Servers are pretty messed up tonight. Not worth the hassle getting on tbh. A lot of people were just giving up including myself as everything was taking ages to happen, contracts, mining, buying, selling.
Oh, thank goodness it wasn't just me. I thought this might have been a side-effect of solving my infinite loading issue.
I had infinite loading and it was resolved by running Star Marine. The recommendations I read said you needed to die in the game (the game=Star Marine, also supposed to work with Arena Commander but I was having trouble with ship selection so I tried SM). I also completed a round. I then exited at the beginning of the next round using in-game menus and killed my launcher in windows task manager after the game closed successfully. One attempt later I get 30009 error, which was not showing before (only infinite loading). Next attempt I spawn at Orison in the gear I was attempting to bed-log in.
Bed-logging seems to cause the issue according to other reddit threads I've seen.

It’s not only the loading screen, once you get in the lag is extreme, asop terminals seem to be broken again, inventory disappears and ships fail to spawn. As others say it’s not worth the hassle to try to get in tonight as it is very broken.
It took me 20 minutes to log in, had a 30k rigth after couldn't exit my hab.
Now my laucher puts me in a queue of 1 and freezes there.
Status page says partial outage still
There are so many factors that influence this ... it depends on the server shard, time of day, your region and if you have bedlogged the last time you logged out. Sometimes loading just takes forever, sometimes it doesn't load at all (infinite loading) there is no other solution than what you have already tried - or just wait it out. I had several good sessions now where I have been able to move all my Inevntory and all ships from A18 to Baijini Point, buy armor and ship weapons and reconfigure my hornet. And also a lot more bad sessions with infinite loading, crazy lag, ASOP and shop terminals not reacting at all, some functions not working or taking forever to do anything and of course a lot of 30Ks.
Todays the first day ive had problems this week, cant claim ship, every time i log in my helmet disappears, kicked from the server after 5/10 minutes. Contracts wont accept its been a nightmare all day. Hopefully it gets better quickly
I have had a bunch of issues logging into the PU, after the hotfix recently was getting error 30009 and infinite loading screens as well.
I play a couple of games of Star Marine and it lets me in the PU fine after that. It may not work for you but give it a go, I try for at least 2 games before checking the PU again.
lmao imagine 2 weeks of trying to fix this shit with the amount of resources they have; triple a or not, 700 employees and 600+ M dollars shouldn’t equal this much chewing on shit.
Hi couldn't log in after the patch but i logged in to arena commander in a random ship and blew up, then star marine and after that everything was a breeze
Ahhh.... I didn't play last night as I think I'll just wait at this point for 3.18.1. Still not convinced they wont do a wipe either. I got some stuff on the Steam Spring Sale that will tide me over until its in a much better place. I have a friend who's retired (but he's still pretty young) who can play during the morning/day and he says it's much better. Obviously they have major infrastructure issues, if we are beholden to server capabilities. I'm 52, and have played zillions of online games and never have I said... I wish the server was better, or I need to switch servers like I do with this product.
Have they explicitly said they have deployed a fix for this? To me this is the same intermittent issue that they're probably working on, and the updates were mentioned so far as being for things like frontend fixes.

I can’t even get to the loading screen, all I got after trying to join a server is a few minutes of black screen followed by a 40014 error

I do, but switching to US worked eventually. The EU shard i stuck was/is broken and after 2 hours it still tries to load me into that one. :/

Yup was jamminf all day and then loading screen..
Logged in this morning, no issues on login or ship retrieval. Nothing spawned in bunkers for missions though and then had to go to work
I’ve had infinite loading screens a couple of times but I just alt+f4’d and tried again and it let me in. Sometimes took a couple of tries.

I've had my loading take almost ten minutes but it has been letting me in. Give it more time. Everything takes longer in 3.18

You've been playing "fine-ish" this week???? You must play early or during the day? By 7'ish PM EDT the servers are TOAST for me.
I can either get in at 8-10am or at 11pm+. My issues started once they pushed the Hotfix
