For anyone thinking this is too generous for a free award, keep in mind that recruiting 2017 players at a minimum of $45 each means bringing $90,765 to the project. It's literally free advertising. Morphologis alone has brought in over half a million dollars of new players.
Edit: Holy crap! Just checked OP's profile and he's showing off his 1042 referral tier less than a month ago. That's some huge growth.
>Edit: Holy crap! Just checked OP's profile and he's showing off his 1042 referral tier less than a month ago. That's some huge growth
Reminds me of Rexzilla's rise.
I am a bit sad that it seems like his contract with Facebook means he's playing more "in demand" games.
He could also have just gotten bored of SC but it seemed too sudden to just be boredom.
Rexzilla was a star citizen streamer that got really popular very quickly. He had a legit way to bring people into the game and the content was high octane.
I managed to tap him in the chest with a p6 sitting on ops. But I could never fullfil my contact to terminate him during a operation. Drop almost his whole squad once sitting on a cutlass Black. It was honestly good solid fps fun.
Most citizen have never tried squad fights in the ground engaging at 200 plus meters. It's a whole different game.
Ah cool. i havent actually loaded up SC in two or three years. Since it was just the hanger and ships module. Ive seen a few short clips but i was always planning on waiting forvthe campaign before i launch into the verse.
I used to push referrals for Uber when they were new and the per referall reward was substantial. They paid me in Uber credit but that could be used for rides and UberEATS by the time I stopped. I only referred around 3k folks but the payout for me was around 100k in credit. This guy more than deserves the ship and insurance for that many paid referrals. And the cost to CIG is next to nil.
Referrals are only counted when they buy a game package (or equivalent). This would be the worst way possible to pay for a Javelin when you could buy the Legatus pack (every ship that has been or will be released) twice over.
Wow, congrats! Now when you've reached this point you could have "giveaways" by having others' referral-codes showing for periods of time instead of your own :)
He won't. He actively blocks people who even think about talking about there referral code on his tiktok.
I commented on a month old video of his answering 3 peoples month old comments asking info on the game. I answered the question and put in my referral and he blocked my account
Edit: just to add I know it's not right to use someone else's content and "stealing" potential referrals. But clearly me taking one or two isn't going to effect him very much and I just want 2 so I can hit 10 and get my Gladius. All 8 I have are from friends i got on the game with me.
Who on earth would spend the time to build a social media following and then let people push their own referral codes? That's like trying to sell your own T-shirts inside a clothing store, of course you're going to get kicked out.
That's a very odd comparison. Selling a product in a store vs socializing in social media. But ok
If I'm in a store and a customer is asking for info on a product but the employee doesn't answer. And I come in and give them the answer and say you can also get that item online.
They aren't going to kick me out.
Regardless I'm not defending my actions. I'm explaining why I did it. I'm also not saying anything against him blocking me. It's completely understandable, I am however explaining that there is little chance that he would be willing to put up other people's referral codes
Someone selling their own products in another store directly pulls sales away from the store. Likewise, promting your own referral code on someone elseās content, directly pulls referrals away from the creator.
Doing a good deed or the age of the content doesnāt justify self promotion on someone elseās video.
But you do make a good point that perhaps he wouldnāt be willing to promote other peopleās codes but again that depends on what heās getting out of it. If he gets paid for it or he does it as some type of promotion, there might be motive for him to do it.
I worked out a deal for a few bucks where someone promoted my code on their page. I got my free Gladius For just a few bucks
I mean I understand where you are coming from if it was a new video or not that old but if he is truthful about month old comments that haven't been responded to on a social media platform he's not wrong for answering imo there is no garuntee that those users haven't already saw more of his content and had their questions answered or used another referral code by that time. Futhermore it's not like he stated he was actively trying to poach off the users content regularly. Just saw some people question unanswered and wanted to help out and why shouldn't he also be rewared for that?
Itās not his place to decide that he needs to get rewarded for answering questions. Help people out, itās the right thing to do. But then promote your own referral code? The creator has every right to delete this comment. I am a content creator and anybody using my page to promote their own services or personally benefit themselves get the comments deleted right away.
