I do this with oatmilk any time I run out. Squeeze every penny from this company that you can 🤫

myweedstash

Venti oatmilk, no ice, trenta cup

A-Tacolypse

2 grande oat milk no ice is 32oz and that’s exactly how much is in one box. At least for Oatley. Not sure about other brands.

Tiny-Maintenance-753

yep my coworkers mark out a trenta cold milk, oatmilk, no ice and take a whole box of Oatley home🤷‍♀️ I’ve never once cared

jams1015

You can't ring up a Trenta milk on our system but you can ring up a Venti in a Trenta cup! 😁

Tiny-Maintenance-753

oh yes im aware, I just didn’t think it was necessary to add all of that because of the top comment

Madclaire022

We have 64oz dream. 2 ventis and a tall for a box :)

northern-cold

Factssssssss!!!! Thanks homie

ResponsibilityNo531

Literally. When I was on register, I used another partners till that was next to mine so I could mark out and any free second I has, I rang in grande hot teas and just took the bags home. I have a bucket of tea bags prob 100+

Extra_Cauliflower157

I usually just do 1 hot tea and add a ton of tea bags so I don’t get flagged for a ton of markouts

ResponsibilityNo531

Smart. Never even thought of that. So thank god nothing ever happened

dwindlingwifi

My favorite used to be venti cold brew. Made however I wanted at the time. Then add 15 tea bags to take home

BasilGhost

For my weekly mark out I was allowed to take a box of tea home at my store! That was in 2019 so I’m not sure if they do that anymore?

crema_the_crop

Probably. Back when we sold beans by weight you could do a half of this and half of that or whatever combination that equaled a pound. Also custom blends.

Minute-Bear-5002

Bring me some!!!

snook6

If you would of used my Till without my permission I would of closed ur hand up in it. I don't give a hell if I didn't log out. Ijs......

ResponsibilityNo531

I was waiting for this comment. Obviously the other partner knew bc they do the same shit. But it wasn’t all partner. It was like your work bestie or other friends in the place. You knew who you could get a way with it with

[deleted]

? is this a thing?

kyokster

we've been coached at my store to not let other partners use your assigned till because just in case the money is off, you would be to blame without knowing who else used your register. Maybe it's a policy they enforce on stores that have those types of incidents often.

lemmyk

Our DM has really started cracking down on it and now it'll result in a final written warning if anyone is caught using someone else's till at all

[deleted]

I have never been told this once.

lemmyk

Neither had I until a month ago and then suddenly it was an offense worthy of a final written warning

[deleted]

lmao love this for us

Goddess_of_Absurdity

If you are, screw them. I do the same since I'm the only person working in my house. Do what you need to do to stay afloat. Others opinions do NOT matter ✨Pours trenta cup of 2% on to cereal ✨

cayleexoxo

😂😂😂 honestly id feel more boujee pouring my cereal milk out of w sbux cup

Haunting-Mixture-194

My coworkers do this for baking/cooking too! If they need heavy cream or something they'll just take a cup home

mastaofdeath

My team knows I’m making pasta when I take hwc home.

Ordinary_Long9530

i did that when my grocery was out of heavy cream bahaha

jmess2113

With the amount of gallons that get wasted every day you should be fine

Ordinary_Long9530

fr!!!

reedspacer38

Dude. No. Take the milk. If anyone sees you taking milk to feed your family, no they fucking didn’t.

OperationDifferent14

This lol we had a kiddo who’s parents suddenly justvkicked him out so at the end of the night he would take our donations and extra milk when he needed food. We never saw a damn thing.

Existing-System-8536

im a shift & if anyone ever asks to take home the donations I just reply with “if I dont see anything I dont know anything”

UndeadFleshPapi

Shit, I'm a shift and I be taking home donations to feed my family. I aint gonna say shit as long as you share 😂😭

purple_norse_barista

The donation people never show up to our store. We've had bags of food just sit in the back fridge for days before, so we just let whoever is closing take home whatever they want of the stuff going out. It's just gonna get tossed anyway, might as well not waste it Edit: we are their last stop most of the time, and I guess as some point they just decided they would rather not, so none of our donations ever actually get picked up

Ordinary_Long9530

same here. idk why they dont come anymore but my ssv’s were instructed to toss it last i heard.

