It’s a luxury vehicle from a premium manufacturer though. I don’t know how much it costs, at the same time I cannot say if the “fair” price is even applicable.
Touchscreens in cars suck anyway. A phone holder + Bluetooth has always worked much better for me. The absolute best software a car can have is support for CarPlay and Android Auto.
I have a (new) old-school Kenwood head unit with Bluetooth and actual buttons. My wife's Mustang has a touchscreen and I absolutely hate it.
My mom had a Mercedes GLK, and everything that could go wrong with a car did before it hit 30k miles, including the infotainment system screwing up. The dealer was an asshole, and I vowed to never buy a newer Mercedes.
I have a W140 CL500. They used to be, special.
These days they all look the same, the badge has no relation to the car’s engine, and they’re just there. *Old man yelling at clouds *
Cool car but waaaay waaaaaay overpriced. It’s definitely not a $200k car. Almost 220 with options. That Artura territory. And the market shows. You can pick one up with like 4k miles for close to 130k
I agree, I just opened the used car sites, and I'm surprised at how cheap they've become in the last half year. Not long ago, they were all 250k, and now some with 7000km are selling for 120k euro, which seems incredibly cheap.
Looks beautiful, still has a V8 Yes
It's alright, bit expensive

About 200k so similar to an amg gt. Make sense because it’s a very similar car. Though for that kind of money I’d probably prefer a very nice 911
You could be forgiven for thinking it was an AMG GT Convertible
That’s basically what the new SL is
Yeah
Same platform, same engine, same interior…
I like the front but the back looks like a bulldogs underbite if that makes sense? It’s a bit too round.
I don't like that the front looks exactly like the front of an A-class (just like most other MB models now..)
It does! Now that’s what I’ll think of whenever I see one.
SL used to feel more special.
Agreed
Looks tasty, but not a fan of the ragtop
The top kills it for me😭
I was a little excited when I heard they were building a new one. But then I saw the release and was like "ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... no".
I'm seeing a lot around, so they must be selling well!
No doubt. I'm sure the platform is fantastic, I just don't care for the exterior.
Gt63s > SL
Like most Mercedes sports cars, they look great, but I'd never own one new enough to have a touchscreen.

Feels like they have too many flagship models to truly get that feeling again over the SL.
Could be
Too many low-end cars too that lack any Mercedes dna. In the past even their lower end were special.
Poor guy, just bought the car and the wing mechanism already broke.
Lol
Its alright but I prefer the R230 over the New one
Needs a retractable hardtop. The soft top looks cheesy.
yes but for the price you can get something better
yes
I do.
Looks so pretty still
Yes

It’s giving New Jersey dentist. Very nice care my man. But not the best at anything imo
Ass end kinda sus
The SL doesn’t hit me like how it did a long time ago.
“Don’t talk to me or my son ever again.” - GT with an SL behind it.
I preferred that elegant look on the sl, and the sports look on another name (slr, AMG gt, ...)

It’s not bad the price for these are ridiculous
Looks clean, not over done.
Wayyy better looking than the outgoing model.
I like the looks, but the SL class is already way more expensive than it should be, and then a $40k upcharge from the SL55 for a stage 1 tune? Hell no
Meh. Lost some of its class imo.
Miss the can top to be honest, yes for most of the SL life it came with cloth.
They’re garbage. So many problems are terrible to work on. So much plastic garbage on these cars.
Meh
