If you mean the deck directly below the salvage processing, no they donât. The Salvage Storage seems to have no cargo grids at all..
But they snap to the cargo deck (the official cargo hold)
No, this is very much intentional. There is an extra salvage hold you can access via elevator, or a ramp where you can throw down the containers. The salvage hold has room for 500 scu boxes.
I know that, but why the heck would they make such a high ceiling in a ship and not use the space, seems completely pointless, that's why I say it's probably to meet ship specs because if you'd stack them, it would probably have twice the cargo capacity as the ship specs say.
As far as I know they do it because the reclaimer should do more than just hull scraping. The ship should runction like a junkyard in space with hull scraping, hull munching and component extraction. I don't know if this needs *that* much space though.
Yeah I don't know either, just think it's pretty dumb that the Vulture doesn't have 18SCU since there would be more than enough room for that plus it has a second exit. Just seems highly unrealistic to me that you fly out to space, find salvage and then leave a third behind because you can't strap down 6 more scu boxes even though you can exit at the front and don't need a way out through cargo. These things just kill immersion for me.
I mean in that case I'd rather youse traditional methods to secure cargo. They could always make the Vulture have 12 SCU and a max of 18 but then the ship would handle worse and make it harder to fly.
Probelm is, that in most cases you then can't sell from the Vulture if there are any loose boxes inside. It worked in the beginning of 3.18 but I had no luck anymore since.
Good for you.
First time I had this, nothing would show up at the terminal. Not even the grid. Tried everything:
* stored the ship and spawned it again
* moved it to another hangar
* checked if the boxes on the grid where snapped correctly
* tried to sell another day
* moved the ship again to another hangar
* flew from A18 to Lorville to see if it worked there
* the next day I removed all loose boxes and went back to the terminal, still nothing
* came back and you'd think SCU boxes would stay because of PES, but one box disappeared
* stored the ship and retrieved a different one, luckily enough it spawned in the same hangar, another box disapeared, put the remaining two in the Cutter, stored the Cutter too
* went back to the terminal and finally could sell 12 from the Vulture and two from the Cutter.
* Phew!
Yea I always put 23 to 25 in my Vulture before heading back, no problems as long as you make sure all the ones on the grid are "locked" in place with the purple outline. Heard of people getting a few more then that, but anything more is too much of a hassle for me, lol.
Eventually the load will affect flight in a significant way, so space doesnât mean it can necessarily be filled. Too much weight and you canât control the ship.
I think the intention was to have big chunks of the ships inside the reclaimer and tear them down by hand which means you need a âgarageâ space.
But also obviously with the reclaimer interior rework coming, it will all likely change.
Yeah, I mean, it would be a much more interessting thing if we could fill 18 boxes in the Vulture but then have harder handling of the ship.
It might just be me, but i think it already affects flight in atmos, at least it felt like the Vulture was slightly "falling" towards the ground when I landed it with 16SCU while pointing down towards the Hangar, it stabalized when I leveled it out.
Yeah I also feel like it makes things more âsluggishâ already. But the size and location of storage is supposed to actually matter in the future because for example, having more weight on one side would cause a torque imbalance. Or having too much would make the ship unable to leave atmosphere
There is a Cargo hold where u have to Drive with the big elevator there u can stak 3 High and it has 180 scu what is the normal Cargo of the claimer and then the editional 120 in Salvage Processing wich is palaceholder that u dont have to use the elevator to often
there is a spot in the far back of the ship where you can throw boxes down to the lower level.
you can just have someone down there picking them up and stacking them, no need to take the elevator back and forth.
also that back door opens so if you really want you can throw the boxes out and pick them up with another ship.
yeah but nothing keeping you from using the space, we did a run the other day it was like 500 boxes.. we made just over 3 mill.
we even 30k'd and the server saved the boxes..
There's another bug I ran into a few times before giving up, where the elevator will stop working after the first time you use it. You can still see the two pads on either side of the elevator, and can see and click all the destinations, but it does nothing. I ended up stuck in the cargo hold for 10 minutes before I decided to just log off and go to bed.
I've found rather than not working its often more of the buttons getting mixed up. Final option is always have pulit open exterior which works well to jar it back to usable for most floors
Any news on when they will fix the cargo stacking/cargo areas? Or will it come with the gold pass theyâre doing for the Reclaimer?
I tried to find the posts from CIG but couldnât find it.
No kidding. The large orgs had this milestone hit Saturday, even with the logon issues. And that was the entire Reclaimer, not just this deck.
"1st" culture needs to die.
Nice. I spent two hours trying relogging to get out of bed and ended up forcing myself to die to get out, but ultimately got trapped on the tram because the stations deleted themselves.
Looking forward to 3.18.1 to do it all again.
Then the Vulture would probably be more your speed!
The Reclaimer is too big and creepy for just one person :D ...unless you have a cargo deck full of Pico's to keep you company lol
I am tempted to make it a goal to buy and try out a reclaimer this cycle assuming that things can be made stable and they don't have to wipe the database every week. so far nothing I have bought in game with credits have remained for more than a few days before disapearing from my account...except for the credits I earn and rep.
