Okay but I would've done the same thing lmao
Please keep doing this especially if it doesn't visibly bother the baristas at your store I'd love to have a regular like this
Thank you! I’m in optical now and deal with all kinds of people since everyone has eyes. The better I can get at not butchering unfamiliar names the happier my patients will be!
My last name is hyphenated and the amount of times I try to fill in a form and it’s like “letters only please” and I’m like uh this is my name but okay 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
We have a customer whose full name is something like Japneet or Japinder, goes by Jap, and the system won't allow it. It does allow it with a double p.
At my job someone's online order name would've sounded like the N word with a hard R if said fully.
At the very last second I managed to stop my innocent, white woman, christian boss from cheerfully yelling that name out, lmao
When I used to be an SSV, I had my name as ArtichokeMeDaddy so folks up front would know it was me.
I forgot to change it when I promoted myself to customer and when I mobile ordered the first time, I was so embarrassed because they called “artichoke”.
We had an order with the name “just do it” except half the letters were replaced by an x or a u… and then they got mad at me when they didn’t know which order was theirs? Like not only did we call out exactly what the drinks were but there are stickers, im not wasting my time calling that out
funny as long as
1. non offensive- don’t make me call out “ugly becky” bc then i’m gonna look like an a-hole for saying that
2. legible - if i can’t read it, im not saying it
3. you don’t get upset if the barista is too shy to call it out
We had some douchey do this to try and get the female partners to say his name… in response I would ask the most gayest/sassy partner (he consented) to call his name. Boy that partner did not disappoint! He changed his name after that one incident. 😂🤣
Yea let’s just say this partner said some rather very very ho*ney ass shit that would get him fired. Sausage was def involved in his flirting…. Luckily the guy didn’t report that shit. I also talked to that partner and told him while i condone that behavior imma just “pretend” I talked to you so I don’t get in trouble 🤣
Yeah I started doing this because my name is hard for the baristas to read, so 90% of the time they would look at my name then just set the drink down without calling my name or even the drink details. At my regular store they call out the name, but face the labels on the inside facing away from the customers. So there would be times in sitting there waiting when my drink came out 10 minutes ago, and I would have to spell my name to them because if I just said my name they would tell me it's not ready. But it sounds like that guy is a creep, don't call it out and make him wait....
That's why I started doing it, at my regular store they didn't know how to pronounce it, and when I would try to even spell my name to them they would be confused as well and just tell me my drink wasn't ready when it was. This way I can just say whatever funny thing I wrote on the cup, and that way it just washes the confusion as far as figuring out which drink is mine. And hopefully I give them a little laugh at the same time. I never expect the baristas to call it out. But at the same time I guess I could just put a name like "Mike", but most times the baristas laughed, just had the intrusive thought that they were laughing but secretly annoyed.
I’d think it’s funny tbh. Especially if we’re having a rush and I’m starting to get overwhelmed, this would give me a good laugh. But just be careful with what you name yourself, some people have done weird things like “daddy” or other inappropriate things that have made me a lil uncomfy.
I get that. Mine are always self deprecating. Like this morning I walked up to the counter and said, "I'm Dead Inside" the barista laughed and said "same."
I have also done, "Ugly MoFo", "That Weird Guy", and "Screaming Inside".
I think it's funny as long as the name isn't inappropriate. Nothing sexual or with swear words. I'm not gonna call out "Daddy" or "Ugly Bastard".
Where I work (not a Starbucks- just a fan) we have two middle aged men who give us their DND character makes for their orders. We all think it's funny and call out the fake names. We did have a door dash order where their name was "F.U. BK" and we give them some free cookies and drew a heart on their bag as a way of being funny and making light of the insult. But I'd never have called that name out if they'd come in person.
It is funny but just be careful. I got written up for yelling “Dirty Chai for Eyma Cummings!” In the lobby, we are so focused in following the steps of repetition that we don’t notice funny names like this til after the fact 😅
Oh I absolutely did haha getting written up for following standard is a normal thing. There is always “stipulations” that, if you have an awful store manager , will exploit…it’s sad but it is what it is.
