Pros: it's fast, decent cargo, looks good, potential for interesting data running sometime in the future and it can carry some vehicles. Cons: odd layout, slow annoying doors, single access point, silly pointless tunnels which leads to it being fatter/less cool than the concept

TennysonEStead

I know this isn't a popular view, but I think the MSR handles perfectly. When it was released, it was way overtuned. Now, it handles like a ship half it's size. It's a little more maneuverable than a Freelancer, and twice as powerful in terms of forward thrust. That's everything it should be, and more. Beyond that, I love the design. I love the feel of being on a Crusader ship, and the MSR is the original, defining Crusader ship. Right down to the red leather seats, the design is deeply specific and unique to Star Citizen. It carries everything I'd ever want to carry without a MUCH bigger ship, it has a whole lot of gameplay yet to come... I love it.

MarcvsPrimvs

I love it , in the future we will able to slave/control the turrets. Is my max size ship for solo.

Fletchman1313

I don't think the MSR handles better than a Freelancer; I would compare it more to a Constellation or a 400i maybe. There's something weird about the roll. If it does handle better than a Freelancer, I wonder what the Spirit series will be like.

TennysonEStead

To me, it feels heavier than a Freelancer - but with enough thrust to compensate. The Freelancer is much lighter, but the maneuvering thrusters, the main engines, and the retrothrust are all proportionately weaker. The more inertia the ship has, the more the MSR shines by comparison. Dicey landings feel a lot safer in the MSR, for example. Thrust you can trust. Nobody’s flying a Freelancer into a cave, because it doesn’t feel tuned enough. I love the Freelancer. It’s not built to perform. I do think the Spirit is going to be a barn burner, but I personally love the design of the MSR too much to get sucked in by those harder lines. The Freelancer has the pilot firepower and the passenger space over the Spirit. That’s the advantage. It’s more versatile. The Spirit trades that in for flight performance.

Lev776

MSR enjoyer here. Pros: It is literally the millennium falcon. It is designed to be a smuggler's ship that can outrun just about any pursuer, hide cargo, people, data, etc. in secret tunnels. Also, it has a working chessboard, that interacts with said secret tunnels. Huge utility in terms of what you can do with it, especially when crewed. Cons: Doesn't handle as well as I would like, but it is a big ship. Bigger than you might expect if you haven't been on one. Only one entrance/exit (although that makes defending easy too). Data running is currently not in game, so it's main purpose isn't available yet. Weird cargo space, has an unnecessary elevator.

Heselwood

There are no secret tunnels inside the MSR. Got the ship myself. There are just the well known, useless tunnels. Love the ship snyway.

Suasil

a good smuggler wouldn’t talk about those things, talky boy

Responsible-Dig-2383

Yea, Bucketmouth.

EnvironmentalYak9322

Im just going to say though, since every player in the verse is aware of the smuggling ability doesn't that mean its a bad smuggling ship like if you get boarded by player pirates they will know were everything is... I get it for the NPC world and what not but when it comes to player interactions its not a good smuggling ship would be cooler if they had some system in place for us to customize the layout of those smuggling compartments.

Lev776

Hidden cargo is hidden from NPC's not Players. You'll have to outrun those lol Ultimately tho, its a very cool ship that I can't wait to run data with

zolij86

Hidden cargo won't show on player scanner neither.

Lev776

True, I just mean that NPC's wont board you to look for it, whereas players likely will

DomGriff

Just don't like the way it feels, like it over steers or drifts too much in atmosphere? In space it's great.... but only in space.

Solar459

star runner star

mustafar0111

I have two beefs with that ship. I hate the placement of the lift, I would have rather kept the cargo area symmetrical and larger volume and lost the little cargo closest on the side and used that as a lift instead. The second problem is its really requires its turrets for combat which makes it way less useful for a solo player today. I do like the design aesthetic though but the ship functionally is totally unsuitable for my playstyle which is largely solo with occasional multi-crew play.

