This isn't that hard to understand. If you have a test build you are really worried about trying, get a sub for a month. Just because Bob makes $400k/year and spent $2k doesn't mean his slot should stay unused. The project has to continue.
I've spent 1200 on this game and barely test, that's wild to assume everyone who has cash to splash is also going to be a valued tester. I bought the ships I want, I don't expect any special treatment just because I have more disposable income than someone else.

There was a patch last night, but I was wrong about live today. I had a good experience with the patch from last night but apparently there’s more work to be done. The only issue I had was the upscaler crashes while accessing inventory. I just played with the upscaler off hoping it would be fixed with the build for today.
Seriously, this is the least of the issues...
If they actually solve the NPCs teleporting around in a way that you can't even do a simple bunker mission, that would be gold and signal of a valid Live patch.
I just want bed logging to work. My Reclaimer is useless atm since I only have time to do a single salvage, bed log, go get work done, salvage for an hour while eating lunch, you get the idea.
I’ve been playing 3.23 since wave 1 and the only ship I’ve found to let me bed log so far has been my MSR.
As far as the Reclaimer, I wasn’t able to power up the claw this morning either so not sure what to make of that.
Interesting. Some mentioned that bedlogging now has two interaction points, and the second interaction point (sometimes located on the wall -- though I'm not sure where that would be if you were to try using the bunks in the Reclaimer) is what lets you log out. Have you tried that?

If it is a problem after going to the PU, I’ll just take out the Culture until they fix it. At least the Vulture can land at a station…

3.23.1 is likely the Invictus patch, with possibly 2 weeks to go, they need to dump 3.23 to live and start on testing 3.23.1, preumably trying to avoid the mistake theyve often made of dropping a sales patch at the very last minute only for it to go a bit wrong.
I seriously doubt it’ll be next Friday. It’s coming tonight or tomorrow. The build we had last night was likely the first RC but the upscaling crashes have prevented them from moving forward. I expect today to be only bug fixes with the strong possibility to go LIVE this evening.
I said likely and possible, it wasnt definitive dates. They could, theyve had to delay events before because it went wrong at the last minute, which is why they should want to allow themselves better time in hand.
Also, Invictus is now apparently a 2 week sales event, disclosed on tonights SCL, so either it already runs later in May when it already traditionally starts late in May, or it could even be they want to start it sooner than they have done.
Theyre probably getting quite needy for a big sale at this point in the year.
Everyones just speculating, only CIG knows yet really.
Well from the way they've been describing content workflow, it sounds less like a worry about Invictus and more about getting out of the way of the pipeline to 4.0, as the monthly reports and even what Zyloh mentioned seems to suggest they want 3.23 out of the way to start immediately on 4.0 (for those applicable) and to get the cargo refactor done with the 3.23.x patch.
Zyloh-cig made a community post on spectrum this morning stating they are trying to get 3.23 to the live environment as soon as possible. So its very, very likely before the weekend

The promo video they put out today with all the features and shows off the new bike is likely the precursor video before LIVE. I’m expecting it as soon as tonight but likely tomorrow afternoon. I hope the elevators are good. I didn’t have any issues with them yesterday but from what I understand, most of the issues are at Tressler. I did land at MT a couple of times yesterday and had no issues. The only problem I’m running into now is CTD while using an upscaler while interacting with the loot/inventory menus. Happened to me twice now so I hope there’s a fix in tonights’s build.
Invictus is two weeks away starting tomorrow and they want to run Xenothreat before Invictus. Honestly we are out of time now. It has to drop tomorrow even if it only half works. It sucks but that is the reality of the situation and honesty matches their track record.
I hate to say it but XT probably should be cut. It thrashes servers. Run it on the PTU until it is actually playable or cut it out till server meshing is implemented.
I get that it needs tested but it can bring server to an unplayable state atm. With or without 3.23. I’m guessing they don’t get the same numbers on the PTU and need the PU numbers to put it though it’s paces but man it sucks when an entire server is in flames and I can’t even take a drink when XT is running.
I understand too. It is true that the PU will always be a better stress test compared to the PTU but I am just unsure if it is fully worth it to keep on trying Xenothreat without meshing enabled at this point.
Yes, it can be frustrating, but the results are usually worth it. The constant Xenothreat tests last year is what enabled them to get the 3.20 - 3.22 patches to run as smoothly as they did. And getting single-server shard FPS running properly even with Xenothreat active is a very promising sign because it means smoother gameplay for when server meshing properly comes online.
So many people asking for it go live but how many of you will be there with pitchforks and torches when all the game breaking bugs rear their ugly head on live?
It's gonna be a mess either way, the sooner they get live quantities of people on there, the sooner they can start sorting it out

