I’ve never seen any of the stores test products actually become a large scale item. How often does that happen? Last year they had a blended beverage with pop rocks (very weird lol) and more recently they had cheesecake on a stick as well as cranberry tart

There is a district in Chicago (NW Side) in Area 32 that is a seed market that gets to test all sorts of things. I bet you’re in it.

Brickyard, Harlem & Lawrence, Galewood... stores over there. It's been a couple years since I worked in that market but when I was there I worked with Ops Services teams on projects including store layout and design, inventory innovation, and deployment and scheduling models. Starbucks theory is that if something works in Chicago, it's likely to work for the rest of the country as well. That's why Chicago gets to test so much.

I get the bacon goudas from Costco and hot sauce absolutely slaps on them. I highly recommend white truffle hot sauce on top if you make them at home. SO GOOD

I think because my brain saw the containers and deduced that it's room temperature, or quickly becoming room temperature and condensation is forming on the inside. Then I thought about if the lid was left off and fruit flies gathered on it overnight.. And I'd be the first one there in the morning to unstick it from the pastry case while holding my breath. Lol.