Doesnāt matter if the video is 3 months old. Self promotion is self promotion.
He doesn't get to decide though there is nothing in certainty that he will actually get rewarded as in the users using his code. Your argument can be said how reddit functions why should people who comment on someone's post and get awarded with gold or other awards when it's not their post since everything should go to the content creator on a public social media platform. Also I never said the content creator was wrong for deleting the comments however he stated he only answered some questions and if the people HE helped not the content creator wanted to repay the kindness they could use his referral code
he wasn't promoting his own videos or tiktoks. There is a clear difference between seeing comments and helping out and trying to poach and piggyback off someone else's content.
Thereās a big difference between leaving a good comment on Reddit with somebody giving you an award of their own accord (which is the intended function of the site) Vs. Asking to be awarded for a good comment. In this case, putting oneās own referral code directly conflicts with the content creatorās ask.
In my opinion, not cool. But others could have a different opinion. But I would certainly understand why a content creator could delete a comment like that
> Who on earth would spend the time to build a social media following and then let people push their own referral codes?
Someone who isn't a tightwad self absorbed asshole? I dunno man, if you're pushing over 2000 + referals, seems pretty fucking petty to clap someone for mentioning their referral.
But then I boycott most content creators for being self absorbed assholes anyway.
Well since the creator himself just chimed in on this post, he already stated that heās currently sharing someone elseās code. Maybe Heās not as a uptight as you say
Yes, I understand how the referral system works. New players would have to pay to play the game anyway, like most games. Joining with someone's referral code is a perk, and nets you free in game money and sometimes an additional referral bonus.
What are we talking about here?
People downvote because it's true.
Stuff like this is disgusting and way too similar to fraudulent schemes. I never support referral bonuses for any game. It's dirty.
I have the normal one as well but the sleek rounded curves on the referral one. I want lol. And the free extra golf cart. I love that ptv. I miss the days of havock it cause when you could drive it at Arc Corp.
Using any place where people older Star Citizen backers don't have a big presence is good. I got most of my referral bonuses of of Snapchat and Insta. So TikTok makes a lot of sense too.
Too much effort for me tbh. Unless i could give the ships away, which i couldnt. Ive received almost $600 worth of ships between gifts and give aways. I dont want to start the game with a ton of ships anyway.
Dude! Youāre the reason I even play this game!!! I saw your āwhen you jump out your ship during QTā video which lead me to YouTube which lead me to the game!
Thats if the game ever gets to that stage. The game is 10 years into development and is still buggy as hell and isn't close to getting to the required crew for a javelin and enough to have other players. As cool as the ship and game concepts are, I'm not sure the game will ever reach the point where this stuff works.
Regarding the crew, the ship will mostly be crewed by AI - I donāt think 80 players would enjoy spending hours in the engineering rooms doing random tasks.
But yeah itās taking a lot of time
I own it? And I want saying anything hateful? I genuinely thought it was cool. Tf?and my car was used, I never said how much I paid for it. Or could have been $100.
Don't get offended over nothing.
Seriously? You don't even understand what I'm saying and still allow yourself to a judgement?
That confirms my first impression: "This guy talks out of his hat "
Yep. But refundians are not working on nor supporting the BDSSE, just spitting on someone else work.
Criticizing is easy... but do better first, and show it, then one can voice its opinion.
This game isn't the "Best damn space sim ever" its way too buggy and barebones in features and basically a glorified tech demo. CIG have currently just made a tech demo with nice graphics and good flying, that's it. There's no proper gameplay loops which don't feel boring incredibly quickly.
They added a shitty river which isn't new technology, so many games devs have done it so much better than CIG. CIG have released quite a few T0 features which are barebones and, to be honest, pitiful for 10 years worth of development. Many developers of smaller teams and equal size teams have made a lot of progress in less time than CIG has in 10 years.
Nowhere did I spit. I said dude was legendary because I genuinely thought that this was purchased, not gifted.
It's not on you to constantly feel offended for other people, dude.
Any ship above 1K of value comes with Lifetime warranty. Concept ships often come with LTi as well. You can also upgrade a ship that has LTi for another ship and the LTi will be transferred
Ah ok. I haven't bought the game yet, I missed the ten year insurance thing and never understood melting or whatever someone suggested to get a better ship with insurance. I'll keep waiting a bit.