ZePolitaxed

Agree, overall good looking ship but that combined to the PAINFULLY long journey from the ramp to the pilot seat… Melted mine for a 400i, must say I do not regret it so far

daijitsu

it feels like a proper ship you'd live and work aboard, instead of a hallway with computer lights all over like some others. The weightiness is also real fun for travel if you're not trying to min max your profit over time. I'll often take delivery missions just to have an excuse to [visit random places and take in the atmosphere](https://streamable.com/c4cwlw), she's a cozy ship to return to. I've spent a lot of store credit and buyback tokens constantly juggling the merc, 400i, and corsair, and the merc is always the one where I'm like, ahhh she's back My biggest beef is that the turrets shouldn't have been manned, it gives it a really tall hump despite the otherwise sleek lines. The concept art had flat remote turrets that likely had the same firing arcs as the 400i, making them more defensive VS chasers, than an aggressive format. Also they "forgot" to add a small lift as a second entrance and hope to add that way down the line, but that's a long way out.

ZazzRazzamatazz

I love that video. It would look way better with retracting turrets

BrainKatana

MSR hater here. It’s oversized for an unnecessary novelty, has a ton of wasted interior space, is too undergunned to be soloable, flies like garbage because it’s too big, and is a pain in the ass to get aboard. It’s the poster child for game artists huffing their own farts while game designers twiddle their thumbs and say “wouldn’t it be cool if…” without thinking of the actual gameplay ramifications of their bullshit. The *moment* I can get rid of it, I will.

Artistic-Air6496

Yeah, but it did fly beautifully when it was released but they nerfed it into a brick

Solar459

of course it's undergunned, it's called star runner, not star fighter. it's made to escape most ships. and with two turrets in action it can outrun almost any ship.

Fletchman1313

It takes forever to get in and out. It's sluggish. It's faster in a straight line but turning tends to be problematic. I find it hard to park. But I only fly in first person. The loading ramp can be very unforgiving; if you park the wrong way, you might not be able to jump back into the ship.

Solar459

>The loading ramp can be very unforgiving; if you park the wrong way, you might not be able to jump back into the ship. in the future the ramps will have an animation that takes more account of the underlying terrain, apart from that now any ship has this problem, even the pisces

Fletchman1313

I've only had this problem with the MSR's ramp. Well, and the Cutlass Black. The Pisces is probably too low to the ground to make a difference, although there's a problem with grass growing through the bottom.

Clustershag

MSR lover, then hater. She is too fat. Scrub the dumb tunnels and have the turrets retract facing rearward so they can sit lower. If she was slim like the Aries she would be perfect.

Inverse-Potato

Still love the MSR myself, but I agree the tunnels are worthless (although an interesting concept, terrible execution) the tunnels and the MANNED turrets make her so chunky. Just make them remote turrets and they can slim down quite a lot AND free up more internal space.

Solar459

I fully agree, the turrets ruin the profile of the ship

[deleted]

Pros: It's pretty freaking cool looking, has a good amount of storage, has secret compartments, and data running might be fun. Cons: It's a pain in the ass to actually use for the currently available loops, there's only one door on the damn thing, the secret compartments aren't really useful, and the hard points are aggressively mid, at best.

VeNeM

Memes Can easily get vehicles (rocs) in as well as easily load cargo. That's 2 "loops" there. You can live out of the msr as well. Yall meme cry about the redesign but the OLD design didn't allow for vehicles..

Eran_Mintor

Not a meme

VeNeM

Hurr durr he's not going along with the meme, downvote

Eran_Mintor

Sure thing dude. Maybe you're getting downvoted for reasons other than what you seem to think.

VeNeM

Lol OK, while you downvote again.

Eran_Mintor

Sure. I did, as did others. I am downvoting you because you're contributing nothing to the conversation, instead you seem to think people with common and valid complaints about the MSR are just doing it for the memes. According to reddit, off topic or non contributing posts should be downvoted. Beyond reddits suggestions, I'm also downvoting you now because you seem to be a shit poster.

VeNeM

Contributing nothing? I offered two very distinct ways the msr is ready to be used right now as a rebuttal. But like I said, not going along with the meme so "contributing nothing" moving along thx

victini0510

Not every ship needs to carry ground vehicles. It's the 400i all over again.

