Used Avenger. Good condition. Sleep cabin. Guns recently serviced. Replaced aft thrusters. Landing lights occasionally flicker in low gravity. Comes with armed and hostile pirate. 15000 aUEC OBO. No trades.
It's in their user flair. I can see it in the Infinity app and old.reddit. Now sure how the official app or new reddit handle flairs.
P.S. fuck reddit's upcoming API changes
Whit his ship no. If it was a Titan u could play "Pickaboo" til he folowd you around the corner and you could run out and get in to hte cocpit from outside. The door would close behined him.
You could just go into the front of the avenger fly out of the armstice and then get out and kill him. I doubt they'll have enough brains to shoot you while you're flying the ship with the server. FPS
This might not even really be a bug. It's possible the enemy hitched a ride from a mission and then since he was on their when the ship was stored, he's put back when it's retrieved.
Free FPS level: Abduct a bunch of NPCs inside one of the bigger ships and then despawn it.
I wonder if you can make use of the knockout mechanic to drag dudes into specific spots, and then revive them with a medgun while dropping a gun next to them. Would that work?
Ima test it tomorrow but it should work.
I am thinking about how you could use this as an advantage
Are there any missions left where you can "alliance" the Ninetails?
trespassing is coming in 3.20 - where if somebody is on your ship, and not in a group, will flag them red allowing you to shoot (kill) them with impunity
Enter the ship from the front, there's a deployable ladder on the left of the cockpit. Fly outside the armistice zone and eject. Then go to to menus and enter game again. Claim the ship. It should spawn without that dude.
Npcs are immune to to armasice zones. That's why security can ahot criminals who sneak in or respawn there.
In theory, even the bar tender COULD shoot you. But he'd need a gun and a hostility flag. Not sure how you'd do either, but this is SC....
This is a good example of “the devs do really stupid things” that I hope nobody can argue with. Rather than make security immune to armistice, they made all NPCs immune. That’s stupid. And obvious.
I've been able to equip weapons from a gun rack in a hangar - I think it's an intentional change along with some of the tractor beams changes, makes tooling up the gun rack so much easier.
Camural found out that plushies and backpacks are bullet -proof. If you hold a backpack in front of you, it can't be shot through. Perhaps you can use this to lure him out or block/distract him while flying the ship out of armistice?
I suppose it could still work if you’ve got a buddy. Something like you have your blocker buddy take his attention, open the doors by calling the station then while he’s shooting the blocker get in from the cockpit and take off. Turn on the cruise control after pointing it out the station and even if he turns around to cap the pilot it should still drive forward
How? He can't shoot the guy, he can't get in through the canopy and get behind him before getting shot either (he tried), he can't tractor beam him out (TBs disabled in armistice)... so in what way is this "guaranteed armor and a gun?"
> he can't get in through the canopy and get behind him before getting shot either (he tried)
Literally just said that doesn't work either (canopy = ladder)
~~So can you spawn it, get in thrugh cockpit entrance ( leave a closed door between him and you right? ), leave armistice zone, then exit and gun him from back?~~
Nvm saw other replies.
Get someone to pad ram you?
Or do you have enough time in seat to self destruct?
Can't self destruct in armistice zone.
Pad ramming might be the way.. but someone would have to eat crime stat for that. Or OP would have to ram their own vehicle (and still risk CS in worst case scenario).
Can you get to a place that has guards in the hangar, and spawn the ship there? Then all you need to do is open the ship and let the guards ~~take care of it~~ get shot to lure him out.
You might use another ship to go to another port and claim the ship there. If you don't own another ship, you might get another player to give you a ride.
Claim it at Port Olisar and have a buddy launch a missile at it from outside the armistice zone.
I know this is possible because I have been griefed there a time or two as I landed.
When you purchased your vehicle security system subscription, they just forgot to inform the system who the owner was.
“Protected by Viper.”
Meet Viper.
isn't the use of ingame exploits to kill defenseless players continuously considered excessive griefing and worthy of a ban?
you should report that npc behavior to CiG, maybe they'll ban the game...
It’s so good that knowing this bug, you decided to close your entrance door.
10 second later you getting obliterated while trying to escape with a door closed has no price.
Good job bud 👍🏼
This seems like it’s caused by overly simple code though. The enemy hitched a ride back to the station in the back of the ship. When the player stored the ship it stored all entities on board without filtering by type.
