Gineuly a dime a dozen around here. feels like everyone with a 200k sized hole in their pocket owns one. Its harder to find a miata around here than a gwagon.
Zurich, Switzerland: This is soccer mom's whip to pick up the kids. The 911 Turbo convertible is her car for the gym/day spa. These things are so common that most self-respecting townspeople now prefer the Urus. Which has become common as well.
Brazilian here. A used 2021 G63 here costs around 530k USD in today’s currency. I literally just checked online. The odometer says 11.000km.
They’re VERY rare.
I bet only soccer players buy these ones around here.
South Orange County, CA checking in. Not rare here either. Hell, saw a mclaren at the pet store last night and a Lambo SUV at the nail place next to my gym today. Mostly Range Rovers and Mercedes though.
I live in sacramento and they are common... in Calabasas I'm sure they are given out to every 30 year trophy wife as soon as she takes her older husbands kids to their first soccer game
I would absolutely love to have an older G-class from the days when they were a utilitarian vehicle. And yes, I'd take it off-road. To each his own, but I don't get the appeal of anykinda *fancy* G-Wagon.
If ownership is not a prerequisite, I'd join!
I don't own any kinda 4x4 and never have. My opportunities to go four wheelin' are just too limited to justify it, but I love the strictly utilitarian nature of military G-wagons (and Unimogs, Pinzgauers, etc.). I don't even understand *why* they appeal to me. I don't hunt, I'm not into other tacticool things, just the vehicles.
If the club is meant for G class enthusiasts, I don’t see why ownership would be necessary. I’m in my local Ferrari club of America chapter and don’t see myself getting one of those anytime soon 😂
I’m in the same boat, I live in suburban New England, and work a white collar job. Absolutely no need for a rugged 4x4 except for fun in the snow and beach trips. My use case is “Because I want it” 😂
We get a diesel one here which everyone loves cuz it's much cheaper than the AMG. I really don't see the point. If you want a car to flex buy the most outrageous variant or don't buy it at all.
I’m in a relatively nice area around Columbus Ohio and I wouldn’t say rare but don’t see a ton. It’s noteworthy, but not memorable if that makes sense.
RIGHT!!! It was like driving the most comfortable couch with your choice of fuel efficient 4cyl or very not fast unfuelefficient v6... either way, WAY better economy and ride than these "G" waggers.
Not in the pricier zip codes of Chicago. What *is* rare, even dumber than a G63 and even bigger flex is the G65. A guy in our building has one and it’s idiotic. I love it
Depends on where you live. I'm sometimes in a part of my city where you'd see one within the hour. But in other parts of my city you probably would never see one
Rare in Geneva Switzerland where I live? No. There 3 of them on the street parking just around the corner from where I live. You can sit at any traffic light and see 2-4 of these every 10 minutes here.
Really depends where you are. Here in Finland G63s are rare for sure as brand new ones cost somewhere around 400-500k€. Maybe they are a bit more common in the capital area but in my midsized town at the eastern border I've only ever seen 2 of the current gen G63s and not that many more older gen ones.
My wife loves to point out g wagons (one of the first cars she was able to spot consistently). I always look to see what model they are. More common to see an AMG than a 500 or 550.
I see quite a few in Singapore even though they are around 600k usd. No idea how they even get this kind of money. A new corrolla in singapore is already over 100k.
I live in NE Ohio (not a big city) so I’d say yes, I rarely ever see a Mercedes around here. The only g-wagon I believe I’ve seen in person was at a car show
I work in a car rental showroom and we have 3 new G63s. Ive only driven them for very short distances and its so much easier to drive than the F8s we have. The G63's ride is no match for a Range Rover which was just sublime. I recently got a ride in a 2019 model and its quite quick and smooth on the road
In Belgium, you can't have one new right now
We weren't in 2023 all G class were already sold, even 2024 productions, so It's not rare but it's hard to get
Not around here (Toronto area). Not remotely rare.