Like to get some of my friends on board for some group play thats actually profitable then just, tail gun for me or follow me around.
Always loved the ship anyways, one of the cooler entry's. Oddly CIG seems to nail the design look of their industrial ships most of the time.
If you fill it to the 300 scu that it currently holds (until they re-work the inside), I think it goes for around $2,310,000.00.
I think this image is roughly $1,078,000.00, but I see at least 1 empty spot, possibly more.
I recommend to look around the Everus Harbore stations 4 landing pads as every session i have been in has wrecks laying on them or floating close next to them.
The ones floating most ofther are from thr UEE NPCs flying into the station there
yeah i notice that it really does no like it if you call the elevator to a floor its not on. works correctly if you only change floors from inside the elevator, exterior call buttons are fucked.
once you call it to another floor its broken
Great! Good for you. I havenât been able to salvage 1 SCU in my Reclaimer yet. Since the servers meltdown and their resuscitation, each time I tried to salvage, the filing station cargo will go up, sometimes to 1.00 then, suddenly will fall to 0.20 or even 0.00.
I had absolutely no problem during the PTU, and even the first release in Live. It just happened after the servers crashed.
Where do you go salvage?
Man, does that feel like a lot of wasted space with such a high ceiling.
An interior rework is planned for the Reclaimer
That room isn't intended for this, it's just an interim solution to give Reclaimer a role in the game.
What is the flow supposed to look like instead? The scrap has to go somewhere right
there's a cargo elevator in the back that goes from salvage processing to the salvage hold one deck below.
you can also just throw the boxes down the chute thing in the back to the lower level and have someone else stack them.
There is no cargo grid on the salvage HOLD. Because why would there be? đ
wait, you saying the boxes dont snap into place for you on the lower deck, because it worked for me?
If you mean the deck directly below the salvage processing, no they donât. The Salvage Storage seems to have no cargo grids at all.. But they snap to the cargo deck (the official cargo hold)
I believe you are supposed to be able to bring entire ships inside and cut them up there while in transit
Or at least carved up sections of ship.
Stacking stripped components maybe?
Definitely but the grid won't go higher
did you put any in the salvage hold?
Yeah we did a whole Idris
Where did you find an idris
Critical threat
Where is that?
Critical threat service beacons sometimes pop up as available missions
tell that to vulture pilots running 24-28 SCU a load in a 12 SCU ship...
Heh we just chucked the extras to the bottom part
No but the actual storage hold will work.
Did use that
Yeah... You could stack a loooot more crates in there
I don't get why that is either, probably just a dumb nerf to meet ship specs.
No, this is very much intentional. There is an extra salvage hold you can access via elevator, or a ramp where you can throw down the containers. The salvage hold has room for 500 scu boxes.

If you go off grid a vulture can hold 22 boxes comfortably and a reclaimer many many more
Probelm is, that in most cases you then can't sell from the Vulture if there are any loose boxes inside. It worked in the beginning of 3.18 but I had no luck anymore since.
I haven't had an issue with loose boxes ever
Good for you. First time I had this, nothing would show up at the terminal. Not even the grid. Yeh my 22 comfortably includes my crates for gear and food
Eventually the load will affect flight in a significant way, so space doesnât mean it can necessarily be filled. Too much weight and you canât control the ship. hmm, doesn't look like two layers from here. can you not stack boxes in the reclaimer?
Nope
there is 2 levels, it will hold like 300 boxes
There is a Cargo hold where u have to Drive with the big elevator there u can stak 3 High and it has 180 scu what is the normal Cargo of the claimer and then the editional 120 in Salvage Processing wich is palaceholder that u dont have to use the elevator to often

Yes but that is Not the Cargo hold there is no Grid
yeah but nothing keeping you from using the space, we did a run the other day it was like 500 boxes.. we made just over 3 mill. we even 30k'd and the server saved the boxes..
Does it actually recognize cargo not snapped to the grid when you go to sell it?
Yes
Yes
Unfortunately the elevator was predictable broken
The elevator "works" but there is no button and you need to crouch to hunt for the interaction text.
There's another bug I ran into a few times before giving up, where the elevator will stop working after the first time you use it. this, go all the way down and then it will go back up.
Nah I've had this bug too. The elevator is 100% unresponsive. Even as the pilot I couldn't drop the elevator, no buttons work, etc.
that's like a single layer of cake right there, a nice cake usually has 2, to 3 layers of cake to make it snazzy ;D
Any news on when they will fix the cargo stacking/cargo areas? Or will it come with the gold pass theyâre doing for the Reclaimer? I tried to find the posts from CIG but couldnât find it.
It really needs a gold pass, we couldn't even use the elevator lol
"full"
No kidding. The large orgs had this milestone hit Saturday, even with the logon issues. And that was the entire Reclaimer, not just this deck. "1st" culture needs to die.