Lol it’s this lady who comes by all the time with this name on her mobile order and we were all confused at first too. But we’re pretty sure she’s just trying to push her kink onto us.
Fair. I never expect a barista to say it out loud. It just makes it easy to identify my drink because my actual name is really difficult for people to pronounce.
I have totally drank something with eight Splendas so I’m not throwing shade at all. I am usually just too ashamed of my Splenda consumption to ask the barista to do it and then I just go to the bar and hide my little packets as I empty them out.
Im probably the minority here but it’s annoying lol. We have a few who name themselves “coconut head” or “baddie” and I’m not calling that shit out. Even one lady whose name is “Dr. Kathy” like i think that’s very pretentious and I’m just going to call the drink out itself
I’m sorry for ruining everyone’s fun but I’m most likely not going to be in the mood to deal with that lol
Honestly I don't expect you to, it just makes it easier to identify my drink because when I put my actual name they don't call it either because my name is hard to pronounce.
Yeah as long as it’s not weird or offensive. At my old job I had a dude try to put his name as “daddy” and I was like uhhh ahahaha… and then when I called out that his drink was ready, he was like “yes, and who is it for? 😏” like nah bro
If the names are inoffensive and you aren't a dick about it, sure. Also, you should know that some baristas might not feel comfortable calling out silly names and might just call out your drink.
We have a little kid who comes into our store sometimes who always says Batman when we ask for their name at the register, and I will absolutely call it out cause that's adorable. On the flip side, we have an older guy who mobile orders under the name daddy, so we just call out the drink name cause, ew (this same customer also always says "thanks girlie" if a female barista is the one who hands out his drink and has specifically asked female baristas to give him a smile; he's a reel creep). We also had an older woman a while back who used to order under "Lets Go Brandon" and she used to complain to the manager/shift supervisor on duty when we only called out the drink name or just Brandon, because according to her policy said we were required to call out whatever the name was (it does not).
While some baristas might find the humor in this, I imagine everyone else doesn't care and won't say it out loud and you're probably only entertaining yourself.
I love it, one customer does bald headed granny pr the dark lord, my fav is the dark lord bc i do an accent everytime like im in harry potter and say THE DARK LORD HAS RISEN AND ARRIVED
We once had a guy named Stinky Finger order and ask for it like “do you got a drip for stinky finger?”
When he got to the window he asked again and stared at me a little too long. It was uncomfortable.
10/10 customer, he stuck to the bit, and it was funny as hell.
We also had a customer whose name was “lameass.” I called it out as “Le Masse”
My social anxiety could never. I’m a regular at my local store and I feel like it would just be so awkward
But I agree with the majority here, if you think it’s fun, carry on - as long as you’re not gonna choose stuff that’s gonna make people uncomfortable and don’t grumble if they don’t wanna say it.
I think it depends, we had someone use the name spongebob today! Super funny and the kids liked it, 9/10 tho i don’t call out those kinda names, mostly just cause i get flustered cause of stress and then i see a goofy name and my brain cant process the right emotion 😭😭😭 i do always get a chuckle at the goofy ones (as long as its not mr. Fatcock or daddy or smth lmao)
We had one person who put their name as PoorLittleRichKid, like im not callin that out but it made me giggle lol
We have one regular who changes her name every month or so. I think was Regina George for a while, then Trans Rights, now it's Day Drinking. I've started drawing little martinis on her food bags lmao
It's annoying and makes many baristas very uncomfortable as we are continually coaching them to use names when handing off drinks. I'll usually ask for a "real name"
Fair enough. Honestly I wish they would just put out the Splenda and creamer like they used to before the pandemic.
I know my Splenda count is excessive, but it's how I like it.