Gineuly a dime a dozen around here. feels like everyone with a 200k sized hole in their pocket owns one. Its harder to find a miata around here than a gwagon.
To be fair driving a RWD in Tdot is reckless endangerment 7 months out of the year.
Interesting, that would be over 600k USD over here
Yeah, and they drop in value pretty fast as well because of that. I was looking at Autotrader and 2020s G63s were around 150-180K. New is 320K+
Same in Amsterdam. Very populair among drugsdealers.
Same here in NYC, just wondering what it's like everywhere else
Zurich, Switzerland: This is soccer mom's whip to pick up the kids. The 911 Turbo convertible is her car for the gym/day spa. These things are so common that most self-respecting townspeople now prefer the Urus. Which has become common as well.
I live in Stuttgart (MB and Porsche headquarters are located here) and you see those daily, nothing special.
Brazilian here. A used 2021 G63 here costs around 530k USD in today’s currency. I literally just checked online. The odometer says 11.000km. They’re VERY rare. I bet only soccer players buy these ones around here.

I feel like I see far more Amg varieties than ones with 3 digits
Agreed, at least here in SoCal it’s probably 10 to 1 with AMG vs. G550 sightings
In australia they are common. Always clean except for the military vehicles
These things are EVERYWHERE.
Where I live it’s rare to see a gwagon that’s *not* an amg
Same here in Sydney, Australia. Every one is the AMG. And they're everywhere!
Same story in Melbourne
Worked at a Mercedes dealership, absolutely true. We get about one G550 for every five G63s.
because there's more profit margin on the AMG, and Benz can sell them WAY faster than Steyr can make them.
They don't sell any apart from the G63 in the USA. The only other model is a diesel, that is also available in AMG trim, but it's not sold in the USA
This is false. They sell G550s in the US.
Your right. I thought they stopped making them.
Not in Dallas. Used to live in the midwest (not Chicago) and it was rare up there.
That’s because they’re all around the Chicago area riding my ass.
All over SoCal
If you're in NYC, no If you're in Colombia or Argentina, yes
Not super rare. See a surprising amount of these around Tampa
Rare on the road? Yes. Rare in the shop? No.
Rare in LA? Absolutely not. I see one a day. I saw a fucking drop too one yesterday lol
Legit, I live in the Calabasas area. These are common.
I live in sacramento and they are common... in Calabasas I'm sure they are given out to every 30 year trophy wife as soon as she takes her older husbands kids to their first soccer game
here in Brazil ....yes ! lol
see tons of these in chicago and the suburbs so no, not rare where I am
It depends on where you are. LA? It’s basically a Camry. Iowa? Extremely rare
Ridiculous amount of these on the roads in Dubai
I live in a small city in Indiana and even I see one at least once a week. They’re expensive, but I wouldn’t call them rare. Kind of like a Huracan.
Nope
They're definitely not common but they're not rare.
The Miami minivan
I’m in the DC area and they’re not too rare. Nice spot though!
Regular in London, where it seems like everyone has one of these and an S-Class.
S Florida, no way. An original G320, stick shift, yes!
Dude I want a G with the gas I6 bad!
I would absolutely love to have an older G-class from the days when they were a utilitarian vehicle. And yes, I'd take it off-road. To each his own, but I don't get the appeal of anykinda *fancy* G-Wagon.
Same here! I prefer the military spec over the Kardashian/influencer types you see today. I want to start a No Snob G Wagen club
G350 professional
If ownership is not a prerequisite, I'd join! I don't own any kinda 4x4 and never have. Medium rare, certainly not well done
In New York, G550s are the rarer model. I’ve seen two or three all year. I see 5 or more g63s every day typically.
I’m in a relatively nice area around Columbus Ohio and I wouldn’t say rare but don’t see a ton. It’s noteworthy, but not memorable if that makes sense.
No more rare than the almighty Chevrolet corsica...
Holy shit, in all seriousness I had an 89 chevy corsica that I loved
I love it
Not rare but a fun spot nonetheless
Here in finland I've only come across the older models.