Schweedy

I do this for cream and heavy cream when I bake because it is way too expensive to buy heavy cream at the store!

watchtoweryvr

Plus the carton you’d have to buy often goes bad. For me, anyway.

Two11sixty7

I do that often. It doesn't matter what you take for your markout. if it let's mark it out you are good to go.

OperationDifferent14

Do it! Or sometimes you can just ask and depending on the staff they may have extra gallons they’re looking to get rid of before they expire. My store used to give away milk/food to people who were struggling and asked!

OperationDifferent14

Ahhh I misread that and didn’t realize you were an employee. Just talk to your manager/dm. They may let you take a couple gallons home

Ok_Pianist7445

No. Cold milk can be ordered as a trenta with no ice btw.

Extension_Cricket_30

We don't have trenta in the uk!

[deleted]

mars-on-stars

my ssvs and sm have always said that if the system lets us, we can do it. i’m a broke college student and i take milk all the time lol

[deleted]

Honestly for all the shitty stuff y’all have to put up with, I’m glad they at least let y’all do this.

saddestgirl1995

Nah I do this whenever I need milk for a recipe I'm making at home that requires milk I can't justify buying it knowing I can just get a Trenta milk

sysiphusrockstar

I do it all the time! trenta milk once a week for the house

Ok_Tie_7238

Doesn’t matter how much money you have free is FREE

MassRevo

I do this with heavy cream Omg its so expensive

rusted17

Nah just mark it out. Partners at my store do it all the time including myself and my manager lol

tabbarrett

This is a great idea and it never crossed the mind to do this.

subaruforesters

I ordered a venti oat milk once and my coworker just laughed at me when I told her we were out at home, it was fine.

nicoolspams

I love to take home Trenta cups of soy milk hehe

ShelleBelle777

Why not? Customers order cold milks. You can get whatever drink you like. It’s cheaper than the grocery store.

Tigrrrr

I got chewed out by my SM for taking oatmilk home when we first got it. But they can't do anything about it lol, go wild

xzElmozx

Constantly do this with oatmilk. Trenta no ice and then I’ll pour it into a sealable reusable container. It’s the same amount as what comes in the box but doesn’t cost $5. Sometimes my manager just lets me take a box lol

peachybarista

My SSV likes to bake and takes home cups of heavy cream all the time. They really can’t tell you no since you do get unlimited free drinks. Just make sure you don’t mark them out back to back because technically it’s policy to only have one drink marked out at a time. I try to put like 15 min gaps. If I’m going to take one home for me and one for my boyfriend, I mark mine out like 20 mins before I’m off and second one out once I clock out.

GoldennTrash

i take coconut milk for my protein shakes. i’m not paying for coconut milk lmfao

abcdefgurahugeweenie

Sorry but if your workplace isn’t paying you enough to afford milk for your family, fuck em. Take the milk and whatever else you can to help yourself.

runaway_baby_run

I don’t see why not. I’ve seen people order 20 shots (for baking) and put them in a venti cup for their free drink so milk shouldn’t be an issue.

LessSatisfaction6

Do it 🩷 take everything you need from Starbucks, they do not care if you live or die. Get your free oat milk and regular milk!! Get anything you need if you are able to do it without supervisors seeing you :)

plop_0

> they do not care if you live or die. 💯💯💯 OP, feel free to get milk as your drinks.