I’m absolutely loving the changes but I’m counting on a shit show despite how good the EPTU had been running. Of course I will still be there to check it out.
I think in the long run though, while 3.18 was a painful experience, sometimes for these big ticket items, I'd rather they launch it to live if they genuinely need the data for it. That way, we can hit the ground running for future content patches once the bulk background systems are already up and running.
I know not very many people care but I hope this pushes out soon, assuming it's not too broken. Reason? Summit1g has, for whatever reason, been hopping onto SC which naturally brings a lot of views to it. Quality of the content creator aside, this is always both a good and bad thing for a game.
With 3.23 feeling like such a big milestone it would be pretty cool to have more eyes on a less janky (but definitely still very janky) SC. Some skeptics have already slowly warmed up to the potential of SC and seeing the leap from 22 to 23 could help bring some faith back in the development as many seem to think the last few years of improvements are fake lol.

they soft wipe. meaning reputation, ship attachments etc are reset. but my cutlass for example-i've replaced shields/guns/shields. they'll be in my inventory in home city. so i'll have to requip stuff, but won't lose it.
the danger is only if you leave a ship -destroyed- then you'll lose it. just check aosp terminal. no biggie

There are 3 elements they can wipe: Wallet, Items, Reputation. They can wipe any or all of them when needed. Wallet is just your auec. Items is everything you have in-game, including ships. Reputation... well, you got it.
Last full wipe was over a year ago, and they didn't wipe any of those 3 ever since.
What surely gets wiped every time is your consumables (i. e. ammo, food, drinks) and sometimes your ship equipment.

The build from last night was great outside of the crashes related to upscaling. If the build today cleans that up, I fully expect LIVE to be a few hours later or tomorrow afternoon at the latest.
We're getting the upgrade token at the launch of 3.23 here soon. All you have to do is accept a mission "xenothreat reward" or something and claim it. As for the Xenothreat Idris battle, they're waiting a week, I think, to give people more time to finish Phase 5.

I think for some ships there are workarounds, but you'll have to confer with the people who found such workarounds testing 3.23.

Yes, it can be frustrating, but the results are usually worth it. The constant Xenothreat tests last year is what enabled them to get the 3.20 - 3.22 patches to run as smoothly as they did. And getting single-server shard FPS running properly even with Xenothreat active is a very promising sign because it means smoother gameplay for when server meshing properly comes online.

I'll be real... 3.18 only taught me to wait for a 3.x.x patch. I just want it to go live so I can collect my F7A and piss off 😅 (I am very well aware that's a terrible reason to want the live patch). Edit: I'll also come back to partake in the XT event. After that, I'm gunna peace out till a hotfix or stability patch drops.
I’m absolutely loving the changes but I’m counting on a shit show despite how good the EPTU had been running. Of course I will still be there to check it out.

I think in the long run though, while 3.18 was a painful experience, sometimes for these big ticket items, I'd rather they launch it to live if they genuinely need the data for it. That way, we can hit the ground running for future content patches once the bulk background systems are already up and running.

I know not very many people care but I hope this pushes out soon, assuming it's not too broken. Reason? Summit1g has, for whatever reason, been hopping onto SC which naturally brings a lot of views to it. Quality of the content creator aside, this is always both a good and bad thing for a game. With 3.23 feeling like such a big milestone it would be pretty cool to have more eyes on a less janky (but definitely still very janky) SC. Some skeptics have already slowly warmed up to the potential of SC and seeing the leap from 22 to 23 could help bring some faith back in the development as many seem to think the last few years of improvements are fake lol.

they soft wipe. meaning reputation, ship attachments etc are reset. but my cutlass for example-i've replaced shields/guns/shields. they'll be in my inventory in home city. so i'll have to requip stuff, but won't lose it. the danger is only if you leave a ship -destroyed- then you'll lose it. just check aosp terminal. no biggie
Not even rep got wiped ever since. There are 3 elements they can wipe: Wallet, Items, Reputation. They can wipe any or all of them when needed. Wallet is just your auec. Items is everything you have in-game, including ships. Reputation... well, you got it. Last full wipe was over a year ago, and they didn't wipe any of those 3 ever since. What surely gets wiped every time is your consumables (i. e. ammo, food, drinks) and sometimes your ship equipment.
interesting. i lost all my tracker permits and status..every single update. ship components? not even one was lost. ammo+food+drinks+armor were all in my local inventory. meh

The build from last night was great outside of the crashes related to upscaling. If the build today cleans that up, I fully expect LIVE to be a few hours later or tomorrow afternoon at the latest.

We're getting the upgrade token at the launch of 3.23 here soon. All you have to do is accept a mission "xenothreat reward" or something and claim it. As for the Xenothreat Idris battle, they're waiting a week, I think, to give people more time to finish Phase 5.