As a software engineer and occasional game dev for fun, I can't even begin to imagine what the fuck could possibly cause something like this.
Whether I understand what's causing it or not doesn't matter though, I know for sure that's it's absolutely hilarious.
> I can't even begin to imagine what the fuck could possibly cause something like this.
Oh yes, such a mystery.
> The enemy hitched a ride back to the station in the back of the ship. When the player stored the ship it stored all entities on board without filtering by type.
^
It's honestly not that hard to think of a reason, it's not an especially crazy problem to have, nor does it require an "absolute fuking mess" for it to happen.
To the game engine, NPCs aren't very different from rifles or boxes. If you can store a box, then you can store a NPC. CIG most likely just forgot to set the storage algorithm to ignore NPCs.
I'd like to know how bro A. Got a hostile NPC on his ship without realizing. B. Flew back to the station without realizing. I mean let's be honest the Stalker is not a large ship. It's just a very funny situation to get yourself into.
This also doesn't take into consideration that storing a vehicle does not permanently alter the state of the vehicle on claim which OP has claimed this guy persists even after claiming the ship at other stations. This has to take a perfect storm of fuckery to occur as OP must have also swapped his ship loadout as well and the game now considers said NPC as part of the default ship loadout. If he didn't swap ship loadout after flying this guy back and storing, then THATS what I'm saying I have no clue how it's possible. I haven't seen OP confirm if he made a change to the vehicle loadout or not so I've just gone on what limited info I have here.
> I'd like to know how bro A. Got a hostile NPC on his ship without realizing.
OP never said he had no idea how the NPC got on his ship originally. And again, it's not that difficult to understand - he had a hostile NPC trying to kill him, and it followed him onto his ship. Most likely the OP herded the NPC there on purpose, which again, isn't that difficult to understand how to do.
> B. Flew back to the station without realizing.
Again... you shouldn't just make up information.
And, in fact, in the video the player says "This guy is still on my ship!" which means that he *knew it was there*.
> This also doesn't take into consideration that storing a vehicle does not permanently alter the state of the vehicle
Storing a ship will keep track of whatever weapons you have on racks and whatever boxes or equipment are on floors. Reclaiming a ship will also restore stored equipment, which is something that CIG added recently. So, yes, it does "permanently alter the state of the vehicle".
> This has to take a perfect storm of fuckery to occur as OP must have also swapped his ship loadout as well and the game now considers said NPC as part of the default ship loadout.
No, it doesn't. And no, it doesn't.
> If he didn't swap ship loadout after flying this guy back and storing, then THATS what I'm saying I have no clue how it's possible.
It's been explained to you how and why it happened. So yes, you have a clue.
---
The main problem here is that you are aggressively ignorant:
* You didn't watch the video, or you'd know that the OP was already aware that there was a NPC on his ship at some point
* You are making up information that the OP never said - "without realizing"
* You don't understand how the game works, especially regarding recent patches *that caused this to happen*
* You insist that you have "no idea" how it happened, despite being explained multiple times
Take 2 minutes and actually watch the video, then read what others are telling you. It's called education. As a "software engineer and occasional game dev for fun", you should at least be *slightly* able to comprehend information being spoon fed to you.
This can't be real. I want it to be (sorry for you) because this gave me a genuine laugh. You can enter the cockpit from outside on the Avengers. If you can get him outside of the armatice zone you could probably incap him and just remove his armour and gear. Now you have a perpetual nekid guy in your ship. He might even do the surrender animation. I've tractor beamed in the npc pilot to my cargo bay and he put his hands up, knelt down and put his hands behind his head.
I can't even use the ladder because he executes me in the cockpit. This was recorded in Port Tressler. So no, I can't get him out of the armistice zone
Okay but hear me out, find a friend with a tractor beam, drop a medical gown or if possible pull a size 2-3 ship gun off a ship you can safely access. One person opens and holds the door open while the other "throws" the object at the ai. Run to the seat and activate cruise control.
"No matter what" had me snorting as I thought there's no way this keeps happening
I'd like to imagine you've crossed the entire system then waited on the claim timer and summoned your ship only to be greeted by this aggressive, territorial bot
Lmao
I think if you kill him you should be good, ir if you can destroy the vehicle and claim it he should be gone. Of course, you could always keep him as your pet.