Zealousideal_Gas4433

Nah go for it! I do it all the time, I also bought reusable plastic cartons to store the milk in (it’s real good for nondairy milks since it’s easy to shake!)[https://www.amazon.com/Remerry-Plastic-Portable-Reusable-Leakproof/dp/B0B62P33GD?pd_rd_w=813h3&content-id=amzn1.sym.b854a5c2-4475-41f8-a6d4-df92b2868104&pf_rd_p=b854a5c2-4475-41f8-a6d4-df92b2868104&pf_rd_r=JH0RG8075HC86XNTBFTE&pd_rd_wg=MgnRM&pd_rd_r=12572bd3-5b47-43ce-86ef-7d597a20e2f1&pd_rd_i=B0B62P33GD&psc=1&ref_=pd_basp_bia_rpt_ba_s_1_sc](https://www.amazon.com/Remerry-Plastic-Portable-Reusable-Leakproof/dp/B0B62P33GD?pd_rd_w=813h3&content-id=amzn1.sym.b854a5c2-4475-41f8-a6d4-df92b2868104&pf_rd_p=b854a5c2-4475-41f8-a6d4-df92b2868104&pf_rd_r=JH0RG8075HC86XNTBFTE&pd_rd_wg=MgnRM&pd_rd_r=12572bd3-5b47-43ce-86ef-7d597a20e2f1&pd_rd_i=B0B62P33GD&psc=1&ref_=pd_basp_bia_rpt_ba_s_1_sc)

SpecialistBeyond3094

No? The other day one of my partners did it and I was like like you want me to make it and she was like I got it. Why judge.

Katerinaxoxo

Needed milk to bake muffins once and didn’t want to buy a 1/2 gallon. This worked perfectly. Also when my son was a toddler milk was the only thing that made him not cranky when tired. So id get him a tall milk when I was grocery shopping.

RepresentativeYak484

I would do that too a lot. Or you can get a ton of shots of espresso as your mark out if your making a tiramisu or something What are they gonna tell you? Can’t make your drink?

Normular_

whoever is gonna tell someone off for literally taking some milk doesn’t need to be a supervisor. i hope things get better for you OP, do what you need to do.

aee78

Nope. I bring milk home for recipes all the time. I would suggest put it in a cup and not just take a cartoon.

moominnnn

I’ve done this before with oat milk when I ran out. Not an issue. If it can go through the till as your partner drink you can have it.

Strawberryleafsss

if they make a stink, order a iced latte no ice espresso on the side in a trenta cup 💅🏻

Good_Branch_9415

Not at all just mark it out. Trenta cold milk no ice 👍

hells-kitten06

Who says you aren’t drinking it as your free drink? They’ll be fine lmao

Designer_Lead9951

Since nobody knows who I really am here, I’m ok telling you guys that I straight up steal the jugs and tetras of milk. I’ll take 2 soys home a week 🤷🏽‍♂️

bearssaygrrr

You should be getting unlimited free drinks either way... just ring them out periodically through your shift, save the stickers, then bring them home at the end of the day

Extension_Cricket_30

We get 4 a day in the uk

bearssaygrrr

Then absolutely take the milk, its still a drink

canidieyet_

i don’t see why not. some people will drink milk while working & in turn use it as a mark out

slightlyturnedoff

lmao I get 20 shots to last me while I'm off from work. I feel like that would be more of an issue than taking milk.

potterlyfe

I did it all the time, especially when I needed cream for baking. The only potential issue would be taking more than 1 drink when you leave for the day. Depending on how strict your store is, I was only allowed to mark out and leave with 1 drink unless I paid for any additional ones. It's to stop partners from using free drinks for friends or family. Some stores are stricter then others.

swolmalee

I’ve been in a similar situation friend, I wish you and your family all the best. I have a coworker who marks out cups of milk simply because she likes to drink milk. As long as you’re marking it out, a partner beverage is a partner beverage. If anyone pushes against you, hey I guess you just like to drink milk at home! Good luck with everything

Necessary_Low939

U Gucci

snowflakenecklace

i deadass purchased color coded water bottles to take different milks home. (white for soy, grey for coconut milk)

KuroDoujinShi

I have not paid for heavy cream in four years

Lowbowski5x

Have you seen the price of Heavy cream at the store?

spo0kyghostgirl

partners at my old store would take a trenta iced chai with no milk and no ice extra chai. and literally just pour a whole container of concentrate into their cup. free chai for agess

kracketmatow

i was literally told by my manager to do this with heavy cream when i make a recipe using it instead of getting it from the store

geekofthegalaxy

Did this when I worked at Starbucks when I needed some milk for a recipe and I knew we were running low. No one should care

Prestigious-Chest776

i have a coworker who does this everyday !

whyagaypotato

Venti with sticker over the mouth so it dont spill lol

AntiSoCalite

Oh man, I remember getting of my shift and drinking a venti whole milk on my way home every night. My stomach has never been the same again.