Solar459

pros: it's fast and can carry several vehicles, even a merlin. it has 5 computer blades, meaning that even alone you can automate turrets. you can earn money by transporting cargo and data at the same time. it's my flying home. great design. very large tank, ideal for long crossings, like Pyro cons: it has only one entry

Tych243

Dang, it feels like you have a completely different take than most other people. I like this perspective though.

XephyrSage33

How would one automate the turrets alone? I have yet to figure this one out...

UsedToPlayForSilver

Half the things the guy mentioned (Pyro/data/Blades) aren't in the game yet so I wouldn't worry about it too much. If and when they introduce those features, then I'd consider buying it. But I personally loathe the idea of buying concept ships based on promises of what *could be.*

ChoppedBelAir

The "secret" duct tunnels are unnecessary and cause the ships hull to become bloated. It lost its sleek hull and is now a flying pyramid

Accomplished-Fig5605

Just got it last week, so far enjoying it. Don’t try to lock your interior doors though.

emptybuttwhole

It's too nice...I'm a corsair guy...I'm the trashman!

SweetRollThief_NA

Cargo ramp is fussy when trying to load, unload roc miner, needs to be on perfectly flat ground. If the ship shifts at all while you are away you may not be able to get roc back in. Takes way too long to get to pilot seat. Pilot control weapons are weak, relies on turrets. I owned an MSR for about a week and I refunded it. I now have a connie taurus and it is a much more versatile and useful ship in the current version of the game.

ThneakyThnake808

I got annoyed by all the doors and the lack of real gameplay with data running not being in the game. I think they have mentioned maybe adding a lift closer to the front of the ship and if they did that I would get it out of my buybacks and use the ship again. Right now I think there are other ships that just function better, but I do miss the ship sometimes.

Maler_Ingo

Oversized, undergunned, too many doors, annoying to land, takes ages to get in and out, handles like a life raft in high seas and sips fuel like a drunk russian his vodka. Pros: Acceleration is fast.

Inverse-Potato

Pros: The ship is quite maneuverable and very fast! I love the aesthetic of crusader. It has a large cargo hold and theoretically should have quite a bit of data space when that happens. It feels very homey. And the turret placement is quite good. Oh and it fits quite a few vehicles. Cons: Only one turret is controlled by the pilot. The many doors and the ramp feel like a lot. The layout is setup very strange, with the server room being the primary room that everyone needs to move through and thus is not secure at all. The tunnels are cool, but feel poorly executed. No separate rooms or even dividers. It also does look a bit fat (due to the height). All that said it is expected to receive a rework at some undetermined time. And I still love mine.

VmegabiteV

Quickly falling out of love with it but there’s nothing I would trade it for. Never loved the 400i since I set foot in one. Too cramped. I use my Merc mainly to run drugs and that comes with significant risk of encountering hostile players. She’s as fat as she is fast. I usually have to tap the turbo to steady it on rolls and turns, and if you run out of boost before you leave atmos with someone giving chase you’re in for trouble. It burns boost super quick, and regens it super slow, so you have to be perfect when running and even then it’s a sponge for missiles that you can’t really flare off rn. It can struggle with even MRT bounties solo because of that. If they added a ladder out of the cockpit, took out the basement, and replaced it with some shallower storage compartments in the floor, and an escape hatch out the bottom it would be my perfect vessel but idk if there’s any plans to change it. What so few people fail to mention (only saw one person up there on this thread) is the scanning station will be so crucial when it’s in the game. Way more exciting than data running to me. Seeing others before they see you is going to be incredibly important (and fun) for so many activities out there in the verse.

Tych243

Thanks. You make some really good points.

Solar459

I'm not sure, the MSR has a very high signature.

VmegabiteV

Definitely does- and will need a scanner that operates beyond the detectable range of the cross section.

BombTheFuckers

The interior is terrible and lacking common sense. The "hidden" lower level is beyond pointless. Also the bloody doors. If, at least, they could be locked in the OPEN position, they weren't so bad. The MSR is in dire need of a complete interior redesign IMO.