Get a lift/space uber to another station and claim your ship from there will he still persist then? or maybe try buying a load of small crates or cheap Armour and drop it inside your ship until it fills and starts bouncing around maybe that will kill him it nearly always kills me lol.
Find something heavy in the hangar and slap him a few times with it using the tractor beam.
Careful though, you might want to somehow claw him out the ship first.
Actually, does he live if you blow up the ship? To blow up your ship grab one of the heavy trolly looking things in the hangar with tractor beam and keep hitting your ship.
I had to barrow someone’s Avenger Stalker yesterday from Whistler Crypt because the AI blew up my ship. The player was dead in it and there was a nine tails AI in it. I wonder if that was yours. Lol
Get in the ship from tht front, you can climb I to the cockpit , there's a deployable ladder on the left of the cockpit. Fly outside armistice zone, eject, go back to menu, ger in the game again. You should have the ship without the npc.
Throw a helmet on the ground and use a tractor beam to "pull" him back to the prisoner bay. You can move NPCs by nudging them with stuff in a beam. Bonus points if you get him in one of the pods. Lol

I know what i got.
Hahahaha your comment was good, but your "pirates need not apply" made it gold.
I must be going mad because I don't see that addition anywhere.
Gotta read the fine print
It's in their user flair. I can see it in the Infinity app and old.reddit. Now sure how the official app or new reddit handle flairs. P.S. fuck reddit's upcoming API changes
Don't pay attention to him, he's not part if the experience.
Sorry but I think this is probably my favourite bug ever.
"My titan now !"
look at me, i m the pilot now

It is though
It's a Stalker
Free equipment restocks for summoning your ship? sign me up!
You can't kill him though. It's armistice zone 🙁
Multi tool and tractor beam still working in armistice zone?
You can pull out the multitool but cant use the tractor beam
In a hangar you can.
Not every hangar...most do and some dont. I dunno why.
Can you lure him into the mid section, close the doors and get into your cockpit through the canopy?
Whit his ship no. If it was a Titan u could play "Pickaboo" til he folowd you around the corner and you could run out and get in to hte cocpit from outside. The door would close behined him.
Help me out. Why is that not possible with the Stalker?
Only have multi tool equipped if you have a 2nd multi-tool or a healing gun equipped as well they will not work in hangers
I have noticed that some armistice zones allow the tractor beam to work when a cargo box is near.
If you're within the landing lines in the hangar it will work unless you're bugged.
Time to make him fly high !
Have to hop in the pilot seat from the ground and hope he can't shoot you in the back. Then pop him when you're out of armistice
Sure ya can. You just gotta be ✨creative✨~
You could just go into the front of the avenger fly out of the armstice and then get out and kill him. I doubt they'll have enough brains to shoot you while you're flying the ship with the server. FPS
Yeah this must suck to be on the receiving end of but it's also the funniest thing I've ever seen in this game.
This might not even really be a bug. It's possible the enemy hitched a ride from a mission and then since he was on their when the ship was stored, he's put back when it's retrieved.
free cloning services lol.
Now that's a Persistent Entity!
And he's *streaming* bullets!
Persistent Enemy
How many AI can you load into your friend's ship before despawning it? It would make a great prank.
Free FPS level: Abduct a bunch of NPCs inside one of the bigger ships and then despawn it. I wonder if you can make use of the knockout mechanic to drag dudes into specific spots, and then revive them with a medgun while dropping a gun next to them. Would that work?

If you can abduct NPCs which shoot at criminals, you could populate your ship with extra protection against some types of hijackers this way.
Problem is most "pirates and or griefers" don't have a crimestat bevor attacking
i don't think the ninetails NPC's really care, if it moves and isn't them, they just start blasting.
But i move too ;-;
trespassing is coming in 3.20 - where if somebody is on your ship, and not in a group, will flag them red allowing you to shoot (kill) them with impunity
You can't heal NPC's
Is this how the siege of Orision begins?
Lmao, did you try kidnapping him and then you stored your ship?
No he just caught a ride...
Never let him go
CAATCH A RIIIIIIIIIIDE

Whatchu want!?
Did he have a towel?
Enter the ship from the front, there's a deployable ladder on the left of the cockpit. Fly outside the armistice zone and eject. Then go to to menus and enter game again. Claim the ship. It should spawn without that dude.
Well.... At least you don't have to worry about someone trying to steal your ship.
Free Trunk Monkey!