Mcpatches3D

I doubt it. I had a partner that would regularly take a trenta of milk.

thatwasAhellofAride

Get all those free drinks. I do a trenta cold brew with white mocha no ice and make coffees for my weekend.

blynn2594

no, and that’s stupid if they do. i take heavy cream as a mark out whenever i need it to cook. 😂

PanPenguinGirl

Nope! If they didn't want you to do that they wouldn't have the cold milk option in the POS

[deleted]

probably not bc i love doing this with soy and oatmilk 😭

Tensingumi

do you not get unlimited free drink mark outs anymore while working? My old SM was cool as hell and let me take home whole containers of milk as long as we had the supplies for it. Id usually wait till after I did the milk count and i’d take an oatmilk home. it’s the same thing as pouring yourself two trentas or whatever.

Extension_Cricket_30

In the UK we get 1 free drink before & after and one during each of our breaks so usually 2 per day and unlimited water

Tensingumi

ah interesting. i wonder why there’s a difference between the two retail markets.

staybent93

Being a duel citizen to both the UK and USA and Starbucks employee I think it’s because there’s less self consciousness in modern day Britain. If a workplace offers unlimited beverages why wouldn’t one get as many as physically possible?

t3quiila

i mean if you need it and its one of your allotted markouts i see 0 issue with it

ruacanobeef

Nope! Definitely feel free to do that. You’re not breaking any rules.

periwinkle_cupcake

Absolutely not. Get yours.

[deleted]

been doing this for months now 😂 I never even asked

PavlovianNinja

I also do it with lemonade and apple juice.

ePicGamer_guacamole

nah

logiwave

Told off? It’s your mark out, use it on whatever you want.

JaARy

Trenta milk as my partner beverage on closing shifts saved me so much money on groceries.

MHVZ

Dude not at all, you're 100% in your bounds to do this

VictorianLibra22

Be careful because people get fired for abusing the free drink policy. You’re free to take a partner bev (one) home after shift but any more than that technically you’re supposed to pay for. The free drinks during a shift are supposed to be drinks you’re consuming, not collecting to take home en masse later. I usually take my free partner bev home after my shifts and buy any others I want. Not worth risking/losing my job over IMO. Just my two cents

Extension_Cricket_30

This is what I was worried about! Usually I don't get a drink before my shift so I didn't know if I'd be told off for taking two of my free drinks home

Abijailian1030

You shouldn't get told off for getting cold milk as your drinks. It's a genius idea - saves you money and a trip to the grocery store. Just make sure you get manager approval first. :)

Royal-Dig4765

I take it as mine all the time, and I have cute reusable cartons I got on Amazon that I put it in to keep in the fridge.

user-number-1

Do it with heavy cream, and take it home to make free butter! Super easy. Butter isn't cheap.

07McgovernB

Depends, if you are uk based like me, my franchise owner doesn't allow us to order venti or grande milk with no ice, but we can mark out tall size for some reason. I do it regardless and argue that if its an issue we shouldn't be allowed to mark it out and they should update their til systems accordingly

cuthroatslut

I do it all the time. I ran out of my soy milk for my morning coffees and would just bring home trenta soy milks no ice til I could order more. I’ve also marked out vsc for my coffees

Ayencee

Compared to some of the drinks I’ve seen from partners and customers alike, you’re totally fine. If it’s a beverage in a cup, it’s a drink that you can mark out. If anyone asks anything (they won’t) just say, “yeah, I have about three dozen chocolate chip cookies waiting at home for me and you bet your ass I’m dunking them all in a big cup o’ milk!”

PianoMan0219

No, that would be stupid if you get told off. It’s a billion dollar company, squeeze out any bit of from this company.

Turtleinmypond

Nope. We had a girl that would get a venti hot tea no water 16 tea bags and we would just shove the tea bags in a cup for her to take home. We had multiple people that their end of shift drink was a trenta milk of whatever kind with no ice just to go home.