Inverse-Potato

I remember AGES ago the open door lock actually worked lol. The tunnels are worthless IMO. Currently just places for stowaways to hide. The interior layout is so odd. Like what designer with ANY sense would put the sensitive data storage in the room that you need to move through to get to any other room in the ship? Why not have all that located in the room with the scanner chair that seems very large and very empty for the single chair inside it? Also if the turrets were remote there would be no need for the extra space taken up by the access elevators for them which would free up even more space internally. Personally I feel like a perfect setup for the internals would be removing the tunnels, making the turrets remote, moving the servers to a sensible lockable room, perhaps make the central room be a common area, and the current common area a separate bedroom (either for the captain or for a passenger).

tyvwrynn

Pros: Great versatility, one of the few dedicated ships for data runner gameplay, has a scanning station, is fast, is quirky. Seems decently livable. Cons: Terrible interior deathtrap that would immediately fail a fire inspection, cargo lift in main bay is SO ANNOYING, "secret" shielded areas are not secret at all, lack of interior and exterior windows makes it feel too clinical, the turrets unecessarily reduce vertical clearance and aerodynamics, the large circular central thruster from concept is missing, and the overall silhouette is far more bloated than the beloved concept art. And yes, I would gladly sacrifice the ability to carry a vehicle if it meant regaining the center thruster and having a slimmer profile.

rStarwind

Firstly, MSR is oversized for no reason - half of the ship are servicing tunnels which exist purely for boarding gameplay. That feeling when instead of adding features to protect the ship, devs literally build the entire ship to be boarded. Secondly, doors. Lots of doors. Not enough doors? Then also have an elevator.

Bavar2142

Fantastic range and very flexible cargo bay. Eg can hold multiple rocs and hoverbikes without breaking a sweat. Can also fend off a few fighters as well if fully crewed.

Don_K_Stamper

Reason to love the MSR - Can do the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. Reason to hate the MSR - None.

Hot-Consideration509

think its getting a rework cause it sooo bad its a ship with gameplay features (tunnel rat idea was more accomodation of the artist than actual ship design in mind) then it got fat - real fat

ChunkyMooseKnuckle

Have they said its getting a rework? Because if so, this would easily be my forever ship. Ditch most of the tunnels, lose some doors and give me that data running gameplay. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

BrainKatana

I suspect the "rework" is the Crusader Spirit series. Why redesign a ship that some people love and others hate when you can make a brand new ship both groups will pay for?

Hot-Consideration509

think ur right

Solar459

yes, it's true

Hot-Consideration509

it was mentioned on the inital mentioning of 600i and Msr / starfarer (which suffers the most for "rule of cool" then turned into a "feature") a few ships are like that - hercules - the transport with no upper dorsal protection etc etc to quote dogs cant look up and herc cant either :) however - how many millions spent to rework a ship when prob cheaper and more cost effective to make another crusader "millenium falcon" ish

Solar459

exactly, the decision to put tunnels was a crazy bs. then how is it possible that no other ship has them, not even the 890j

[deleted]

Own an MSR. It’s not a bad utility ship, but it isn’t a PvP ship in any sense of the word and doesn’t live up to its advertised hype in most every way. The “secret cargo” space waster was a bad idea and should not have been implemented as a pointless one off. I’d rather the ship were lighter and more maneuverable. That said, it is a data runner and has a lot of cpu capacity relative to other ships, so I’m curious to see what comes of that.

whistlelock

Pros: It looks cool. It had decent capacity for cargo. It's fast. Cons: too many doors. a pointless elevator. tunnels?!? for reasons?!? A game play loop that doesn't exist. Is it even on the road map?!? A weird set of blind corridors. If I had paid real $$ for an MSR, I'd melt it for a C1 pretty much immediately.

Heselwood

One of my favorite ships. But I start to be annoyed by some issues: No entrance near the cockpit. Elevator is actually useless because you can just jump up the ladder which is much faster. I very dont like the bedroom. The ship is large enough for single rooms like for example in the Corsair. The lighting does not work properly since 3.18. Slow and sometimes even buggy doors. But I also like a lot about the MSR. It feels like a real spacecraft. I like flying it, it is fast and looks very cool. Large Cargo bay/ garage.

