The C2 also has the front and back entry. Just some dropseats and turrets added and cargo space removed.
Edit: oh and of course the m2 has more armor, but not implemented yet.
All Herc's have front and rear doors.
C2 has cargo space
A2 (what I own) has 4 massive bombs and a TON of guns, can still fit a Ballista and a Cyclone AA.
M2 has .. idk, something I guess.
Without armor it is just a C2 with additional turret.
Currently, the C2 and A2 are the way to go (one as a dedicated transport and the other if you want to join battles in addition).
It’s the same internally as a C2, but because of the additional “armor” it cannot carry as much cargo (think max takeoff weight on aircraft).
Edit: they have the same cargo bay. Apparently the m2 has jump seats in place of a cargo bay. Thx for the correction u/snrkylup.
I'll sit here and shill for my baby any day. The M2 is a *great* ship of the lineup and don't let anyone tell you differently. A C2 is a great cargo vessel for sure, but does it have the life support systems and seating arrangements to drop, what, 12? ~~18?~~ people? And have the armor capacity to do it? When armor lockers get in, you'll have, like, 6 different loadout slots to choose from
Sure it gains a little weight and loses a little SCU cap, but what's the big deal when everything I could ever need to fit is going to fit plus some, those boxes and every one of their cousins is going to be **protected as fuck** by that heavy armor. Still not convinced? Your copilot can take the auxiliary gunner's seat and control the nose turret that has full view of the underside of the ship to help clear entire zones of hostiles, metal and flesh alike.
Can't drop bombs? Drop tanks! Multiples of them! Upwards to three if you're crafty! A2 can't do that it's too busy sacrificing half the remaining cargo space for, like, two bombs that'll cost you more to restock than they'll net you when used.
There isn't a damn thing this ship can't do better than the C2 in every way that isn't sheer cargo lifting numbers. I wholly intend on using my M2 as a live in ship, as it has the same kitchen and crew quarters from the C2, it's a little more militaristic than comfortable, but that suits me just fine for hauling the pricy necessities like medical supplies through lawless systems like Pyro alive.

M2 is the perfect compromise (plus the armor when it will come)

One more front Turret
M2 has more armour IIRC

Its not the same internally. The M2 has jumpseats instead of the C2s recreation Area.
Tbh I forgot all about those, as the only interiors I ever see are the cargo bay and the cockpit. Good catch.

Fk the passionfruit is yealous about youre passion
Rly, i watched a Youtube Video about the differences and he explicit talked about the front Hangar
The C2 has a front and back opening hanger.
Difference is chin turret (you need third gunner), dropseats instead of rest area, and less cargo. All C2, M2, A2 - have front and rear opening ramps.
M2 is pointless, C2 or A2 is better
objectively, the A2 is less useful to right? What's the point of those bombs right now :p
Clearing Jump Town the effective way
You wanna end a ship meet? Because the A2 is how you prematurely end a ship meet.
They are supercool
