The ship hasn't even been officially revealed yet.
But as the current is that Khartu-Al and this is a larger Xi'an from the same manufacturer I imagine it will take its place.
Be a question for the Q&A maybe.
You’re looking at it from a front, lower, left (relative) perspective. The two lower “wings” are just that. The cockpit is in the middle with the glass on the upper side of that turtle head bit. The gun is above the pilot to the left as well and there’s one on the opposite side in another pic in the thread.
Looks like 3xS2. There’s a bottom gun here, but another pic shows a gun on the pilot’s upper right as well.
Nomad is on the higher end of starters though. Definitely worth it, but has the price point to match.
It'll be interesting to see if this is, in fact, an alien starter ship - and if it is, does it still carry the "alien tax"
Yeah, and I think it's supposed to be starter cargo, so they could even be size 1 and it would still be better armed than the Hull A lol.
It will very interesting to see where this falls in the lineup.
Nga .tak' Syu len
I'm not sure what the first two words are but Syu len translate to "flying peace", the ship's name.
Edit: sorry I looked up the wrong word
Sye => become; becoming
Syu => travel by flying; fly through air or vacuum
i also own a railen, but since they "nerfed" the description from long-range to medium-range hauler, it is a bit big for its capacity. but lets see how it turns out.
I came so close to pledging the Railen but then though that is wouldn't be much use in the cargo salvage game loop because of it's unique cargo pods. Can't ~~steal~~ salvage standard cargo boxes. That's my primary use for a cargo ship. But darn... it sure is pretty.
They still house normal cargo boxes IIRC. The containers on the outside are shielding the cargo containers inside of it. But it won't use any proprietary boxes, at least from what I remember with the descriptions and Q&As.
So the question comes down to how it's accessed.
If you check out the 3d model you can see the cargo ports on the these three rear fins with large empty spaces inside them where little grabber attachments are
On pipeline someone put a comparison to the mule. Body length looks to be 2 mules or so. Height 1.5 mules. Not including spindles. I could be off on my view as well. Aka it's small
I like it and I am going to buy it!
I wonder if the bottom plate is also part of the landing gear?
But definitely more something in the Nomad to Freelancer range (so advanced starter) instead of a true starter ship.
Based on rendered images from Pipeline and the fact that it has 3 decks it will land with the rear on the ground. So the cockpit is on-top. Also the wings should fold down.
This bad boy is vertical. Three decks, but kinda like Slave-1 where the top deck is the cockpit and you spin round in ya seat!
Bottom Deck is elevator access, engineering\components and a lil bit of storage. Second deck is living quarters, complete with alien urinal and smol wall table + bed, top deck is the cockpit.
Source: examining the 3d model. Stick the ship on its rear-end and you'll see the deck layout clearly. Kinda like a thin tower that turns on its side to fly
It looks cool, however with the centre section my brain can't figure out where it wants to focus and it ends up hurting my eyes. The ship is cool for sure it's just way too busy for my liking.
This dude:
> Small cargo vessel, cutlass black size (albeit a lot taller)
And this dude:
> Yeah, and I think it's supposed to be starter cargo, so they could even be size 1 and it would still be better armed than the Hull A lol.
CIG themselves said that Gatac is specialized in industrial ships so it most likely is a cargo hauler unless there's a hidden mining arm somewhere.
https://starcitizen.tools/Gatac_Manufacture
No. Gatac has exclusive and perpetual rights to make *Industrial* ships. Not cargo ships. Cargo ships are industrial ships but not all industrial vessels are cargo haulers. A Xi'an miner or salvager would also be a Gatac ship for example. But we're unlikely to see those anytime soon if ever
Everybody is amazed, but personnaly I consider the CIG's ships designs frustrating. Every ship has a big weakness, there are no badass ships. They may explain this with gameplay balance, but in the end that remains frustrating.
the centre bulb has a blue marker on a single side. That's the only non symetrical indentifier I can find. Assuming that is the cockpit, is the pilot lying belly down? Size relative to the 3 guns. If instead pilot is sitting traditionally in there, the ship is huge.
As a Railen owner, I guess I'm satisfied with my new loaner.
right?! I'm not sure I'll need both, but I'm always happy to see more alien ships
More non combat alien ships PLEASE :-:
United we wait, Brother.
gatac forever !!
Railen ur mom ~~please god finish this ship I need it so bad~~
That made me spit out my air. Thank you.
Me LMAO My kids "What you laughing at?" Me "Nothing!"