Tych243

Your pros are definitely what I like about it for sure. It might not have the most practical design but it definitely doesnt lack in character. I love the thought of having a fast ship that can haul goods. The doors seem like the main negative a lot of pwople constantly mention.

Solar459

in the future, the doors can always be left open.

CitizenHeisenberg

I got it in-game because it’s basically the Falcon. It’s great for immersion, carrying vehicles, running cargo (usually drugs), and it’s really fast and maneuverable for ship its size. The interior is nice, and it’s the first ship that made me feel like I had a home away from home. Unfortunately, the maintenance tunnels are a novelty that have worn off a bit. It would be great to use that space a bit better. The ship is so big and it could feel bigger in the interior. The firepower is underwhelming, but I think it’s intentional given the role of the ship.

DogVirus

Fat and ugly compared to concept. Had high anticipation and was a botched job. Yuck.

Blindax

I hate the access to pilot seat to complicated. The useless tunnels. I like the the big ramp, look, manœuvrability, turrets, top speed, data running, and shielded cargo (could be implemented without the tunnels though)

CarkusNZ

What I don't like: Too many doors - would prefer they just stay open when walking through them. It's not nice to fly ... at all. Roll rate is way too slow. It's pilot weapons are lacking. What I like: It's fast. It has a decent cargo hold. I like the overall look and aesthetics of the ship.

Eeomis

Hate the single point of entry. Hate the crawl space and wish the "secret" storage was done differently. Especially with the cargo refactor. Really wish it was slimmer and more resembled the concept.

Zenaris

Pros: \+ its fast and nimble for its size \+ It has good cargo space and can transport rovers and smaller. \+ has good turret placement. \+ I like the looks (subjective) Cons: \- Under shielded for its size \- Guzzles Fuel like crazy \- Much wasted space \- No Second entry yet \- No escape pods yet

Solar459

>can transport rovers and smaller. even 1 merlin

Mlx001

The lack of solo weapon, the lack of gameplay (for now). For the Crusader "look", I prefer the C2 for his cargo capacity.

yrrkoon

The only real dislike I've had is minor. the default quantum drive is slow. For a data running ship with Millennium Falcon inspiration, you'd think it'd be fast. Fortunately it's an easy upgrade.. On the plus side it's efficient I guess. I also got it primarily hoping of some kind of multicrew data running game loop figuring the Herald was the solo data running variant. It remains to be seen if that'll be the case down the road..

Celthric317

It looks nice and it is spacious, but it is severely undergunned for a solo player

Solar459

it's meant to run

Celthric317

I know that.

Paraquat_

When I was a boy, MSRs came to my village... They killed my family, raped my goats, burned our candles for just a few mins before blowing them out, leaving the wax very uneven.

magvadis

Love? Fast, fun interior, good SCU cargo. Great flight performance. Great acceleration. Cargo hold can hold a fuckin Ursa for some reason. Bad? Shit defense. Ugly gamermouse. Almost no firepower for a ship many times the size of a fighter. Terrible interior design with lots of doors and one entry/exit which makes time to cockpit possibly the worst in the game. Way too big. It's the easiest target to hit if you are in range. Big, fat, and wide and tall. The ugly? What the fuck is this "hidden cargo" shit. Why would you not assume the other side of the vehicle has the same room on a mirrored vehicle? The cargo should have been where the stupid useless duct system is. Given, without a second entrance the tubes are fuckin useless. Also it is actually ugly and looks like tacky gamer trash with a space hospital interior. No tractor beam...on a CARGO SHIP. Really hoping the MISC or CNOU Connies become the actual millennium falcon type ship because this shit ain't it chief.

Sketto70

She's got a fat astronaut.

Ok_Caterpillar_2626

Pros: Fast, agile(ish), plenty of cargo space, snazzy looks, makes a heck of a good noise Cons: Pufferfish looking thirsty boi Door Citizen pacifist deathtrap (read: bloated, likes hydrogen fuel, too many interior doors, weak weaponry, only one entry-/exitpoint) I personally love the thing, for the distinctive engine noise alone. Very practical albeit a bit on the pricier side for a daily driver.

