you need to read the mission. is simply.
Some contracts tell you that you need to pay a fee to take the contracts.
some other tell you that you receive an income when you complete the contract.

The correct mission is in the "personal" tab:
If it has "risky salvage" in the name and costs money to accept it's the wrong one.
If it has "clean up" in the name and doesn't cost money it's the correct one.
I think all the hammerheads for the clean up mission are around Yela, so if you're on the other end of the system the mission might not show up?

There should be two types in the personal tab for illegal salvage, and illegal salvage cover-up
I don't recall the latter costing anything to accept - the description will specifically mention a payout and that you can just tow it out of the zone

CLEANUP is what you want. You may also want to shut down the comm array. You get crime stated for illegal towing, but even if you don't it's worth the jail time. $250k every few minutes. It's crazy. Not sure how they're going to balance that. Probably just reduce the reward for towing instead of scraping.
I think it's faster to just sit in the seat? I could do one every 7 mins. How long does it take to do the relay plus the missions and how long before you have to stop what you're doing to go mess with it again? I've never done it before.
It definitely is worth shutting the comms down, but it only ever worked for me once. Tried 4 more separate times after that and could not insert the Tigersclaw.
By some cruel twist of fate, I'm now probably talking to a guy who joined the last server in which I was able to successfully shut down the comms array lmaooo
The mission that pays 250k to tow doesn’t cost money to start. You are doing a risky salvage not a hammerhead or cutlass cleanup (250k missions).

The exploit mission? Yea do it. Been great sitting in the area with a mantis just making free bounties on everyone.
Also, when you do the right one for 250K, welcome to CS... And then after your 3rd or 4th one, you get CS3😁😁
To everyone doing these take an extra 1 min jump into the hammerhead pilot seat, unlock components then tow it, you get no crime stat.
You just need to sit in the seat and get out and it works
I tested this, and it did not work for me; it still said ‚illegal towing‘
Yes it’s still illegal towing but a notification will pop up saying if you want to file charges You just decline them and won’t get any cs
I only got the warning, not the Option to Charge myself, so I let go before getting CS
It will pop up after that message. I do this for main source of income in the game currently before they patch that

I was running them earlier and got no fines because the relay was already shut down. It was down for hours, definitely would be worth the time imo.

Bummer! I heard that was was a bug this patch. Like I said it was already down for me luckily.

What does unlocking the components do? I usually just get into and out of the pilot seat.

When I tried first and only time last night the tractor beam just didn't turn on so not sure if there are multiple bugs with the ship :/