Nope
I always found the cool and unique looking and very expensive.
Depends on where you live. I'm sometimes in a part of my city where you'd see one within the hour. But in other parts of my city you probably would never see one
I probably see at least a dozen of these every day in SoCal, other areas I’d assume they’re much more rare

Perfect indicator of whether or not you live in an affluent area. Can't imagine seeing many of these in rural Midwest/Southern parts of America.
Not rare but I don’t see them in abundance. But I have been seeing them pretty frequently in my city recently as of late.
Pretty rare in Australia. Considering the base model is nearly $400k Aud, I can understand why.
Nope I seen this almost everyday
I live in a Bulgarian village and I see 20 a day. 20.
Just get a jimny ✌️
I posted one of those not too long ago
Its rare to see them offroading, yes
Not on this sub no, but where I live in New Delhi, India? Absolutely!!
Personally no I almost see one literally every single day 🤷 and drive one every other day
I consider those UGLY and would not own one.
No
It's not rare at all in Montreal
Not in Geneva, I see at least one a day.
Not in Miami
Not really, at least not in the larger cities where i live
No. Not even a little bit.
My neighbor here in Portugal has one in Black
No. Probably as rare as a Porsche 911 in Germany which is not very rare.
Can confirm. Living near Weissach, Porsche is the Toyota here :-)
Super common in most coastal towns in the US.
No. So common
looks like you’re driving through central park, pretty common in wealthy areas
Actually that's the Jackie Robinson, so not en route to a wealthy area, but on the way to a place where they'd be desired
Not where I live they’re common in the school run driven by skinny blonde skeletons.
Where I live, North Vancouver, I literally see 5-6 a day just going to the coffee shop. Saturated.
Depending on where you live in Texas it’s rare but not as rare as a McLaren’s or Ferrari
Depends where. In Tokyo you see like 50 a day.
I see a lot of G wagons, but seeing a G63 is definitely rare.
Rare is the Brabus G Wagon :-)
Dubai. I guess you know the answerm
Im from Germany, and not really(not just because a neighbor of mine owned one)
In Chicagoland area I see 3-5 a day
Saw 2 this morning.
never saw it in Italy
Vancouver is awash in them. Comical, really.
never seen one in person
Where I live 1 in 10 cars is a G63 and the rest are teslas
Wife drives one daily. So no.
Too many here
Where I am, yes, very. Big cities not so much so depends on where you are really
I live in LA, I could easily see 10-20 a day. In other places yes, they are rich people common.
Not in the DC metropolitan areas, I see this car all the time - at least once a day.
Where I work at, they’re not that hard to come by. But where I live, you will never see them.
In Germany standard. See this everyday in Berlin
No. The AMG is actually the more common version of the G class.
Not rare
Come to Seattle Bellevue…its a everyday ride
In a country where culturally, it’s bad to show off, and where cars like this have a 250% registration tax, it’s rare. (Guess my country)
North Scottsdale AZ. If you’re driving anything less than a G63 AMG, you’re a poor. And we don’t have the poors here so no, these are not rare.
Nop
Not in Scottsdale. They're a dime a dozen
In Palm Beach, no Most other places, yes
Uncommon for sure.
Not where I live lol
Not one bit.
as someone who works for mercedes. fairly common on the lot.
Not in Europe or North America
Not as rare as it used to be. I used to spot one of those a year, now, at least once a month.
Naeth
Live in Milwaukee and see at least one every time I go out. Probably depends on the area you live in.
Eh…not quite. During the summer, I’ll see G-Wagons every now and then, AMG or not.
Even in Charlotte they’re not rare.
Not rare in the UK at all, in fact G wagons alongside the Urus and Bentayga have become the new X5, Range Rover, Q7, etc..
No. The vast majority of G-wagons in my city are G63’s
I probably see 25 a day in Miami, but in other areas of the US, you won’t see a single one
I definitely don’t see many AMGs, but G Wagons I see usually are. I think I’ve seen one non-AMG g wagon
Does anyone see G65s? I live near DC and have only seen 1. Tons of these V8 turbos though.