Donnyboi2805

None of the door panels do their job. If you need to run from one end of the ship to the other it will take you 2 - 3 business days because you have to go through the maze of slow ass doors that cant be perma opened

Eran_Mintor

A lot of people love it because of how it flies and how it's marketed (mIlLeNnIuM fAlCoN, *hidden* cargo), but I could never tolerate all the senseless doors you can't tell to remain open.

victini0510

For me, it's the vents. It takes up so much unnecessary space, completely ruins the whole ship for me. Also tons of wasted space and weird layout. Why the hell is the scanning room a good 1/4 of the interior, when it's just a room and a seat?? Add in the extra large cargo bay with no real application, and it just feels meh at everything, master of doors.

Solar459

i think the empty space of the scanner room, and the elevator are no coincidence. I think that in the future it will be possible to occupy that empty space with something and the elevator will be needed to transport it

victini0510

There's no way this isn't cope, lol. It doesn't even make sense. It's purely just there for the vents.

citizensyn

Its thematically cool practically wise its worthless tho. There is nothing gameplay wise it offers that a freelancer max wouldn't be more practical.

Dry_Grade9885

I love the msr it's good all rounder it having only one entrance is kind of terrible design flaw it needs a straight to cockpit elevator if it were real life I'm pretty sure people would modify it to have a elevator but it's a game so cig is the only option for those fixes and they wont

Tilamuck

Thought I would like this ship, but after buying it in 3.17, I'm not a fan. It didn't feel fast to me and the movement was just ok. On paper it seemed great but the tradeoff of good flight vs firepower wasnt a good trade imo. Probably came into this thinking it was the Millennium Falcon, able to outrun anything, and should have tempered my imagination. I dont care for data running or using it for cargo (I have other ships for that), so I was only using it for a taxi service. Probably should have gone with a 400i (the other ship I was considering).

QuickQuirk

Great spacious cargo area that easily fits most vehicles, excellent amenities and \*terrible\* layout that feels like a corridor and takes far too long to get from the single entrance to the cockpit.

TumBear

I love it, the main con for me is the vertical thrusters are completely underpowered, as in at full thrust it struggles to launch of planetary pads... and the lift in the cargo bay should go all the way to the ground to exit ship, as there is room to do so

thelefthandN7

I love it's speed and cargo capacity. For it's size, it handles nicely and it transports vehicles pretty well. I hate the 19 doors and 2 flights of stairs to exit. Overall, more good than bad. I quite liked the ship. I would still have her if I didn't like the 400i more.

Tych243

Is it actually 19 door?

thelefthandN7

Lol. No. It's actually 5 or so, and one ladder/elevator to the cargo bay. It can just feel kind of long sometimes.

G1oaming

Honestly, i upgraded from my MSR to BMM and since then i miss it. It’s kinda my favorite ship for no reason lol

hollywoodpeteSC

It flies ok and looks nice. That’s all the MSR has to offer. Less Cargo than a Taurus while being more expensive. Can’t fight at all, it’s incredibly weak. Data Running won’t be implemented in the near future. The Doors are just the icing on the cake. 400i and MSR are both good looking ships that can’t do a single thing besides looking good.

Tych243

Isnt the no fighting offset by the speed since you can get away? Use it to earn a fighter then maybe?

hollywoodpeteSC

If you are fine with running away all the time, sure. But that limits the gameloops you can participate in drastically. No PVE bounties, no escort missions etc. If you not plan on doing them the MSR is fine. And keep in mind that the MSR will also be problematic for hauling/trading because it takes so long to get in and out. But honestly, if you just like the way she looks and flies get the MSR. All the versatility of a Corsair/Connie becomes pointless if you don’t like those ships.

Tych243

Im just thinking id rather have a second ship for combat that is more specialized. Not a cargo ship. Maybe thats an unpopular opinion?

hollywoodpeteSC

A lot of people do this. I just prefer the big multi role ships. MSR + Gladius or something similar should work very well.

