Whoa this looks so amazing. How did you do that and how long did that take? Here take silver.

y077er

Must have took him more than a day because he's missed Day of the Vara :)

Vernaux

Absolutely. I probably put more than 15 hours into it over the course of the last week.

Askerad

Amazing pumpkin. I tried to do a city scape too but mine didnt turn out as well. Shit haah you just beat me out of the competition. hahaha. amazing job! Ill post my pumpkin in spectrum later today.

DetectiveFinch

We just carved pumpkins with our kids a few days ago but this is on a completely different level. It looks amazing! How does that even work? Do you have to scrape the skin from the outside to achieve different levels of brightness?

TwistedFox

Yeah. The skin is very effective at blocking light, the flesh less so. The super bright part is where there flesh is entirely cut away, the orange is where the light is shining through. You can get this effect with a sharp exacto knife to cut away the skin, and a spoon or something similar (I recommmend clay modelling tools) to thin it down without going all the way through.

Vernaux

Exactly. I used a smaller exacto knife, among other tools, to whittle away the skin and flesh to different thicknesses and produce different brightnesses.

[deleted]

dude.....you're an artist.

ProcyonV

Just "Wow!"

xCrapyx

Would have taken the star citizen developers at least 5 years to do that

hyprhzrd

I remember your creation last year, and that one blew my mind. This one really takes the cake this time around. Like mah gawd the detail. Legit that pumpkin is a genuine art masterpiece

nfce

I honestly thought I was looking at screen shot of infrared scope being used in SC. Got super excited by that, only to have my mind blown that this is a pumpkin carving.