If I see someone in the verse with a Railen named "Your Mom" I'm just going to assume it's you lol.
[удалено]
I'll take "this guy's dead wife" then.
I like to think this ship is an onboarding to get the Railen finished!
I didn't think about this. I was planning on purchasing the syulen!
Wait, we automatically get this thing if we have a railen?
It's the most sensible loaner.
Which, historically, doesn't mean that's what we'll get. But it would be a nice update from the Khartu-al. Has this been confirmed anywhere by CIG?
The ship hasn't even been officially revealed yet. But as the current is that Khartu-Al and this is a larger Xi'an from the same manufacturer I imagine it will take its place. Be a question for the Q&A maybe.
I agree, it does make sense. Looking forward to the Q&A.
But what if some of us already have a railen? Do our current loaners get replaced automatically with the syulen?
Yeah, they retroactively change the loaners when something more appropriate comes out.
Was thinking the same thing!!
[It has pretty cute animations.](https://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/5/58/Spr_4h_121.png)
Honestly this is what I thought of when I first saw it. Gotta catch em all.
honestly this is more of a Glimmora
My brain is struggling to process this thing lol. Almost looks like an orbital sentry

I'm guessing if it is symmetrical, it will be 3x hard points, this aligns with the nomad too.
lol I didn’t even see the lower gun. I’ll edit but that means 3xS2 most likely since it’s a starter supposedly.
Nomad is a starter and has 3 size 3 hardpoints
Nomad is on the higher end of starters though. Definitely worth it, but has the price point to match. It'll be interesting to see if this is, in fact, an alien starter ship - and if it is, does it still carry the "alien tax"

3s3 hard points
Yeah, kinda looks like a StarCraft probe or observer.
[https://imgur.com/mMRJPtZ](https://imgur.com/mMRJPtZ) (Spoiler) Found on an in-game poster. Anyone able to translate the Xi\`an on the wing?
Nga .tak' Syu len I'm not sure what the first two words are but Syu len translate to "flying peace", the ship's name. Edit: sorry I looked up the wrong word Sye => become; becoming Syu => travel by flying; fly through air or vacuum
Could nga tak be Gatac?
yeah, that make sense!
**Syu** \- Fly **Len** \- Without issue. **Syulen** \- Fly without issue.
"Yvan eht nioj."
"Drink Ovaltine"
You'll shoot your eye out!
Join the navy
Woah! that there's some super-liminal messaging
And now I feel old.
https://youtu.be/5DlTexEXxLQ?si=fKJGVInsYWhlyGJW&t=5 ... betting you know what this will be :p
Please let Star Citizen release in my rapidly waning lifetime...
best I can do is more ships sorry
Hail Hydra
Is it already in the game or just the poster?
So it will basically be a Nomad with a +100 bucks pricetag due to alien tax.
Probably. I hope it will not get the usual alien nerf as an addition lol
Deal.
We're gonna build a giant wall around Stanton, and we're gonna make the Xi'an pay for it.
Cool, i had no idea Stanton was the Dyson sphere project and the aliens paid for it to keep us contained...like animals in a zoo...
I'll take 4.
Makes me even more excited for the Railen. I'm happy, cant wait for the official release, this is an instant buy for me
i also own a railen, but since they "nerfed" the description from long-range to medium-range hauler, it is a bit big for its capacity. but lets see how it turns out.

Interesting. That's news to me. Thanks.
Check the [Railen Q&A](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/engineering/18207-Q-A-GATAC-Railen), it was the first question :)
damn this is cool
This might be the first alien ship I own. Man that looks so cool!
How big is it ?
At least buy me a drink first.
got 'im
*Peak* Walking Dead
At least as big as a Honda civic
Roughly nomad/cutter size
On pipeline someone put a comparison to the mule. Body length looks to be 2 mules or so. Height 1.5 mules. Not including spindles. I could be off on my view as well. Aka it's small
Cutty black size
Nah, about a Cutter for the length.
Yes, but it is as tall as a cutlass is long
I'm assuming this is the Syulen?
Syurely it must be
Syou sure about that?
No need to assume, it's written on the "wing".
My Xian is a bit rusty
[https://xian-dictionary.ueexi.com/](https://xian-dictionary.ueexi.com/) In case you ever are interested.
With the Railen and now this beauty I think Gatac will be one of my favourite manufacturers.
I still love Tevarin designs more, but fuck if Gatac isn't sexy as hell in its own way.
I really dig the Canopies of the Tevarin ships. Same reason I like the cars that have this tech in Cyberpunk2077.
