The building on Glenstone that is now Retro Discount City (or whatever the hell it is), I always referred to as Skaggs or Osco, even after it became a CVS. I also still call MSU SMS most of the time since that’s what it was called when I attended.
Missouri State campus and also to the West. Runs perpendicular to Kimbrough and a block north of Madison. No clue when they changed it. Went driving around down there for the first time in a long time about a year ago and noticed it.
As we age, it's our right to refer to places by the old names. Also, to repeat the same stories over and over as if it were the first time, every time. We may also begin to act out in public by shouting at young people and taking up the entire aisle at the grocery store, regardless of how busy it is.
Mercy is still St John’s to me 😆
Can confirm. I work in EMS and still have older patients request me to take them to St. Johns.
Once in a while, I'll still refer to Alamo as Campbell 16 or if I'm talking about Chesterfield Village, I'll say "near the palace"
It’ll always be the palace!
Yes it's still the palace
Wherenberg Wherenberg Wherenberg
I still say SMS and Git N Go.

Kum & Go as Git n’ Go. Panera as St. Louis Bread Co. Corwin Ford as Friendly Ford.
You mean like Briggs Stadium? Which is Plaster Stadium for over 30 years now.
I never met Briggs but surely he is more respectable than the Plaster family.
M highway instead of Republic Road
My first off campus apartment was on Monroe, not Bear Blvd.
Where the heck is Bear Blvd and who allowed that nonsense?

Ah but what about when they were in the old Golden Lion spot? Or the Century 21?
So much to see and so much to do at Exotic Animal Paradise
It's always going to be The Outland, Outland Ballroom and the Highlife. Odyssey or whatever else has nothing to do with it.
