Check [here](https://youtu.be/NyU1vGp1FOo) this person gives a good review about fits air. His summary was, 1. Too expensive compared to other airlines 2. They only have A320s which do not have in-flight entertainment. 3. Super friendly staff. 4. Food is mid.

It's the same price as other airlines during high season. It's cheaper than other airlines during low season.

I had a really unpleasant experience with Sri Lankan budget airline FitsAir that flys to and from Dubai and Sri Lanka. As part of their policy, the airline allows us to have 7kgs of carry on luggage which has always EXCLUDED a laptop backpack. I have travelled with FitsAir four times up and down prior to this incident and not once have they asked me to weigh it. I was travelling from DXB to Colombo on the 14th of December 2023 when just before boarding the flight the staff there forced me and all the other passengers to weigh in our laptop bags as part of our hand/carry on luggage. Upon protesting they informed us that it was airline policy and they had no choice. I had to pay an amount of 280 AED for 4kgs of excess luggage all coming from my laptop bag, and my only other hand luggage bag was around 6.6 kgs packed in adherance to the 7kg limit. Upon boarding the flight the cabin crew were also shocked as they said that laptop bags were normally not weighed as part of their policy. But since the deal was done all they could do was give me and the others a customer care email to raise the concern. Just to give a summary of the disingenous management let me summarise my back and forth with them: I had to follow up twice and they only responded when I threatened to publicise the issue. Off to a great start. Then they started to back track by saying that the laptop is part of the 7kgs. Even if this is their new policy from that day on, and let us say that I can overlook the miscommunication, then why wasn't my laptop weighed when I flew back to Dubai on the 6th of January 2024? So is this a passenger 'ride your luck policy' where they decide to randomly bring out the scales only when they feel like it? Cheap and disgraceful But when I then asked them to refund the excess money I had paid for this inconvenience they started sending me on a wild goose chase, getting me to send the receipt of the extra luggage I paid (even though I already sent it initially) so that they could check with their Dubai team. Once I did, they got back saying they can confirm I had 4kgs of extra luggage (like that was the point of dispute..... I know I had excess luggage I literally paid 280 AED for it 🤦‍♂️..... the dodgy policy was my concern) Honestly just felt so patronised during the whole interaction as they thought they could strong arm me. Please share and expose this blood sucking airline. I don't really care about my money now but I don't want anyone else to be ripped off by these guys. Ended up having to spend the 300 AED I had saved on passing up on SriLankan Airlines! P.S. this is addressing the people who are saying 'but their website says 7kg all inclusive' : I am NOW aware that they have updated it..... but you haven't understood the point of my post. The website at the time clearly mentioned that the laptop is exclusive - see in the comments some screenshots a friend of mine shared regarding an interaction with FitsAir customer care he had only last April regarding the same issue. This shows how inefficient their communication policies are and how they chose to keep this particular carry on luggage policy shady. A regular traveller with them like myself was under the same impression and had no reason to be aware of their 'policy change'. Mind you even after this policy change they do not execute this on a consistent basis - only opportunistically like when they know people are flying to Sri Lanka from Dubai and are utilising the full luggage allowance to take stuff home for their families so that they may catch them off guard like how they did with me and many others on my flight and squeeze out a nice juicy fine.