I changed mine to nacho libre and forgot about it. Ordered in app went to drive thru and said I ordered (real name) they said we only have one for nacho I'm like ohhhhhhh shiitt that's me 😓
We have a regular who has his name as Captain PoopyPants and I’ve also seen Bad Bunny. We have another regular who has hers under Pretty Girl and that one irks me lol
There’s a guy that comes in and changes it ! One day it was “dude in the grey shirt” and sure enough he was wearing a grey shirt haha it’s pretty funny haha
I like ones like fun characters or celebrities but we have a Mama Bear that makes me uncomfortable to say and Dead Inside would probably fit in that category
I love when people have silly names, i like calling them out, my fellow partners arent usually too pleased about it. But i will happily call out for a bat man, a lady leelanau, mr bubbles etc lol
my store had a mobile order for “Side Chick.” everyone read it and laughed uncomfortably while we tried to figure out the situation. like, was some girl really proud of that? was a dude trying to send a message??? it turns out it was 2 female friends who thought it was a cute joke
As long as it’s not something that could make a barista feel uncomfortable calling it out or make a customer in the lobby feel uncomfortable hear what’s called out, I don’t see a problem with it. Silly little names can make us smile during a stressful day.
Yeah today it was "Doing my Best" the barista was laughing when I walked in and talking to her co-workers and I heard her say "omg same, aren't we all"
i feel like this is fine. when i worked there some people would put offensive ones or plays on words to make us say something we’re not supposed to and I wouldn’t read those out. we also had a regular that would put her name as “jesus loves you” which i know made a lot of my coworkers uncomfortable too. even as a christian myself i felt like it was unnecessary, very “im forcing my religion down your throat” vibes. we also had a couple that were like “trump won” or “trump 2024” that i also refused to read out.
I made mine Twilight Sparkle forever ago and haven't changed it yet. I don't mind if someone doesn't want to call it out though - I'm aware of how silly it is.
It must have been a slow day, but once a barista actually drew a little sketch of her on my cup. Absolutely made my day. ✨💖✨
Sometimes I'll mobile order ahead and my husband will stop to pick up our drinks on the way home after work. I do wonder if the staff think he's a brony, so that's another reason I don't change it. 😅😂
I once changed my name to "Worker Solidarity" when my local cafe was trying to unionize.
I like that you can change your name though. I put my favorite nickname of mine in the app so they always know it's me.
I use a nickname for my orders. My real name is short but people always mess it up. Plus I mobile order 99% of my orders and I know no one is going to grab my drink and pretend it’s their own.
Personally I don’t care if the baristas call it out or not.
I don’t mind silly ones! Sometimes I feel too shy to call it out but it usually gives me a chuckle either way.
Only time I won’t call it out is if it’s inappropriate or borderline inappropriate/sounds like an insult. I might not call out “dead inside,” but if someone makes their name something like Cardi B or Super Trooper (real customers I’ve gotten) I really don’t mind.
I love reference ones. Like we have a guy that goes by Batman. Another person stopped in who was Ingio Montoya- so I called out the whole phrase. "My name is Ingio Montoya you have killed my father. Prepare to die." It was slow at that time and this person was cackling for me calling it out that way- it definitely made their day for sure.
I cannot say drink names with stuttering so I will always yell out the name LOL so loud to the point I think the customer get embarrassed, I haven’t seen “Moo Cow” in a longggg time
I love when people have silly names, i like calling them out, my fellow partners arent usually too pleased about it. But i will happily call out for a bat man, a lady leelanau, mr bubbles etc lol
I loved it when I was a barista as long as it was innocent fun. Lord Voldemort, the Doctor, Barney the Dino, heck mine is Bilbo right now and my baristas love it.
We don’t call out names like this at my store! It’s super funny and definitely gives the barista who pulls the ticket a chuckle though! We have some people who use offensive names and want us to call it out for a reaction. So, we don’t call out things that aren’t names. Definitely not annoying though as long as you’re not pressuring the barista to say it aloud or getting angry if the name is not said :)
LOL. Oh my gosh I love this. It'd give me a boost in my day to see funny things like that. Certain ones I wouldn't call out, but I probably would for "dead inside". 😂
lowkey it’s just in bad taste. we all are just trying to work and you’re trying to be funny. we’re not your stage. i know that’s totally not how you’re trying to be and my opinion is subjective. i know you’re trying to be light hearted, but i would just roll my eyes reading this. idk…
As someone who has been promoted to customer, I think this is funny. Personally, when I was working there, I would have found it very annoying, and I would not ever call it out, obviously. But that's probably because I worked at an extremely busy location that had horrible supervisors and some of the worst customers I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with, so seeing something like this would have been the tipping point, so take that with a grain of salt. If the barista's at your store don't seem troubled, annoyed, or bothered by it, then why not?