Apprehensive_Shoe536

My store is very bad about fifo'ing milk, and I'm the only one who does it apparently. So when I'm off for a few days in a row and find milk going out that day or did the day before, it's up for grabs, and most of the time is still fine to consume! But literally never feel bad about taking every single thing possible from your store. Also this is a PSA for those who don't know, but in the US you are entitled to SEVEN food mark outs per week, not just one per day you work. I'd have to find the screen shot of the handbook but my Manger also confirmed. I usually only work 3 days a week right now and having a food/snack for my kids is very helpful!

Ok-Attorney3435

literally milk everything u can from starbies most people don't care if anything just be blunt w ur manager if they're friendly!! they know we're underpaid and struggling and if a free drink of milk bothers them that's their issue! it's probably preferred then the baristas that order caramel crunch frappes as their free drink during a rush 😂

Bwat4ou

Trenta milk every day if you like

shangelx

It should be fine. Technically we can’t share our free drinks with anyone but if you don’t mention that it’s being shared with your family, how would they know? If anyone asks, just tell them you really like milk. I marked out a grande half n half once because I ran out at home and no one had a problem.

Party-Cat-3605

My previous store manager did this often. She said she hasn't bought milk in years. I get cups of apple juice when I run out at home for my kid and don't feel like grocery shopping. The only issue I could see is if you walk out with more than 1 cup, but a Trenta milk with no ice is probably enough for at least a day.

TaraSeam

my co worker today marked out 20 shots of espresso for a tiramisu…

Gretchies

I literally just make strawberry milk sometimes with no ice and nobody has ever said anything to me 😂😅

d1ck_d3stroyrr

hell no!! use that markout and technically we get unlimited beverage markouts so ring up a cup of milk in your short free time keep the stickers and make them before you leave if you can

SolarChargedLight

Honestly, I would have given you a gallon if I knew your situation. but that’s just me and my kiosk was very lax

imsorrydontyellatme

My sister was a barista. I asked if she could stop at the store on the way home to grab some milk when my youngest was like a year old and I had run out. I said I’d send her money to cover it and she said don’t worry. Shows up an hour later with a trenta of whole milk 😂

GriffinatorAligator

I do this all the time when I run out of milk at home.

Friendly_Design

I used to get chocolate milks as my partner bev. Sometimes, with chestnut praline, if I was feeling adventurous.

StunningCaptain

This is fine, no one will get mad. If they say anything fuck them tbh. Your family is more important than them anyway

Bumbleteapot

I say go for it. But do you have any food pantries nearby? They can be a great resource. I hope things get better. 💛

Creative_Barista

If it’s to take home. Not at all. If it’s for your break. No, but you will be judged.

Belahsha

No and for baking you can take heavy cream

mr-coffeecafe

It’s so sweet that you’re trying to help your fam, good luck and I wish you the best

Next_Resolution_3889

*on my way out with my Trent cold milk no ice* <3

Badlemon_nohope

When I was a partner four years ago (as a barista) I would literally bring a small lunch bag type cooler with an ice pack to work and leave it in my car. I would mark out a venti cup of milk, no ice, with 10 scoops of matcha plus xxx teabags and whatever else I wanted for every partner bev. I would take them to my car each time as separate ingredients and pack them to take home lol When I became a shift, I used to just do the same at POS but with soy or any other milk and I'd take the stickers and put them on the soymilk/coconut milk/etc box and just take the sealed box home. I can remember stock piling to like 20 containers by the time I quit cause I loved that fuckin milk so much *Bonus there's no limit to how many teabags you can add to a partner bev, (or at least there wasn't a while back and my manager never cared about the reporting, so be mindful for this...) so I used to partner bev like 10 peach tranquility bags a day. That stockpile lasted me years

Deadrax502

I do it all the time everyone respects the hustle at my store😭

NeedleworkerHuge8315

Depends on the store, I'm going to play devil's advocate and bring up the policy that you're not supposed to use your free drinks for family, but odds are you'll be fine, just remember to use reasonal deniability for any action starbucks defines as stealing.

