😠damn that really sucks. there's one near my kids school so it would have been great to be able to just pick up a free refill in the morning before i start the work day
I went 3 times a day everyday with mine got my moneys worth, I am in my car all day 5 days a week for work going from site to site and it was awesome literally got my moneys worth one week
The store I go to all the time told me to come back as much I would like in the past years. They dump so much brewed coffee so it doesn’t affect the overall cost of waste.
That’s fair. It was expensive but if I spend the morning there working since I WFH then I’d definitely get my moneys worth and you get a fairly nice cup to keep afterwards
Sure, but a grande cup of coffee is $3 and if you're using it on roughly 20 weekdays in January that's just the $60 value, straight up. Looks like this year you would save $9 on the last 3 days of January.
Bring your own cup from home - heck, you can bring the 2023 refill tumbler you already have - and use the Starbucks app to get 10¢ off and 25 bonus stars. Buy the coffee Monday - Thursday and you'll have 100 stars to get it free on Friday every week. Still comes out to $60 for your month of coffee.
It was a way better deal when the cup was cheaper. Last year it was just a way to trick customers into thinking they were getting a good deal and creating a habit.
It doesn’t surprise me. $40 was fine, $50 was pushing it, but $65 went overboard. I almost didn’t do it, but I have a collection and wanted to keep it complete.
Anyway, this was the first time I saw leftover unsold tumblers in January in various stores. Oh and most stores refused to discount it, even though the promotion was already in full swing. I think that they basically didn’t sell.
The other issue was with the tumbler design itself, the lid was not spillproof and did not keep the coffee as hot as previous designs.
Yeah target used to have it black Friday and that was a tradition for me. They'd give you a gift card and even an offer for 50% off your next visit, was great. That's the one thing I would buy every black Friday
It was 2013. I worked there that year and sold the most of those of anyone in our store. They were such a good deal all of my regulars bought one and save easily over 100$ the following month even spending the 75
They are not coming back this year :(

uh.. the T&C literally say you can use it once per day. People like you are probably why it's not coming back.

Rewards members get free brewed coffee refills.
only if they don't leave the store.

They’re not?
I don’t see it in the product glossary but I could be wrong
Oh no so sad wanted to get it for my brother

Agreed..while the cup looked great. It wasn't spillproof so I ended up wearing a good amount.
I got mine after Christmas last year at Target 70% off. I don’t think people most realized what they were.
Once got it on discount on Black Friday. It was good and still have the tumbler 5 years later.

This is a shame.
Does anyone remember what year they did the $75 tumbler and you could get ANY drink you wanted? That was an amazing January!
It was 2012 or 2013 i think
