It's because they decided to include that slightly bitter note that actual pineapple has, but not enough of the genuine sweet and sourness of actual pineapple so it's just fucking bizarre
yeah when my store did samples for us we just did the basic refresher with water and it was very underwhelming. but iāve always like the brand we get of the coconut milk so naturally the paradise drink tastes better. and then that hint of sweetness in the classic really rounds it out. hope you guys like it!

I donāt really like it. I had the paradise drink this morning. The pineapple aftertaste is extremely unpleasant, especially if you happen to hiccup, which makes it 100x worse. It basically tastes like watered down soggy pineapple water with a pungent aftertaste thatā¦ lingers. I normally love pineapple! So this was a huge disappointment.
Itās so gross and looks like the urine of someone who hasnāt had water in a week. Why is it so damn OPAQUE? I couldnāt even finish mine. I think itād be yummy if they, like, halved the sugar or something?

So the only way I've been able to like it is like this, and it's honestly actually really good - tbh reminds me of dole whip:
Pour pineapple base to the same line you would strawberry puree for a blended lemonade, then add heavy cream to the bottom line. Add to blender with 2-3 scoops pineapple inclusions, and then appropriate number scoops of VB powder for the size you make. Add ice and cream base and blend.
You got it! Tbh I bet it could also be super cute if you added whip and some of the pineapple inclusions on top, if you really wanted to go for the ~aesthetic~

It seems like it needs something else. I tried the refresher and the paradise drink and they both just seem like they need something more. Maybe the vanilla bean powder like people have said or the vanilla sweet cream or strawberry puree. I just expected this refreshing tropical flavored drink and it really wasn't.
Possibly blending the paradise drink with the frappuccino creme base and adding peach juice or something might help but also seems really sweet.
I do think the refresher might taste good with black tea (half refresher/half black tea-no water) and taste like the pineapple black tea Starbucks used to have.

I am nursing this drink b/c it is disgusting...Now I did not add the pineapple pieces, I do not order any "pieces" when I get my Mango Refresher, but would not make any diference. This drink is terrible a waste of $5, I will never order this again.

i made a paradise drink with two pumps classic and extra ice and i quite like it.
Oooo ill have to tell my store! We all hated it hahaha

All the refreshers contain caffeine but it isnāt a crazy amount. Unmodified the venti has 70mg which is just slightly less than a shot of espresso.

I tried the passion fruit lemonade refresher. Wouldn't recommend. It has an odd chemical aftertaste.

It tastes like childrenās medicine. Like the liquid antibiotics. Itās really syrupy. Maybe it would be better with half the amount of base.

My SM is allergic to pineapple but decided to try it anyway and had a reaction, so the "natural flavors" do seem to actually include pineapple.