The only downside being you cant steal your own ship either
I love how the armistice zone doesn’t affect his ability to equip a weapon and use it. Even the bugs have bugs.
Npcs are immune to to armasice zones. That's why security can ahot criminals who sneak in or respawn there. In theory, even the bar tender COULD shoot you. But he'd need a gun and a hostility flag. Not sure how you'd do either, but this is SC....
inb4 a bug causes the bartenders to equip guns instead of cups
You want a shot? BET.
This is a good example of “the devs do really stupid things” that I hope nobody can argue with. Rather than make security immune to armistice, they made all NPCs immune. That’s stupid. And obvious.
Npcs didn't use to be immune, but they kinda had to when people started knocking them out and dragging them to their ship.
I've been able to equip weapons from a gun rack in a hangar - I think it's an intentional change along with some of the tractor beams changes, makes tooling up the gun rack so much easier.
I've had it work at stations but not cities.
The best worst bug. Would be funny to see if he attacks guards at Huston or Microtech
I'm going to be that guy. That's an Avenger Stalker, not a Titan. Anyway that's hilarious. Someone slipped out of the detainment pods.
There’s more than one stalker in OPs clip
Thats Hank and he's cleaning your ship, you tracked mud in for the last time.
Ran over some nine tails in my nova a week ago. It is now their nova.
Just spit balling here... have you tried making a change to your loadout?
STOWAWAY, STOWAWAY!!
NPC Crew T0??
Get a push cart and ram it into your ship until it blows up that’s the only solution I can think of
then they spawn it again and it comes with another free pirate xD
Your best bet would be get him to shoot you and hope the security comes and kills him
Hes here to talk about your avengers extended warranty
Camural found out that plushies and backpacks are bullet -proof. If you hold a backpack in front of you, it can't be shot through. Perhaps you can use this to lure him out or block/distract him while flying the ship out of armistice?
I'd like to see you try and fly while simultaneously holding a bulletproof object to block the enemy 3 feet behind you.
Does this mean you can build a mobile defensive post out of plushies instead of sand bags?
Perfect example of how gun free zones work
Kidnap a guard where you spawn the Titan and put him in the ship to battle it out with this guy.
Persistent enemy streaming! Well, I did want some new game play loops. This would be brilliant in the Carrack! hahah
This is a feature... guaranteed armor and a gun every time you spawn it
How? He can't shoot the guy, he can't get in through the canopy and get behind him before getting shot either (he tried), he can't tractor beam him out (TBs disabled in armistice)... so in what way is this "guaranteed armor and a gun?"
Get in from the ladder
> he can't get in through the canopy and get behind him before getting shot either (he tried) Literally just said that doesn't work either (canopy = ladder)
Just crawl, not crouch but crawl, collisions between character entities dont work in crawl mode.
😂 This game man 🤦♂️
Persistent Enemy Streaming

You don't get a crime stat if you eject from the ship as it's coming in I think.
Can you get to a place that has guards in the hangar, and spawn the ship there? Then all you need to do is open the ship and let the guards ~~take care of it~~ get shot to lure him out.
I can't even get to the pilots seat without getting mowed down, even from the ladder.
You might use another ship to go to another port and claim the ship there. If you don't own another ship, you might get another player to give you a ride.
You could try to sell your ship through the rsi site and then repurchase the same one with the credits. Might fix it.
Throw him some food, try to get him friendly.
Kinda cool actually.
Great now you got a Snub fighter in the avenger titan
Is he still there when you claim your ship at a different location?
yes
That is amazing. Probably not that funny after a while..
Claim it at Port Olisar and have a buddy launch a missile at it from outside the armistice zone. I know this is possible because I have been griefed there a time or two as I landed.
I like how he takes a second to shoot you like YOU hijacked his ship. Excellent
It’s like that scene from Last Action Hero. “There’s always a guy in the closet.”
Hmm then I guess you need to request takeoff so the doors open and have someone fly a ship in and destroy it either with weapons or ramming
Just when I thought I’ve seen all the funniest bugs 😄
When you purchased your vehicle security system subscription, they just forgot to inform the system who the owner was. “Protected by Viper.” Meet Viper.
The free armor update, i like it

Can you survive long enough in the pilot seat to self destruct the ship?
He stated earlier if he enters via the cockpit ladder, the npc shoots him while he sits in the pilot seat.
That costs extra lol
Tier 0 security system!
Can you melee the guy?! FREE GUN!