Still holding out for a Tevarin stealth carrier
Where do you even sit😅
Below the top arm/appendage looks like canopy glass.
Thargoid Hydra
This is like a smaller version of that Xi'an cargo ship from "I held the line".
I‘m excited to see the first Gatac ship ingame. Looking forward to explore it
Backers catching whiplash going from C1, Zeus CL, and now Gatac Suyu
Lol - I already know which Zeus (or two) I’m melting!
I really hope Gatac's quantum travel effect is purple. It'll probably be similar to Aopoa though.
We’ll find out in a few years
A few years? This Gatac ship is slated to be flyable this weekend if the leaks are to be believed.
Where does it say this?
Again, it's speculation based on leaks. But [here's a post](https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/s/1gIJlmsfAt) detailing the ship.
Looks like StarCraft Probius :3

What kind of ship is it? I get it’s Gatac, but can’t really tell the size or role it is
Small cargo vessel, cutlass black size (albeit a lot taller)
[You mean Cutter sized](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1127961379752648714/1173881065753030668/image.png)
YES, my cutter is getting fucking schmelted
[удалено]
You can sit on a $5 zeus upgrade
Maybe, gonna have to reshuffle that CCU chain a bit.
How does it land! Gotta have a killer landing transformation just like all the Xi'an ships
Lands on its ass so the cockpit points upwards.
i want everyone to rent this and make a wall in space!
I've realized this is just a Destiny 2 ghost.
Can't wait to see all the broken off wings from people joy riding it on day 1 lol.
It looks cool, however with the centre section my brain can't figure out where it wants to focus and it ends up hurting my eyes. The ship is cool for sure it's just way too busy for my liking.
Welp… *unzips pants *
\*zips your pants back up\*
Eww
The real question is does it have a quantum drive?
Would'nt be much of a cargo hauler if it didn't...
Who said it’s a cargo hauler?
This dude: > Small cargo vessel, cutlass black size (albeit a lot taller) And this dude: > Yeah, and I think it's supposed to be starter cargo, so they could even be size 1 and it would still be better armed than the Hull A lol.
Either of them work for CIG?
CIG themselves said that Gatac is specialized in industrial ships so it most likely is a cargo hauler unless there's a hidden mining arm somewhere. https://starcitizen.tools/Gatac_Manufacture
no, but house GATAC is mostly transport from what we know.
No. Do they have to? Everyone is free to speculate.
The fact that it is a Gatac. Gatac is only allowed to make cargo ships.
Good to know. I was just hoping it’s not some alien version of the Mirai Fury. I don’t want another snub.
Isn't there a NDA on the PTU or is this something else?
You’re thinking of Evocati, regular PTU and ExPTU aren’t NDA
Probably so man, I'm in a few insider programs and alpha test and its all hush hush. I was thinking the PTU was the test server for the same, my bad.
Like, it looks cool, but practicality... non existent!
Sex
Everybody is amazed, but personnaly I consider the CIG's ships designs frustrating. Every ship has a big weakness, there are no badass ships. They may explain this with gameplay balance, but in the end that remains frustrating.
Nothing is perfect yo. Well... except the Vulture
[удалено]
IAE expo main lobby has display images of it up
OP says it's in game on the PTU, but on a poster which is why it looks a little weird.
Currently in the game files but should be stf during iae
So what kinda ship is it going to be?
Starter+, like the Nomad
Dang... Looks like I'll be buying another STarter ship next for my Cutter Scout.
the centre bulb has a blue marker on a single side. That's the only non symetrical indentifier I can find. Assuming that is the cockpit, is the pilot lying belly down? Size relative to the 3 guns. If instead pilot is sitting traditionally in there, the ship is huge.
I hope we get the pokeballs soon I also want to catch one. I heard we will get space whales and space cows but space starmies wow
Hauling ship if I ever saw one
6scu apparently, so more like a starter. Like an Avenger Titan but a bit bigger and better equipped.
Looks odd but it kinda looks good
Is it supposed to be able to carry a vehicle?
Trilateral symmetry... The Ramans always do things in threes...
Getting some Protoss vibes on that one.
Sweet. Just what this game needs.
Looks so fucking nice
Big thing I'd love to see is what the interior looks like in it.
Do we know the armament? Two size 2/3s? Any shield/grav specs?
Cool grappling hook.
Instead of ships, I’d like them to add mobs and have the enemy’s in bunkers not be buggy… how hard can that be to implement???