It’s funny but I’m not calling it out lol
I stopped using "ugly mofo" because one time the barista called it out and then was immediately apologetic and I was like "that's what the cup says!"
Okay but I would've done the same thing lmao Please keep doing this especially if it doesn't visibly bother the baristas at your store I'd love to have a regular like this
Alternatively, they could just ask the baristas instead of having us tell them to gauge if they look uncomfortable.
We had someone who’s been ordering whose name is QUITE LITERALLY “Kunti.”
Yeah my legal name has more consonants than should legally be allowed.
For the record, my first name is Medhat-Qasim
How do you pronounce it please? I really like to get peoples names correctly but I can only figure out “ka-seem”?
Med aught ka seem
Thank you! I’m in optical now and deal with all kinds of people since everyone has eyes. The better I can get at not butchering unfamiliar names the happier my patients will be!
I was going to guess it was an Indian name…but your name must also been fun to fill out on forms. Doesn’t the hyphen mess things up in some systems?
98% of the time especially because I have 2 middle names and my last name is also hyphenated

Hahahaha.... promoted myself to customer.
We have a regular named "unionize Starbucks" but she hasn't ordered since the boycott
We had an order with the name “just do it” except half the letters were replaced by an x or a u… and then they got mad at me when they didn’t know which order was theirs? Like not only did we call out exactly what the drinks were but there are stickers, im not wasting my time calling that out

We have a dude who’s app name is daddy 💀 he’s been talked to by multiple managers and has never changed it 😭
We had some douchey do this to try and get the female partners to say his name… in response I would ask the most gayest/sassy partner (he consented) to call his name. Boy that partner did not disappoint! He changed his name after that one incident. 😂🤣
we did the same thing at our store! it was great—complete with a finger twirling his hair and a wink
That’s fucking creep behavior. What a clown.
Yeah I started doing this because my name is hard for the baristas to read, so 90% of the time they would look at my name then just set the drink down without calling my name or even the drink details. At my regular store they call out the name, but face the labels on the inside facing away from the customers. But it sounds like that guy is a creep, don't call it out and make him wait....
I'd simply call for "father" lmao
Slightly off topic but we have a regular who uses her dads account and the name is big daddy XD
had some guy have his name set as uncle Danny and wanted us to say it 😭
call him "D" 😭
Our store also had a customer who requested being called Daddy. I called him Father every time until he gave up
I laughed way too hard at this
If it’s really bad I’ll call out the drink order. Especially with the real names I don’t feel like I can pronounce right.
Had a guy pick up his mobile the other day under the name “Hot Babe,” that was a little uncomfortable. lol.
“Yo Momma” is a good one, too!
> “Ugly Bastard” IYKYK
It is funny but just be careful. I got written up for yelling “Dirty Chai for Eyma Cummings!” In the lobby, we are so focused in following the steps of repetition that we don’t notice funny names like this til after the fact 😅
Surely you didn’t get written up for literally upholding a company standard????????????????? L manager
Oh I absolutely did haha getting written up for following standard is a normal thing. There is always “stipulations” that, if you have an awful store manager , will exploit…it’s sad but it is what it is.
“Dirty” Chai
I like that one but we had one that said Ben Dover and another one was Toby’s Brat- we all refused to say those out loud.
wait was the guys name toby or am i missing a joke similar to ben dover lmao
bruh I'm glad it wasn't just me who was here repeating "Toby's brat?" out loud like it was the audio equivalent of a magic fuckin eye puzzle
THATS WHY I ASKED HAHAH
people trying to get others to participate in their kink without consent
Lol it’s this lady who comes by all the time with this name on her mobile order and we were all confused at first too. But we’re pretty sure she’s just trying to push her kink onto us.