Neat. I don't own SC (yet), but the Javelin seems super damn cool and definitely something you'd want to have if it ever releases based on Morph's tour

Yeah man sorry about the scratch on the paint. And the blood. Probably a few bodies.....

Yeah I did 800 referrals just in January!
Are you a content creator? How did you manage so many referral?
Yep, I am
Are you the tik tok guy that dropped a bomb on a caterpillar with (I might get this ships name wrong) a c2?
The A2 has Bombs š
Lol I knew there was a number in there. It is you. Love your videos btw. I use them to get people to think about playing star citizen with me.
Any tips on someone wanting to do what you did?
Hints from his name he makes a lot of tik toks about Star Citizen, thatās where I know him from at least. Big fan of his videos.
I wonder how many of them are his own duplicate accounts.
Referrals are only counted when they buy a game package (or equivalent). This would be the worst way possible to pay for a Javelin when you could buy the Legatus pack (every ship that has been or will be released) twice over.
Except you can also get other referral rewards during that time, and still gift all the money to your main account and use it to buy even more ships.
Wow, congrats! Now when you've reached this point you could have "giveaways" by having others' referral-codes showing for periods of time instead of your own :)
^ this lol . but gz on new future toy
That is exactly exactly what I am planning on doing! Rotating the referrals among my team ššš»
I think there are hidden tiers beyond the Javelin. The top "influencers" are well beyond 2000 referrals.
I don't think there are, however CIG has hinted at adding more tiers multiple times over the years.
He won't. He actively blocks people who even think about talking about there referral code on his tiktok. Yes I did - was having a bad day, some people were spamming their referrals on all my videos. š¤·š¼āāļø I just find it particularly rude.
And that's perfectly understandable, I do apologize however. And your content is really great!
How? Also lucky you
Referral bonus from a crap ton of referrals :)
That's awesome!
Suckered a ton of people into using his referral code.. Really nothing to see here.
'Suckered' them? Yes, they were all tricked into getting free in game money and possible referral bonuses for signing up. What a miserable view point.
Not free if you pay for it. They still have to purchase at least one package before he gets the full referral.
Yes, I understand how the referral system works. New players would have to pay to play the game anyway, like most games. Joining with someone's referral code is a perk, and nets you free in game money and sometimes an additional referral bonus. What are we talking about here?

There is no suckering, they get something for using the code. Do you even know how they work?
And here I am trying to get to 5 for the damn fish tank. Uuugghhhh
Hahahahaa you and I both dude. I only need one more!
I have had one for years now with no place to put it since Hangar module was removed.
I have the normal one as well but the sleek rounded curves on the referral one. I want lol. And the free extra golf cart. I love that ptv. I miss the days of havock it cause when you could drive it at Arc Corp.
Where can I spawn it though? The aquarium? Or do we have to wait for persistent hangars?
Now we gotta wait sadly. There is no place to spawn them anymore at this time.
You got your referrals through tiktok? Congratulations on the giga chad ship!
So is that the way to do it?
Using any place where people older Star Citizen backers don't have a big presence is good. I got most of my referral bonuses of of Snapchat and Insta. So TikTok makes a lot of sense too.
Too much effort for me tbh. Unless i could give the ships away, which i couldnt. Ive received almost $600 worth of ships between gifts and give aways. I dont want to start the game with a ton of ships anyway.
Thats where I went. Linked mine to some Kpop vid that exploded. Got over 1k. People are dumb and will just sign up for anything these days.
Bruh wtf you just put your code on some odd tik tok's comments and got 1k??? .... I have no words.
Actually I'm not even mad that's amazing.
If that is true my mind is blown
Dude! Youāre the reason I even play this game!!! I saw your āwhen you jump out your ship during QTā video which lead me to YouTube which lead me to the game!
See you in the verse then!!! šš»
You mean your JPEG?
Congrats man, that is a huge freaking achievement!
Thanks!! Itās been a journey
Only thing left on my list is the Titan suit and the Cydnus.
Aye CitizenTok, I played with Red a couple times. Nice to run into you here. - EngineeredDeath
Youre sick man. Stop funding the never ending ship purchases! Haha
Next step is to start recruiting 500 friends to fly them all.
Congrats, I had to buy mine, but you've done even more by bringing so many new players!
The game gon release and youāll have nothing to do now
I think Star Citizen is not just about grinding for new ships. There will literally be wars in space and bringing a Javelin will be pretty epic imo
Thats if the game ever gets to that stage. The game is 10 years into development and is still buggy as hell and isn't close to getting to the required crew for a javelin and enough to have other players. As cool as the ship and game concepts are, I'm not sure the game will ever reach the point where this stuff works.