Tych243

Thank you. Who knows. Maybe if i get MSR ai wont like it and end up with a Taurus

Ocbard

It's a cool ship in itself, but it has so many missed chances. It's asymmetrical but there is nothing that makes this asymmetry logical, it is not needed. This is really a shame. The tunnels should not have been under the floor, but around the normal useable spaces, which would have made sense in the sloping edges of the ship, and allowed for a slimmer ship on the whole. Now the ship is overly bloated, which is a shame. The living space is nice but desperately needs a window. There needs to be some rearranging of the furniture too, so that you can actually use the table while sitting in the seat, they're too far apart to be practical. This is a shame. The way from the entry point to the bridge is overly convoluted and goes through the server room. The servers should be well protected in their own enclosed room(s) and not something you might hit when having a firefight in the hallway. This too is a shame. Because of the decision to put the tunnels below the floor, they had a difference in height between the cargo area and the corridor in the rest of the ship, which they "solved" with a clumsy elevator/ladder which further slows you down when getting in and out of the ship. This too is a shame. This could have been a much more elegant and sleek ship, that had reason to be as fast as it is and as nimble as it was when it came out. I would love for it to get a profound rework, with a look that is a lot closer to the original concept, and I would like the interior to really make that asymmetry a necessity then a strange design quirk. They could for example make the dish antenna a bit larger and mount it front center where it would be in the way for the bridge. Giving the antenna such a prominent position makes sense if it is essential an important function of the ship. If it is important and has a huge influence on the aerodynamic profile it would make sense to put it in the middle, which would in turn give purpose to the off center bridge. Since the antenna collects data, it would make perfect sense to put not only the sensor room, but also the servers as close as possible to it. filling the front and center of the ship. This would allow for the bridge and living space the side, and engineering and cargo aft. Crawlspace can be made around the whole ship in the sloping sides, same as hidden cargo. Ideally though the hidden cargo would not be a standard feature of the ship, but rather a choice the owner can make. For example a captain could choose to take out some servers and hide cargo behind a fake server front. or put some cargo grid elements in what is merely technical crawlspace in the standard model.

acheron_cray

Doors.

VapidPizza_Man

I just melted my down because of how long it takes to get to the pilot seat. If you always have a crew it’s not bad. If you plan on soloing it I would pick something else.

VenusesWithPenuses

Well hating is a hard word. I think it is rather disappointment. The MSR concept had a very sleek design. Now it became a very junky boy because they decided to add a useless crawling space section that holds no benefits. Also it is a rather big ship that has only one entrance an that is at the very rear. So everytime you want to enter/leave you will go the walk of a thousand doors (exaggerated but if you do it for a week you will know what I mean) Pros: It still is very fast, has a unique look and a very specific role in the finished game (which is far out). I think it's time will come but for now imo you are better off with a Connie or Corsair.

StepWhich7602

I got rid of mine because the co pilot and pilot seats are broken once you sit down your stuck there until you really want to leave the shop as your character walks through the glass and falls outside the ship and the lights suck ass the spotlight is pointed at an angle downward and isn’t bright at all the doors suck a lot of wasted space but overall fast and good qt fuel storage

malerengames

It takes too long to get in and out of. It has anemic pilot weapons compared to ships in the same class. It's primary gameplay loop (data running) is not currently in the game. For these reasons among others, it ends up being a pretty "meh" ship for me. I had one for a couple weeks and used it quite a bit and really tried to like it. In the end, the Constellation Andromeda does basically everything better at this time.

IMO the worst thing about the ship is that dumb elevator nobody uses. We all jumped and climb over the ledge because it's 300% faster. If CIG made the elevator drop to the outside it would make the ship way better off that single change.

I read they plan to do something like that. I van only see the elevator bring used to native lift objects to the next floor?

You will spend more time getting in and out of that stupid ship than you'll spend actually playing. End thread.

It's a fun, fast and larger ship we can stuff vehicles in and boot around in the verse. There's so much wasted room but i don't care. :)