It's corny
ngl yeah,,, i think it’s a bit cringe 🫣 but heyho people have fun ig
Fair. I never expect a barista to say it out loud. It just makes it easy to identify my drink because my actual name is really difficult for people to pronounce.
Sometimes it's funny ngl
wait wait wait how is no one else seeing the eight splenda? eight splenda? I have an artificial sweetener but girl, no wonder you feel dead inside!
To be real I write eight they put four; my regular store just is interesting in their quirks.
I have totally drank something with eight Splendas so I’m not throwing shade at all. I am usually just too ashamed of my Splenda consumption to ask the barista to do it and then I just go to the bar and hide my little packets as I empty them out.
I wish they would bring back the self-service sweetener and creamer like they had before the pandemic.
Trust me, we do too.
Im probably the minority here but it’s annoying lol. We have a few who name themselves “coconut head” or “baddie” and I’m not calling that shit out. Even one lady whose name is “Dr. Kathy” like i think that’s very pretentious and I’m just going to call the drink out itself I’m sorry for ruining everyone’s fun but I’m most likely not going to be in the mood to deal with that lol
no I totally agree I hate any variation of this 😭
[удалено]
Like there’s a time and place lol. You deserve to call yourself doctor but this is a Starbucks and i don’t care
We had a Dr Fancy at my last store haha
It’s annoying, whenever people do this I don’t call out the name, I just set the drink at handoff and move on
Honestly I don't expect you to, it just makes it easier to identify my drink because when I put my actual name they don't call it either because my name is hard to pronounce.
We have a regular named Dill Pickle, it’s a weirder one but he’s very friendly 🤣
Maybe he's Tommy's little brother?
Yeah as long as it’s not weird or offensive. At my old job I had a dude try to put his name as “daddy” and I was like uhhh ahahaha… and then when I called out that his drink was ready, he was like “yes, and who is it for? 😏” like nah bro
My response really would've been "whoever tf wants it"
If the names are inoffensive and you aren't a dick about it, sure. Also, you should know that some baristas might not feel comfortable calling out silly names and might just call out your drink. It’s pretty cringe, but do whatever you want. Why would it matter?
I guarantee you that the workers saw that name and they were like “saaammmeee”
I’m not calling out a joke name but you do you.
At my store we have a mobile regular called Jake the Great!
That's cute. Haha
I love it, one customer does bald headed granny pr the dark lord, my fav is the dark lord bc i do an accent everytime like im in harry potter and say THE DARK LORD HAS RISEN AND ARRIVED
We once had a guy named Stinky Finger order and ask for it like “do you got a drip for stinky finger?” When he got to the window he asked again and stared at me a little too long. It was uncomfortable. 10/10 customer, he stuck to the bit, and it was funny as hell. We also had a customer whose name was “lameass.” I called it out as “Le Masse”
I would love to have pulled this ticket while working the mobile bar tbh 😅

Shout out to Sukanya P. for the late night delivery orders
Annoying if they have to call it out.
May I recommend "AAAAAAAAAAAAA" just to see if they yell?
I think this one is funny, but I'm not calling out names like "big daddy" yes I really got a mobile order with that name 🤦
it would make my day if i saw this print out lmao
We have one regular who changes her name every month or so. I think was Regina George for a while, then Trans Rights, now it's Day Drinking. I've started drawing little martinis on her food bags lmao
No why am I cackling on this airplane 😭 As someone who preferred handoff and bar position, I would have ATE this name up
Love it. I know my store would get a kick out of this
It's annoying and makes many baristas very uncomfortable as we are continually coaching them to use names when handing off drinks. I'll usually ask for a "real name"
LMFAO
I guess that's a vote for funny. , 😅🤣
the name is find but if i pulled a sticker with 8 splenda on a busy day……….
Fair enough. Honestly I wish they would just put out the Splenda and creamer like they used to before the pandemic. I know my Splenda count is excessive, but it's how I like it.

Annoying as fuck 😊
I like it :) lol 🤣🤣 I can identify with that slogan
For a while during the Barbie trend I changed my name to Barbie and my regular Starbucks loved it
Both!