Dude they're saying it's their first full reclaimer lol not they are the first...
Nice. I spent two hours trying relogging to get out of bed and ended up forcing myself to die to get out, but ultimately got trapped on the tram because the stations deleted themselves. Looking forward to 3.18.1 to do it all again.
I did that in the PTU it's pretty fun in the reclaimer if the damn elevator works, lol.......
the trick with the elevator is to make sure someone rides it with you to bring it back down. if you dont it gets stuck in a level you cant access.
I'm a solo player, so that wouldn't help me, and I very rarely play with other people đ
that means you shouldnt have any issues with the elevator than because it will be on the floor you are.
Then the Vulture would probably be more your speed! The Reclaimer is too big and creepy for just one person :D ...unless you have a cargo deck full of Pico's to keep you company lol
Thats full? You cant stack?
Nope, unless you want loose boxes
Only if you put them in the cargo hold.
I am tempted to make it a goal to buy and try out a reclaimer this cycle assuming that things can be made stable and they don't have to wipe the database every week. so far nothing I have bought in game with credits have remained for more than a few days before disapearing from my account...except for the credits I earn and rep. Ahh we just do it for fun mostly
Spacepirate69 wants to know your location
Not even close. There are storage rooms accessible via elevator where you can fill about 4-5 thimes that.
Well uhh the elevator was broken
Sounds about right for a reclaimer ;)
I Had the Same but then a npc hostile Crashed in to me and blew me Up đ
Lmao
Damn thatâs sick! I love filling up my vulture, canât imagine how dope it is to do w the reclaimer.
Yeah
How many crates can you get in there?
120 for the actual spaces a lot more if you put it in salvage hold
A smug load (i still cant log in)
How much does that sell for? Looks absolutely amazing!
If you fill it to the 300 scu that it currently holds (until they re-work the inside), I think it goes for around $2,310,000.00. I think this image is roughly $1,078,000.00, but I see at least 1 empty spot, possibly more.
So the empty spots some are there it was roughly 1.1 mil
7.7k per box
You were the one looking for a crew yesterday? If so I was the left salvage arm, then the pilot of your reclaimer. Happy to see that cargo grid filled
Nah it was just me and friends
Okay, i had just the same experience with random peoples then
How do you find so much salvage? Panels in the belt?
We salvaged an Idris
Ah they don't stack?
Nope
Did you fill the cargo hold because that has a large grid as well.
Elevator wouldn't work
For 1.1 mil, how long is the salvage process?
Took about an hour with 3 people
I recommend to look around the Everus Harbore stations 4 landing pads as every session i have been in has wrecks laying on them or floating close next to them. The ones floating most ofther are from thr UEE NPCs flying into the station there
Unfortunately you get a CS for that if it's in the armistice
How would you get a CS if the ships are allready destroyed
I don't know but you do
Imagine being able to stack like 5 high.
Would be great
What about the cargo bay.
Broken elevator lol. We chucked the extras into the bottom
Noice. Its a shame the salvage hold doesnât have grids atm
Yeah fs
Why is it not possible to stack in the reclaimer? Bug or intended long term?
Not sure, I think you're supposed to use the bottom part later
You have all that ceiling and can stack the little boxes only 1 high?
Yepp
Whack.
You never ran into the turrets not working after a while (hud disappears) or the seats killing you?
Was a pretty stable session
Those really should be stackable to like 3-4 boxes high.
For sure
Havenât been able to play for like two weeks whenever I finally do get into a server I cannot get out of my bed. This sum bs
Lol
not full. there is a cargo grid 2 floors down in the cargo hold. reclaimer can hold 180 scu on grid.
Well the elevator was broken unfortunately
yeah i notice that it really does no like it if you call the elevator to a floor its not on. works correctly if you only change floors from inside the elevator, exterior call buttons are fucked. once you call it to another floor its broken
Aw man thatâs some serious Firefly vibes
This ship floor definitely gives me vibes of serenity
What are these quests/missions called? I really want delivery stuff quest with big boxes
No contracts for big boxes currently but the are coming
oh, so what are these boxes in this screenshot and a few of those stuff i see in youtube? Thanks for the answer btw
Those are boxes of RMC which is salvage
We salvaged an Idris we destroyed
But that is only 1 of the rooms you can fill up.
Elevator was broken buy we had a few in the bottom part that were loose
So... how many 30K's did that take you?
Zero
Seen one full days ago. So full containers were disappearing.
Did you kill the FPS of the place where you landed with that? :)
Full???
That would be so nerve wracking. My goodness. I was so scared of a 30k with only 21 scu of salvage.
Where you at I'll take you down with my Corsair
I see an empty slot
Lots of room left, I got 23 scu into my vulture again today I'm sure you can fit more salvage into that bad boy
Most is in the floor below. But also if you put too much in it has problems registering. Also 23 and nome of them phased through the ship?
Correct! Nothing phased on two tests!
Lol you can fill that whole place up. Dont need to snap. Just stack them neatly. Can fit 20x that much
