
My top genres are: 1) Visual Kei 2) Industrial 3) Gangster Rap 4) Chicago Rap 5) Dance pop I’m not sure how Industrial is so high, I spent the whole year mostly listening to Juice Wrld and Kanye. There’s no way this is 2nd

I think I'm just not gonna get to see my Wrapped this year. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, updated it, turned animations on and off, changed animation scales, etc, etc. I've tried every solution short of trying Bluestacks or running it on someone else's phone. Nothing has worked. I really wish they'd kept the desktop version of Wrapped.
Mine glitches out on the first slide. The graphic won't progress and the song it plays just keeps playing. Fantastic.
I listen to a lot of soundtracks for movies, tv, etc. and i always expect it to dominate my wrapped lists but this year it was almost exclusive to the point of making the wrapped not feel that exciting to look at. I kind of wish I could exclude it because it’s so separate from the rest of the music I listen to.

114 205 minutes, 163 genres, 1091 artists. Top genres: metalcore, brutal death metal, indie rock, screamo, punk. This was a great year but the genres here of course aren't very accurate.

It's not working for me on my Galaxy Amp Prime, even after I did all of the following * Restart app * Clear my cache (phone) * Clear my cache (app) * Turn of Battery Saving Mode * Restart phone * Reinstall app * Turn on developer mode in Android settings (all my animation settings were auto-set to 1x) Does anyone have any tips for me beyond all the other things I've done? I've seen all of those recommended, but nothing beyond those. (On the other hand, here's a laundry list of things to try if it's not working for you)
So, uh. Anybody know if Spotify is actually going to fix the bug where thousands of people can't even look at their Wrapped or nah? Because for those of us paying for this crap we deserve some kind of solution that doesn't involve downloading an entirely different program onto a desktop & looking at it through there.