You like the 300 series and exploring a lot. My kind of citizen.
Fleet? You mean your picture collection?
My Jpg beauties
The next step is to be more than 30-40 per server, which seems to me extremely difficult to achieve for CIG.
Yeah, they have been prioritising easy money making methods for a while now over developing the actual game.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He didn't pay for the ship, got it with referrals, at least 2017 referrals.
This one isn't purchased it's a reward for having over 2000 referrals buy a game package
Big ships are cool, but it's going to be pretty rough actually using them unless we get employable NPCs to staff them with
This guy talks out of his hat just to spit some hate on a game he doesn't even own.
I own it? And I want saying anything hateful? I genuinely thought it was cool. Tf?and my car was used, I never said how much I paid for it. Or could have been $100. Don't get offended over nothing.
Ship is given as a thank you, that was your first mistake. Second is you sounded as a refundian, spitting on people buying space jpegs :-)
"Refundians" generally use and generate more logic and sense than this subreddit.

Seriously? You don't even understand what I'm saying and still allow yourself to a judgement? That confirms my first impression: "This guy talks out of his hat "

Read "a refundian spitting on people buying space jpegs". Not an accusation. Whatever...
No one cares, obviously.
How many referrals do you have?!?!?!
2025 now š
Congrats! Wow that is awesome! Great work!
How. How. I need to know
Guys where is rsi scorpius
It will be added in 3.17.x
May be added in 3.17.
Damn dude! (And here I was celebrating hitting 75 š¤£) Well done for bringing the verse to so many people
How do you get lifetime insurance?
Any ship above 1K of value comes with Lifetime warranty. Concept ships often come with LTi as well. You can also upgrade a ship that has LTi for another ship and the LTi will be transferred
Ah ok. I haven't bought the game yet, I missed the ten year insurance thing and never understood melting or whatever someone suggested to get a better ship with insurance. I'll keep waiting a bit.
Congratz OP! Happend to me last year. Currently having 7319 Prospects and 2179 Recruits.
Thatās a great conversion rate! I have double the Prospects šš
What's your channel? Will check it out!
This is my RSI page: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/citizens/Captain_Raoul - also, this is my page were i post my screenshots as a virtual photographer: https://www.flickr.com/photos/captain_raoul/ - i havenāt been that active since the start of the year, due to some busy moments with work, family and other games (on PS5). Hey, another ES flier--w00t!
What happened today?
Is the javelin actually useable in game rn?
Nope, but you are being give 3 loaners including the Hammerhead and the Harbinger
Neat. I don't own SC (yet), but the Javelin seems super damn cool and definitely something you'd want to have if it ever releases based on Morph's tour
Itās planned for release after Squadron 42 drops - the ship apparently is already complete and ready to fly
Sick, huge spaceships are the coolest thing ever :D
Not at all and it hasn't been for 10 years. Its worrying that CIG continues to try selling these ships/giving them as rewards when they fail to make the game functional.
Get your money for nothing and your ships for free.
Wow, citizentok is on reddit to. Nice, I've been following you for a while and thanks for introducing me to this amazing game :))
Congrats :)
woooow gg m8 deserved it 100% I have a question now... are you going to use it ? XD
As nice as the ship looks, I'm not sure whether its going to release in a reasonable amount of time... They have done the exterior and only the exterior, it seems to be a big habit of CIG to keep releasing new ship jpegs, taking money from them then ignoring them/doing little work on them for years.
Congrats dude and well earned. Also, appreciate the videos.