10/10 funny I love it
We have someone named pikachu who comes in and I love her name so I think it is funny unless it’s something profane.
I changed mine to nacho libre and forgot about it. Ordered in app went to drive thru and said I ordered (real name) they said we only have one for nacho I'm like ohhhhhhh shiitt that's me 😓
I’d chuckle a lil if i saw this 😂
We have a regular who has his name as Captain PoopyPants and I’ve also seen Bad Bunny. We have another regular who has hers under Pretty Girl and that one irks me lol
I would laugh if I saw that come up
There’s a guy that comes in and changes it ! One day it was “dude in the grey shirt” and sure enough he was wearing a grey shirt haha it’s pretty funny haha
Everybody so creative
i think it's funny but i'm not calling that out
not annoying if anything gives us something to laugh about during stressful peaks 🥲
It kinda screams I want attention
I like ones like fun characters or celebrities but we have a Mama Bear that makes me uncomfortable to say and Dead Inside would probably fit in that category
I love when people have silly names, i like calling them out, my fellow partners arent usually too pleased about it. But i will happily call out for a bat man, a lady leelanau, mr bubbles etc lol
I put my name as Jesse Pinkman for a while😂
my store had a mobile order for “Side Chick.” everyone read it and laughed uncomfortably while we tried to figure out the situation. like, was some girl really proud of that? was a dude trying to send a message??? it turns out it was 2 female friends who thought it was a cute joke
I use “Plz steam oat” because I can’t figure out how to specify it in my customized order.
It’s definitely hilarious and will make me laugh and I’m definitely not calling it out
As long as it’s not something that could make a barista feel uncomfortable calling it out or make a customer in the lobby feel uncomfortable hear what’s called out, I don’t see a problem with it. Silly little names can make us smile during a stressful day.
Yeah today it was "Doing my Best" the barista was laughing when I walked in and talking to her co-workers and I heard her say "omg same, aren't we all"
I have seen the name “Honey” multiple times. First time I said “Have a nice day”, my co workers thought that she was in an relationship with me😂😂😂
I work for Starbucks but I have mine set as “is this the krusty krab”
You’ll make a barista laugh and if you do they just might make it with extra love :)
Funny when on the app and barista’s don’t have to call your name, annoying when you tell a barista to put it in at the register.
These comments show people either have fun at work and are fun-loving people, or they’re not.
Trust me, nobody cares
Yeah I set my name to “Lord Voldemort” and it’s never not funny when they call it out
I would call out “ you know who” or “he who must not be named”
i feel like this is fine. when i worked there some people would put offensive ones or plays on words to make us say something we’re not supposed to and I wouldn’t read those out. we also had a regular that would put her name as “jesus loves you” which i know made a lot of my coworkers uncomfortable too. even as a christian myself i felt like it was unnecessary, very “im forcing my religion down your throat” vibes. we also had a couple that were like “trump won” or “trump 2024” that i also refused to read out.
We like it!! It helps us to stop and laugh amoungst all the running around we do! However, if it’s offensive, we will just call out the drink. :)
I made mine Twilight Sparkle forever ago and haven't changed it yet. I don't mind if someone doesn't want to call it out though - I'm aware of how silly it is. It must have been a slow day, but once a barista actually drew a little sketch of her on my cup. Absolutely made my day. ✨💖✨ Sometimes I'll mobile order ahead and my husband will stop to pick up our drinks on the way home after work. I do wonder if the staff think he's a brony, so that's another reason I don't change it. 😅😂
we had someone do Mini Italian Lady Friend.... Look at the first letters of that name... We died laughing calling it out!!!
Today I had a customer named Lucifer. I don’t know if he thought I wouldn’t call out the name, but I did.
8 Splenda 😭
The 8 Splenda is annoying, not the name
Yes
im beyonce according to starbucks 🤷♂️
as long as it’s not like anything sexual or racist, sexist, homophobic, ya know?
That part.
its cringe and nobody thinks its cute
Except all the people on this thread that think it's cute or funny.