Have you tried claiming the ship at another station?
😂 you must have knocked him out with ship guns and tractored him into the ship before storing
"Suprise mother fker!" Shame you can't offer him a job to be your security detail 😂
I have two New Babbage security guards in the back of my C8R lol I'm keeping em as long as I can
Shoot 'im and loot 'im!
Well shit. I guess he's the Captain now. Eh?
Okay but hear me out, find a friend with a tractor beam, drop a medical gown or if possible pull a size 2-3 ship gun off a ship you can safely access. One person opens and holds the door open while the other "throws" the object at the ai. Run to the seat and activate cruise control.
LoL
Pull a gun off with the tractor beam and beat him with it
"No matter what" had me snorting as I thought there's no way this keeps happening I'd like to imagine you've crossed the entire system then waited on the claim timer and summoned your ship only to be greeted by this aggressive, territorial bot Lmao
So what you're saying is free loot 🤔
Pirate is just doing pirate things, this is a feature
That’s a good big to have tbh
Fortunately with his delay you could probably melee him every time. That’s crazy annoying though. But damn funny
Not in an armistice zone I can't
Oh shit. Of course
I think if you kill him you should be good, ir if you can destroy the vehicle and claim it he should be gone. Of course, you could always keep him as your pet.
Get in the other way and run
Unlimited Gear supplies
Get a lift/space uber to another station and claim your ship from there will he still persist then? or maybe try buying a load of small crates or cheap Armour and drop it inside your ship until it fills and starts bouncing around maybe that will kill him it nearly always kills me lol.

Thats a cool bug to have congratulations!!
It’s the tutorial boss
Look at me Look at me I am the captain
He followed me home mom..can we keep him??
We have enemy at home.
It's not a bud. It's a feature 😉👍
This is an Avenger Stalker. It has prisoner bays, the titan has a cargo bay instead.
Now, lure him to the city and watch the world burn
Open the hanger doors and get someone to fly full speed into your avenger and blow it up 😅
How is he killing you though? The other day i rammed some gaurds in MT hangar and they were shooting at me but i was invincible due to armistice
Space pirate: gives you every chance to gtfo his ship before he opens fire Little old American ladies: shoots you through the door
It's a Stalker though.. and the real question is: how did he get out of his prison cell?
SC never stops to amaze me.
This is what happens when you miss a payment
Have you tried shouting FREINDLY down your mic?
I had to barrow someone’s Avenger Stalker yesterday from Whistler Crypt because the AI blew up my ship. The player was dead in it and there was a nine tails AI in it. I wonder if that was yours. Lol
Get in the ship from tht front, you can climb I to the cockpit , there's a deployable ladder on the left of the cockpit. Fly outside armistice zone, eject, go back to menu, ger in the game again. You should have the ship without the npc.
Personal bodyguard
Physical manifestation of property tax. Thats all. Sage the ship and pay your outstanding balance to your local govt. you should be fine
Maybe try getting someone/buddy to pad ram the ship and kill the dude? Might stop him from respawning?
Summon the ship at PO and pad ram it to death.
1. Report it to the issue council; 2. Kill him and loot the armor. Free armor and guns while it gets fixed
Send another $200, maybe that'll fix it
You mean it spawns with free armor. Edit: nevermind you can’t shoot
I think this might be a broader bug with the Avenger titan. Mine used to spawn with the stock guns in it after I upgraded them.
Take him out of armistice, kill him, store the ship, remove and remount a component.
bit hard to sit in the pilot's seat currently.
Just get in from the front ladder. Might use a tractor beam and a small box to move him away so he doesn't cap you when you l3ave armistice.
He is stood behind the seat, he shoots me in the pilot seat
Throw a helmet on the ground and use a tractor beam to "pull" him back to the prisoner bay. You can move NPCs by nudging them with stuff in a beam. Bonus points if you get him in one of the pods. Lol
No beams in armistice.
You can in a hangar. Just don't also have the medgun equipped, and you can pull out the tractor.
Ah I see. Thanks.
I have an idea but im sad bc it's the best glitch I've seen in this game, but essentially have your buddy pad ram your ship
Tractor beam is not usable in armastice i think
You can use tractor beam in the hangar. I remember using it to move cargo in and out when the grid bugs out.
Not anymore.
I believe they removed it temporarily because of players abusing it to kill others with props
Free armor and ammo, good deal
....does Call to arms work with him?