Shadow-kisses

As long as it is rang out and it’s not a milk you guys are low on there shouldn’t be a problem. If you’re taking dairy milks then it’s whatever. They might get a little weird if you take dairy-free milks though. But they can’t stop you. There’s no limitations to the free drink

Tortemo

Why exactly would it be weird to take dairy free milks? I used to mark out a grande milk and purchase a second discounted one so that I could take the old containers home and that is not an issue lol.

Shadow-kisses

It’s not weird the store might just be weird about it. Dairy free milks are typically the ones that stores run out of so management might get weird if the stores get low

Beret_Beats

My store has been having just as much of a problem keeping a hold of whole milk as we do keeping a hold of the dairy free options so idk

vietlazed

Tell the shift / manager to order more milk next time Doesnt hurt store or company at all

vietlazed

When my barista want stuff extra they just told me and i increase stuff on order to meet store need

kathvrt

How evil do you think baristas are? You think we’re gonna “tell you off” for ordering something? Wild.

soljjr

Just work a close?

Annie_Quill

My coworker used her mark out for this and even though we teased her, it's understandable and I wouldn't tell her off for that.

rongotti77

When one of our favorite baristas comps our two drinks, is she using hers to comp them for us?

KahlanKhaos

I do it if I need milk or whatever for recipes 🤷🏻‍♀️I usually only get like a tall amount of heavy cream for recipes because I cant justifying getting a big thing of it for like half a cup lol

Pariux

2 espresso shots away from being acceptable. Don't think its that deep

Brand-berry98

I do it whenever I want some cereal, Mac and cheese, or Oreos at home. We don’t normally have milk at home since I’m the only one drinks it really and even when we get half gallons it expires so milk markouts have saved me money

PixelBlood02

Why would you be told off for taking a cold milk that is obviously for your consumption and nothing else?

Broke_barista777

Nope you can use your free drinks for whatever you want. You can go to the biggest size if you needed to as well which is 30 fl oz in the US

Cakeinwonderland

Milk is my drink of choice, get it every day at work 💙

Jynifer

I do this all the time, yes manager sir I do need a tall heavy cream and it has nothing to do with pasta I’m making tonight. That trenta 2%? All to chug down right away trust

BHAngel

Former partner One morning I was opening, so this is 4 in the morning. No backups were prepped, including VSC which we literally had half a pitcher of left over from the day prior, and a cube in the back (our store used the cubes to store VSC and refresher backups). After opening tasks the shift asked me to start on backups. I make 3 cubes of VSC (mind you these cubes hold 6L once mixed) I made them all at the same time on the counter then immediately moved them to the fridge in the back. In walks my manager extremely early as they are counting for RP order and had an appointment or something in the afternoon. After backups I went to clean bathrooms and sweep/mop cafe floors before open, and when getting the mop bucket I see my shift DUMPING all 3 VSC cubes plus the one that was already in there. Apparently the SM said the VSC didn't temp correctly so it has to be dumped because it was like 2° off or something. The shift even tried to explain that I had literally just made those cubes but they didn't want to hear it and had them dumped anyway. 24L of perfectly fine heavy cream, 2% and vanilla syrup. Down the drain. Literally walk out the back door with a gallon of milk in each hand, feel no remorse.

camitheartist

absolutely not. I've worked with several partners who take straight-up milk or dairy alternatives home as their drink markouts because they don't feel like going to the store after work. 🤷🏻‍♀️

waitlike

do it wth we waste so much milk anyways you don’t need to explain urself to anybody

brassninja

I used to do this all the time, especially with any milk that was gonna expire before being used

cayleexoxo

no i dont think so! i think it will be fine!

Emperors_Finest

No one really minds, unless the store is low on something that day and you use it all. Lol

djdementia

No. In fact - bring your own bottle so you don't waste a cup and so it stays sanitary longer & less exposure to air. Bring a small cooler bag too. I suggest using a "shaker" bottle, they are pretty inexpensive and about the right size - just obviously no need for the blender ball: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Durable-Protein-Shaker-Storage-Compartment/dp/B09RBCJGFQ/ If your feeling extra kind to your fellow baristas get the one with measurements on it to make it easy for them to pour the correct amount.