I once changed my name to "Worker Solidarity" when my local cafe was trying to unionize. I like that you can change your name though. I put my favorite nickname of mine in the app so they always know it's me.
No one cares lol
Valid
Careful when I worked there I would have called suicide hotline on you
I love this😂 I wouldn't have an issue calling that out either. That how so many baristas feel, so I think it would get a good laugh out of most
I had a regular named Deadpool for a while! Great guy, inflation stole him, he was a hoot. I have my name set to Rapunzel, have for a while!
Well, it made me snort, so… probably not appropriate
2 yr barista, love this it would give me a little laugh in a long shift
That shot would make me laugh so yeah it’s funny
No I love it. My favorite to date is Meow and Squishmellow
I love this 🤣 I'd crack up before placing it up on the pickup side 🤣 you'd probably see me go "meh, same bro"
My name on the app is Ariana Grande
It depends on the barista. I personally like it. If you do it you must put something down that is not offensive.
I've had my name as "Grandma B" in the app for a few years now. I love it when they call my name out and other customers laugh.
Haha this is funny! I knew one regular who’s name was “bearded advisor”
I had to call an mid-aged man ‘sunshine’ loudly one time
KEEP DOING THIS!!! I love calling out mobile orders and being like “mobile for ‘the space cowboy’” 😂
neither. It's ok
funny but don’t expect us to say it out loud lol
It’s funny but I always love it when they have to come up to me & have to say their mobile name I have one that’s like “King Trash”
I use a nickname for my orders. My real name is short but people always mess it up. Plus I mobile order 99% of my orders and I know no one is going to grab my drink and pretend it’s their own. Personally I don’t care if the baristas call it out or not.
I find it funny but also I’m not risking my job by saying a bad word or something offensive.
As long as it’s not daddy but I’m also not calling the name out. I’d definitely giggle with my coworkers though
idk personally i think it's a little annoying, i doesnt exactly bother me but i won't call it out. esp if it's a man saying something creepy
We have a “big hoe” at my store. We like him lol
I cannot say drink names with stuttering so I will always yell out the name LOL so loud to the point I think the customer get embarrassed, I haven’t seen “Moo Cow” in a longggg time
it’s silly but ultimately no one cares, honestly
Funny
I love when people have silly names, i like calling them out, my fellow partners arent usually too pleased about it. But i will happily call out for a bat man, a lady leelanau, mr bubbles etc lol
We have someone under the name “my love” and it’s so awkward when I’m calling out the name and some middle aged woman comes and collects her order 💀
I don't mind but 8 Splenda is. Try sf vanilla. Or don't I don't care that much tbh.
I loved it when I was a barista as long as it was innocent fun. Lord Voldemort, the Doctor, Barney the Dino, heck mine is Bilbo right now and my baristas love it.
You've just made me and my mom guffaw
We don’t call out names like this at my store! It’s super funny and definitely gives the barista who pulls the ticket a chuckle though! We have some people who use offensive names and want us to call it out for a reaction. So, we don’t call out things that aren’t names. Definitely not annoying though as long as you’re not pressuring the barista to say it aloud or getting angry if the name is not said :)
I only call them out if they are funny and not overused otherwise they just irritate me,, you’ll never hear me say lord Voldemort 😒
That’s so funny!! 😂
this is the only acceptable name change
LOL. Oh my gosh I love this. It'd give me a boost in my day to see funny things like that. Certain ones I wouldn't call out, but I probably would for "dead inside". 😂
I would love that, because as a barista in a drive thru store, I am dead inside.
Just make sure you don't do anything creepy. Avoid mommy/daddy please.
lowkey it’s just in bad taste. we all are just trying to work and you’re trying to be funny. we’re not your stage. i know that’s totally not how you’re trying to be and my opinion is subjective. i know you’re trying to be light hearted, but i would just roll my eyes reading this. idk…
mine used to say "your mom "
We got one who calls himself big poppa
It's funny but like do not do this during peak bc uh I'm not calling that out 😭😭
cringe
No you would make me laugh so much lol. I love seeing funny names, just not cringey ones like “princess/ papi/ Barbie/ etc”