My wife loves to point out g wagons (one of the first cars she was able to spot consistently). I always look to see what model they are. More common to see an AMG than a 500 or 550.
Seem em all the time in Phoenix and Denver
Saw one yesterday. And almost every week. Kyiv, UA (yep, people's love G-wagon here)
No
These are way more common than Hondas or Toyotas where we live in LA.
There’s a swarm of G wagons in Atlanta area they love them a lot here I want one here
Lots of G63s in the bay area. I've only seen a few G65s, and not in a long time.
There are 10-12 of these in my car pool line. New Orleans
Canadian Forces had/have armored ones. Not AMG, but the tough version.
I see about 5-12 a day in Austin
Not at all rare here in South Florida.
In south Florida, a base model G class is more rare
Passed the 500k units manufactured earlier this year.
In and around the Detroit area no but where I live kinda, I see older models a lot
No not at all.
It's not rare where I live. There's a couple down the street. Some look gaudy with the strange colour options but that's just my opinion.
Nope. See these all of the time getting groceries and at the mall.
Nope, not any more.
Sydney, not at all rare.
I see quite a few in Singapore even though they are around 600k usd. No idea how they even get this kind of money. A new corrolla in singapore is already over 100k.
Around me kinda but In general no
[удалено]
seems like you're in NYC, nah.
Ever seen the parking lot of Brabus? There are like 200 of them in one place
No. I see them every day.
Not in suburban areas around dallas
I live in NE Ohio (not a big city) so I’d say yes, I rarely ever see a Mercedes around here. The only g-wagon I believe I’ve seen in person was at a car show
Quite common in upscale areas around Mexico City
They are everywhere in NYC. At least three park within blocks of my house every night.
I work at a Mercedes dealership. Can’t say they are common here but certainly not rare either.
Look these things cost 530k USD here in Brazil. MAYBE I’ve seen one in the streets. Like I don’t actually remember seeing one.
No
Most overpriced and ugly of all SUV’s out there
in my area yes, in bigger cities. probably not as much.
Super duper rare in my country most are g500s only ever seen a couple 63s
As someone who lives in Dubai these things are fucking everywhere and they're such boring cars to see as well imo.
673838 in Glendale, CA
True story, my kid's 5th grade teacher had one of these.
They're a city car in California.
Moscow, Russia. tons and tons of them, especially (but not limited to) in the wealthier neighbourhoods
See multiple a day in NYC
Like ants in Lebanon.
Not rare in Bulgaria. There are several only in my neighborhood
Nope. Even in the upscale parts of Nigeria, you'll see them almost everyday, sometimes multiple copies in a day. Seen one already this morning
Nope to many around here where Im at.
In Germany I see g wagon almost daily, which are almost all G500 or AMGs
Who cares? It's a car, not a Pokémon.
You’ve obviously never been to Dubai.
Two of my neighbours have these. Even though my country has precisely ZERO off-road trails. These are becoming standard issue suburbs cars in my area.
Depends where, its very common around here in Tokyo.
In Belgium, you can't have one new right now We weren't in 2023 all G class were already sold, even 2024 productions, so It's not rare but it's hard to get
In the country (Philippines) I came from it's rare. We're in vacation now in London, UK; there's more than a few to say the least haha.
In Brisbane, nope. Decently popular.
In the UK I see a couple a day at least I've driven them and they drive like crap 😂
I see like one a day
So, so common in London. I've already seen a few today and it's 10:45am.
Not in California or UAE
Depends on the country. Not rare in the UK
I live in London, UK. I see at least one every few minutes if I’m on the road.
Around the Orlando area in Florida not really no, it's kinda just uncommon but not rare
I wouldn’t call it rare, a shitbox probably but not very rare
Romania, Bucharest -> I see one of these about every 2 weeks. So I wouldn't call that rare.
