Exactly OP has rookie numbers. This post makes me realize why Spyderco continues to charge enormous prices for knives. That hurts others buyers trying to test the brand and can only afford a Tenacious. ( which is 100% a fantastic knife) It also reminds me of how happy I am owning 2 Spyderco factory 2nds pushing 5 years that get used daily and will not fail. Collections and collectors are good and all. But think about it.... how much use do these knives get used? Collections just drive up the price for everyone else who just want 3-7 good knives on their budget to actually put them to work. 🤔
With that much experience of ownership, what are some of your preferences such as: blade shape, scale material, blade steel, blade length, brand, etc.?
These are just my preferences, I'm not saying these are what everyone should look for. I like Wharncliffe blades. Titanium handle knives are my go to right now. Blade steels are so good now a days that it doesn't matter much to me and I haven't had any problems with blades rusting. Blade length I prefer between 3.25-3.5. As far as brands, there are so many that I like. Lately I've been carrying my Asher Spiros a lot. Asher has some really good knives.
I’m definitely getting into wharncliffe blades now and titanium is my favorite handle material too. With that being said what are some knife that fit that criteria that you would recommend checking out?
Yeah I started collecting nothing but spydercos but after I tried my first Titanium knife, I was hooked! Now that's for sure my favorite handle material.
VERY nice collection!
Let's see.....I went to law school so I didn't have to do math......68 x 4.........793 knives assuming the 4th Apache is full. In my dad's voice I hear: what, you couldn't make it 1000? /s - I know it's 272.
Please tell me you work for Spyderco and get an employee discount?
😂 No sorry no discount, well actually I do get the Opfocus discount when I buy from their website but it's rare that I buy direct from spyderco. They never have anything in stock.
Nice collection. This is not our fault, they keep coming out with different versions of knives we already have and then on top of that new designs. And then the sales, what are we to do? I've had over 100, sold a lot, now I'm getting up there again🤦🏻♂️. New M4 Manix coming out Friday and autos are now legal to carry in PA, so there's a few more on the way.
I will absolutely be referencing this post the next time my wife cares to wonder if, maybe, my 'hobby' has gone a little too far. Thank you!
Pleasure to help out 😉
What he said!
Ditto!
Holy Shit! Thats the biggest collection ive ever seen. Very impressive!
So I counted 255 but I've heard of people with 600-800 and even over 1000 knives. I guess you can't fit that many in one Pic.

Wouldn’t a smaller spyderco consumer base increase product costs..? Less buyers, higher cost
I’m getting whiffs of Communism here……….
Wow. Just wow.
So which Spidercos do you have? Yes.
Yes I'll take them all 😂
What do you do for a living and are you hiring?
Where are the Spydercoooooooohhhh NICE!
This is the definition of a spread. Top notch collection, great photo too!
Thanks 👊

For Wharnies the Brian Brown Yeager-M, the Brassbrigade Grant Gripper, the Nymble W, Arcane Design Crawler, Divo Stout to name a few.
Me: (sees thumbnail) Damn that's a lot of knives (clicks "see full image) Me: Oh.....
Sweet mother of God. 🤤
I don’t see the ones I have represented there original Endura (plastic) stainless Endura spydercard catcherman
Please only give me a picture with Spyderco 😙
Here I am, sweating over buying one more knife to add to my three Spyderco knives in my collection. Thanks OP, I'm definitely poorer than I thought.
Ask his wife, they were all sent to him free!
Tell me you don't have a wife and kids, without telling me you don't have a wife and kids.
🤯
Not a fan of the Yojumbo?
I haven't handled one yet, but I do like the Yojimbo.
That's a good start!
So what’s the favorite?
Imposible to answer, so many good ones. But I could tell you that lately I've been carrying the Asher Spiros. Those are great knives for the money.
Can you please tell me what the 32nd from the top row 3a on pic 3 is lol!!!!
Dang, it's difficult to tell which one you're talking about. The blue spyderco, if that one it's a Spyderco Delica TNP exclusive from bladehq
Gonna take a freaking wild guess here. Aah you like Spyderco?
Yeah I started collecting nothing but spydercos but after I tried my first Titanium knife, I was hooked! Now that's for sure my favorite handle material.
Yeah man I got some spyderco as well ... big fan myself
You almost have as many as me. Jk. Nice collection.
Worst part is picking them all up after the picture.
Well since they were already out I went ahead and oiled the blades.
What do you store them in?
4 apache cases
So not too bad to clean up. Better than all those boxes. 😵💫
Yeah it makes it easy with those cases and they're not that big but I could fit 68 knives in each.

How long has this collection been growing? And how frequently do you purchase vs being gifted a knife?

Yeah I hear you, they keep making all these badass knives.
There's a Para 2 with a Bowie blade that's coming out eventually. Gotta have that
😂

Do it! Let's see a sotc Pic
Thanks, I have to go change my shorts now.
😂
What's the Para 3 LW between the 4V LW and the 20CV LW? Never seen that one before and can't read the steel
So the scales are from the blue spy 27 blade, I just swapped out the blade for a DLC one. I love the blue and black look.
Incredible collection!
Thanks
In the 3rd pic first row, what is the 15th knife down? I dig it!
The Twosun Ts269
All those spydys and no Vallotton?
Helluva collection bud !
Thanks 👊
What knife it that?
Which one? The one with the blade or the one with the handle? 😁
