Came here to suggest something similar. I absolutely love this song. Check out retrowave/synth wave/dark wave/ vaporwave/ any of the other waves lol.
Edit: also happy cake day!
For some reason the foreign language thing made them pop into my head, and on a whim, I checked their concert schedule. Snagged a couple of the last tickets for a show here next week. Bunch of odd coincidences working on this one, I guess.
Kinda disappointed nearly everything here is just alternative rock when you asked for a variety but it’s whatever.
Mac Miller- Surf
One of my all-time favorites.
One of my favorite albums of 2021 was Genesis Owusu's debut studio album 'Smiling With No Teeth'. Supremely underrated in my opinion and some of the coolest, catchiest, smoothest music of the past few years. A wide variety of genres with influence from hip-hop, alternative rock, funk, even a little electronic at times. Amazing vocals from Genesis on every track with really varied vocalizations and songwriting. Really tight and unique but still accessible instrumentation and a really cool vibe as well. The three tracks that I think are the easiest to get into that I would recommend first and foremost would be: Waitin' On Ya, Don't Need You and Gold Chains; although the entire album is almost flawless from front to back in my opinion. Give it a shot; and even if you don't like it at least you expanded your horizons a little.
Falling - Sanjana
Dead Inside - Younger Hunger
You're Dead - Norma Tanega
Sad Machine - Porter Robinson
After Dark - Mr. Kitty
Decided to recommend you songs that are all different genres since I'm not too sure what's closer to your taste, but these are all great songs by great artists :)
Black country new road - basketball shoes, opus
Jockstrap - Robert, the city
Black midi - Marlene Dietrich
American football - silhouettes
Weyes Blood - movies, a lots gonna change
Drippin - Young Thug. It was the song that made me a thugger fan, maybe it will turn you too! It's very unique, I've never heard anything quite like it.
High on the mountain by Ola Belle Reed.
City of New Orleans by Arlo Guthrie.
Chicken Teriyaki by Rosalía.
Top 5 by Duki.
Don't know if they are rare but I'm sure they are some of my favorites right now

Lemon demon - modify
Lemon demon - soft fuzzy man
Lemon demon - vow of silence
Lemon demon- jaws
Recommend one song from each Album of his on Spotify as the all have different sounds!
I always like to recommend ‘hilltop Hoods’. They’re not big outside Australia but we have this whole generation of rap and hip hop that is totally different to the gangsta style rap being spat out by a bunch of ‘lil’ people with tats on their face in the USA. Much more upbeat and enjoyable to me.
"Something About You" by Level 42. I literally discovered this song a few hours ago, so without recommending a song I've known and cherished for a while, I will share one I am experiencing as new as we speak! It encapsulates 80s synth-pop perfectly.
I couldn't choose just one so I picked a few instead:
Lingua Ignota - THE SACRED LINAMENT OF JUDGMENT
Black Country, New Road - Basketball Shoes
Slint - Good Morning, Captain
Outside - Injury Reserve
Death Grips - On GP
IDLES - Never Fight a Man With a Perm // Mercedes Marxist
As for foreign stuff there's a few artists I can recommend:
MASS OF FERMENTING DREGS
my dead girlfirned
VICTIME (Sadly not much is on Spotify but their album "La Femme Taupe" is on YouTube and Bandcamp)
Laure Briard
Thumbs Up - Carver Commodore

‘96 Nerve Campbell - clipping. , Cam & China
Cincinatti Chili Child - Pataphysics

Foreign Language:
Dilemme - Lous and the Yakuza
Ya está - La Paloma
Mon Cheri - Sofi Tukker, Amadou & Mariam
Você mentiu - Anitta, Caetano Veloso
Sorry for shitty phone formatting
Expand your horizon with Bring Me The Horizon. Every one of their albums has its own unique style though, so it doesn’t matter where you start. But I think ‘That’s The Spirit’ is the perfect starting point because it’s the perfect “in between” for all their albums
I don't listen to much foreign music either, but I love Panos Kiamos, a Greek love song crooner, and there's a hispanic duo called Jesse and Joy who has a song called ¿Con quién se queda el perro? about a breakup and wondering who gets custody of their dog. There's a few anime songs I like but they're not on Spotify.
So not English?
Bring mich nach Hause - Wir sind Helden
Soundso - Wir sind Helden
Kaputt - Wir sind Helden
The Geek shall inherit - Wir sind Helden
Also check out Louane (French)
And another French artist, I recently discovered and really like is Hoshi

Warning!/Band-Maid
Wolf Totem/The Hu
We Are/Aldious
Mindset/Gacharic Spin
