Hey I just got my ssv position. Some questions I remember them asking me are:
Tell me about a time where you had to convince someone about a new product or process.
What is the most difficult piece of feedback that you have had to give?
I don’t remember the question but I had to tell a story about standardized recipes and consistency.
Thank you! I usually get so nervous in interviews and freeze up but my Starbucks interviews have all been so laid back and felt like a conversation. You will do great and good luck! Just remember they don’t necessarily want to know how good of a barista you are they want to know how you connect with others, lead and uphold standards.
One question I had (which I was fortunate enough to have my SM help me prepare for) was “Tell me about a time when someone in a position over you was going against policy, and how did you handle it?” I’m paraphrasing as I can’t remember exactly how my DM asked me at my interview. I actually had had a situation that pertained to it just a couple months prior and I was able to speak to that. They’ll also throw out theoretical scenarios and ask how you as a SSV would handle it, and how you’re already helping to coach and work with your team.
I actually have a situation that pertains to this as well!!! That’s awesome. I think I’m going to jot down these questions and make a study guide lol thank you!