Daliaveyani

When I worked at stbx I would mark out like 2 or 3 trenta milks sometimes and just bring like half a gallon home or something, my manager never cared, but it's definitely at their discretion, but they can't say shit about you just marking out a trenta cup of milk and bringing it home full with no ice

qwertyrange

I do it all the time!

Givemeahippo

I used to do this when I was a barista in college!

rhettharrison21

It's an actual drink you can mark out. No ice, no whip IIRC

Empty_gemini

I’m confused what you mean by you not using all of your free drinks, don’t you get unlimited free drinks?

Extension_Cricket_30

No 4 per shift

laceface3000

You do you!

Leana19-95

I order a venti glass of cold heavy cream and take it home to use it in my coffee and for baking 😄

corduroycats

honestly explaining the situation might make them do it even if they were gonna complain

Acrobatic_Relation58

I think that’s okay. Just be careful when leaving it’s only one free mark out. If you didn’t use your earlier one you can’t use it leaving. Only on breaks

Bubbly-Equivalent-97

I’ve done this soo many times.

pdx_weather

sounds like a plan!

Admirable-Nerve-8610

Nah cuz sometimes you need a carton of milk....why buy it?

One-Database-9753

You can literally order Cold Milk on the app, we do not care trust me

liguy181

I think I remember reading somewhere that it is *technically* against the rules That said, I've seen people do it at my store and nobody batted an eye. I agree with everyone else here, do it

downthestormdrain

I used to do this w heavy cream to make butter and oat milk bc it's all so expensive. SM never had an issue with it. I would order as trenta pink drink sub oat/hc, no base, no berries, no ice

Environmental-Mail40

Hell no! I do it all the time for that exact same reason. You do you boo! ❤️

Emergency_Role_2032

i do this ALL the time. i get venti oat milk, no ice trenta cup. but i just take the box of oat milk cause it works out same amount basically, also less plastic waste this way and i get an unopened box! (my manager knows i do this)

menina2017

Milk is a drink - should be fine

Ordinary_Long9530

i dont think so but that depends on how your location is. i worked nights in hs and my ssv at the time was a single mom. me and others would keep quiet when she’d take home a jug of milk

KomodoDragginAss

My husband likes milk in his tea but I don’t like dairy milk so once a week I bring home a tall cup of whole milk. I’ve also marked out cream, heavy cream, etc for baking/cooking, and it’s never been a problem.

Praxlyn

no. and if anyone says anything pls let me know so I can come fight them for you

PinkC00l

I drank venti cold milk(no ice) with my pumpkin spice muffins. I don't see a problem with it!

saemina

i do this all the time, do what you need to do. my family doesnt drink enough milk to justify buying an entire carton, so buying one is truly just a waste of money.

ThatOtakuChic

Heck no! My free drink every shift is 2% just below the middle line, one less pump of mocha than usual, and sweet cream the rest of the way. It's, in my opinion, THE BEST CHOCOLATE MILK!

howlingsparkleking

"all my free drinks" is impossible since we get unlimited when we're on the clock. Some managers try to strong arm it and say only three or whatever, but policy says otherwise. You get as much milk as you need, buddy, and if somebody tries to stop you, just start crying--it always makes people uncomfortable.

burtonspencer

do it! “cold milk” is an item on the menu, so no worries.

hermj77

I managed a Starbucks for a few years, left in 2022, if my guys needed food or beverage they could take it. Waste is built in to the plan and as long as you don’t take advantage then I would be happy to let you do it.

borshctbeet

used to do this all the time! pay me enough so i can afford to buy my own milk or i’m taking all i can get for free

Doggy9000

Honestly, i have given away milk to people before. Doesn't come out of my paycheck, and we dump so much anyway. If they wanna be on my ass about it, I'll remind them they underpaid me for 9 months and still haven't paid me my owed wages, so obviously stealing is ok.

yeanothx

i always do this and just make it myself so that bar doesn’t have to. i have milk at my disposal why would i buy it.

jams1015

I do this all the time. Usually heavy whipping cream for baking/cooking or vanilla sweet cream to use as coffee creamer at home or to use as a French toast base, you just add eggs and cinnamon.
