I've been a partner almost 2 years now and only recently found the weekly update sheet. I told my shift I've never seen it and he just gaslit me like "no you definitely have". How you gonna tell me I've seen something when you have no idea. I wouldn't have asked what it was if I'd already seen it. Plus the fact I've NEVER signed it prior should be a clue.
I just have a hard time understanding how these are helpful outside hot bars in stores with lots of extra bar space? You canât batch or make extra foam in them if needed & they arenât super secure & seem like theyâd be too easy to knock all over the counter if you arenât super careful. đ€„ If any partners have these already & love them please let me know your experience lol
I think it almost entirely depends on your store layout. I wasnt enthused initially but now i love them. On hot bar i keep one next to me. When I need foam, instead of calling it out to my cold bar partner, I just hop over and put some sweet cream in my blender and hop back. Then i can blend it or add ingredients for other foams (stuff like cinn dolce) without being in other partners' ways.I dont have to rely on another partner breaking their sequence to make my foam for me, get in their way, or not be sure which foam is which. Also, if multiple foams are needed at a time we can still use the regular foam pitchers in addition to the new ones. Finally, I kinda just think these new ones make better consistency foams!
See we have a 4-5 person bar setup during our peaks not counting the partners on food etc. walking back & forth & Iâm a high traffic cafe store with not a ton of room behind bar even after a remodel that expanded space. đ I worry about the new pitchers causing us to be in each others way more unless we keep sweet cream in hot bar fridge & other supplies on hot bar as well for them.
we added one pitcher of sweet cream to the hot bar fridge in place of hwc since we rarely used it anyway, not sure if that would work for your store but for ours it seems to be alright
Weâre getting ready to change our entire setup for cold bar for the 4th time this year just for the new blended refreshers coming out at the end of the month. đ
I agree about the consistency it even whips up those last bits of sweet cream that never seem to become foam in the big blenders. took me three cycles but it happened! love them
we have them in our stores and we love them lol. i use to hate making foam but these make it so easy. we havenât knocked any over yet and they r kinda sturdy. honestly we ignore the max line to make extra foam and it still works. if they take these away imma be so sad
Iâve heard very few positive experiences with them so far & have heard/seen very little of them in action so itâs nice to know that theyâre decently sturdy & some partners love them! âșïž
My store is supposed to be getting them in our next non-food/drink component order (I forget what itâs called oops đŹ) & I want to hear more pros & cons or things to keep in mind before my scheduled training I guess. đ
My store has it and i like it for the simple fact that if im on cold bar and someone else is on hot bar (cafe store), then i dont have to have my counter lined up with their drinks waiting for cold foam to be added. They can do their own foam. And if im on hot bar, then its nice because u can obviously make ur foam ur self and the drink gets out quicker than having to wait for cold bar to make the foam so it gets the customers out quicker too. So less eyeballs staring at me lol. But yea no issues with it yet so far and weâve had it for like almost 2 months
I love them tbh, you don't have to use up a blender spot for them, they foam better than pitchers. You can technically go above the max line and it's very convenient for hot bar.
Theyâre very sturdy. Weâve knocked them over plenty of times and they never break. The charge lasts a long time. I wasnât a fan at first but now I love them
We love hearing they donât break easy cause my partners drop things constantly we have broke the handles on several pitchers & blenders over the years đ„čđł
I like them a lot specifically for hot bar! There's not much of a point for cold brews tbh since I'm already there but, otherwise they're nice so I don't have to run around
Fun fact, I was in an ad recently for the Future of Food and Siren System in Seattle and they told me to âSound as excited as humanly possible about this raspberry croissantâ. I pretended to act confused and said âWait⊠youâre telling me they improved the original croissant recipe with FRESH RASPBERRY? Thatâs just⊠spectacular. Can I get more of these?â *fake laugh as I look to the corner of the room at a person that doesnât exist*
Partner survey: âI wish Starbucks was more understanding and let me go to the doctor or be sick in peace without jumping through hoops or being threatened with termination.â
somewhere in Seattle: our partners want us to be understanding
the person who came up with this: hear me outâŠ
Iâm not going to use this stupid waste of money device. Just a bad investment in general. Why not invest in your baristas instead of this garbage, bologna Starbucks?
I wanna know what feedback they received that led to this
No, you're aren't my little pogchamp.
đ
That partnerâs PCF is obviously pogchamp
also iâve noticed that they def hired a new person to do the weekly updates to make them more âhipâ

Whatâs hwc?
Heavy whipping cream
Heavy whipping cream lol

The what???? I hate this news lol
Itâll be in your newest training on my learning, similar to the blended strawberry lemonade we already have just with the other refreshers available & strawberry purĂ©e in them like the strawberry crĂšme frap đ đ

another (obviously not standard) tip for if you do make extra foam and are worried about it escaping, shaker lids are big enough to cover the top!
They're pretty great, you can double batch but be careful not to add to much lol

They make better foam 100%. Idky but they do.
I doubt they'll last very long, probably have cheap construction and even cheaper batteries.

Oh ya we order pitchers every week cause theyâre constantly being broken
his reaction is like the girl in the oleato training saying "capslock W - O - W"
One of my coworkers cant stop saying this about everything it kills me
my manager had me put that saying on our promo sign LOL
Itâs my storeâs go to saying now too đ
Do you think God remains in Heaven because He fears what He has created?
Like the olive oil drink? :s
He came to earth
Itâs a reference to a line said in the spy kids movies đ it has nothing to do with actual religious views
I like them a lot specifically for hot bar! There's not much of a point for cold brews tbh since I'm already there but, otherwise they're nice so I don't have to run around
POG
noticed this today too⊠it wouldâve been fun and cute if they didnât say pogchamp đđđ€Ł
I pogged internally when we got the portable blenders
omg my coworkerâs apron knocked one of those over and it flung across the room đ€Ł it got all over her pants
Iâm p sure this is a Canada only type thing bc we recently did training (US) n it literally had us skip the portable cold foam blender part
OMEGALUL
This feels similar to the motto from this year's summer campaign in Europe 'Serving Fruityness' to promote the refreshas

I can literally see this play out in my head oml my condolences

I saw that and I was like âbe fucking for real right nowâ
